There are a couple 60t for sale/trade on glass.nuggetry.com. I see alot of Mobius pieces posted there every week.
Is it really a good Bubbler???
What sets the Mobius Ion Matrix Bubbler apart from others???
Why is it so good?
p.s. You cant use ice in it correct?
It's probably the best glass I've owned, not saying that's a lot but I've owned David Goldstein and Black Leaf pieces and they just can't compare to the smoothness of Mobius.
Besides the dragless design, it's super easy to clean and has a very efficient base protecting it from a fall unlike its brother, the Clear Matrix.
No, due to the dewaar joint you can't use ice in it, however the bub's design allows so much diffusion that ice is unnecessary.

Mobius pieces are generally hard to find. Your best bet was to do what I did and set your homepage to ALT's Mobius section and wait for a shipment from the company.
I did not. Sure wish those pics were mine, though!Hey vtac - Did you go to the 420 show? I so wanted to drive down but just couldn't pull it off.
It's man made.Hey, vtac.... I should've been more clear that my post about using bison urine to clean glass was just an April Fools Joke.
What are you using in there?
See, I knew it. I'm a little upset that I bought my Ion Matrix after Mobius started blowing up in popularity and their production volume increased. I feel like they changed the design of their Matrix perc and I was originally interested in purchasing an Ion that looks similar to vtac's. Instead I get this:
Does anyone see what I'm trying to say or am I just going crazy??
Don't get me wrong, I love this piece.. just wish the perc looked differently for aesthetic purposes.
I think the only options I have are to either deal with it, or sell it and find someone selling their older model. If only...
The original perc design was even larger. Back then people complained that it wasn't possible to get all the holes firing. That was still the case with the shorter version seen in my pics. Whether or not the non-firing holes contribute to the drag-less-ness at all is up for debate. The aesthetics are personal preference, but you're probably not missing anything as far as functionality is concerned.
Glassblowers change their designs from time to time. I wouldn't worry about it too much. With a smaller matrix you'll be able to use less water which can be a plus.

If you are talking about the off lean to the downstem, I think that is just the water refracting the light. If I received that I would return it.. Looks nothing like the real ones..
I searched this thread and did not really see much on this but do you Mobius Ion Matrix Bubble owners recommend a good storage case for it? I assume it just come bubbled wrapped?
Thanks!
I use the Ryot Axe Pack 14" for my Mobius beaker. Would be perfect for the Matrix as well. A high-quality case for a high-quality piece

when you say beaker, do you mean large matrix clear bubbler? just want to make sure it fits if i get, also how much width room around the base if so?I use the Ryot Axe Pack 14" for my Mobius beaker. Would be perfect for the Matrix as well. A high-quality case for a high-quality piece

Yeah I agree. Less = more with the Matrix perc.Kuroth1 said:vtac said:The original perc design was even larger. Back then people complained that it wasn't possible to get all the holes firing. Good Info.. I did not realize that.. Now I am not so worried about mine I have on order..
Matrix is the perk version, not the model. If you call a headshop and tell 'em you're looking for a Mobius Matrix they'll ask you which matrix perk you're looking for.Looks good but would the 10 inch one work for the Matrix? The Matrix is 9.5 in tall.
