Music from the 1950's through early 60's - The early days of Rock & Roll

Contrary to common belief, this song is not about a 1959 Buick. In the early '50's Buick made a model 59. It happened to be a station wagon and not quite as cool as a Roadmaster, but Buick 72 probably didn't sound as good.
1954 - Buick 59 - The Medallions

Elvis Presley: ...
True story.
It was about 1987-88. I was 150 miles from home at the home of an acquaintance dealer.
I hoped to return home with some illegal cannabis (need to point that out these days in some places, times have changed).
My friend had a CD playing. Compact disks were new to me at that time.
I asked, "Who is that singing?".
My friend looked at me quizzically and replied, "That's Elvis!"

Happy New Year everyone!
Here are two people that come to mind when I think of New Year's Eve.

1957 - Dick Clark - American Bandstand

and for us old enough to remember:

1955 - Guy Lombardo - New Year's Eve Party
