I gotta call shenanigans on this one. Though it can be a lie at times, there are many, many foods that in fact taste orders of magnitude better than they smell. Especially cheeses, mushrooms, and some meats.

Examples: Cambozola cheese- can smell quite off-putting, but IMO the best tasting cheese on earth. Bucheron can smell quite bad, but tastes delicious. Many wild mushrooms smell, well, fungal (which of course they are) but taste wonderful. Raw pork (especially some sausages) can smell quite unpleasant, but when cooked taste splendiferous. Chitlins smell terrible, even when cooking, but can taste wonderful. Though I admit limburger tastes as bad as it smells.

Of course there are also foods that smell much better than they taste. That is sort of the food lying, I guess.

I call a different kind of shenanigans. I've seen bud that looked great, all crystaly and stuff, smelled great AND tasted great but provided a weak ass high. I've also had bud that did not look all that great, that smelled kind of weak and tasted just ok but totally nailed me to the wall.

Have definitely had that happen. Pretty, tasty, useless.

Here's a lie that drives me personally insane. "Obama is taking away our rights!" As someone who works in the law, I can tell you our rights HAVE been dramatically degraded since 2008. But ALL as a result of conservative Supreme Court decisions directly counter to White House arguments and wishes.

Republicans are saying that Obama is imposing his will on the American people. He has cemented his legacy of lawlessness and has squandered what credibility he has left. He is acting like a king. This is such bullshit - they are a party of blow hards and liars, what a bunch of hypocrites. George Bush Jr got away with all kinds of things - like starting a war...... Throwing the U.S into almost a depression. All the people that lost their homes. That all started on George Bush's watch.

I always vote Democrat but I think its time for more than the 2 party system of government.

All these damn attacks, bombings, shootings, etc. that we see plastered on the news everyday. I wouldn't doubt that some are real. But some could easily be inside jobs/faked.:worms: Countless lives lost to get us scared of the "enemy", whether it's a country, religion, diseases, or weapons. Slowly sucking away our rights to "protect us". Fear-mongering and deception. :tinfoil:

But hey, maybe I just watch too much of The Walking Dead. :zombie:

I remember when he got rid of the medical exception for bankruptcy, on a whim like it was no big deal even though our ever-more dysfunctional medical system was leaving more people high and dry than ever before. Just because his rich banker buddies asked him to, all in the name of "reform" kinda like student loans.
