nice! yea, i have an 18" DG for the monster hits and a nice SYN reverse showerhead small can for the smaller hits, i needed something inbetween and was glad that between this and the ion i was able to get this. will nicely fill out my collection
. in the goldilocks zone. am sure you'll enjoy ur ion just as much tho . gonna have to wait for christmas to get the Dab essentials domeless nail that i've been looking at.

ok, it's gotten worse! i happened to check kultureva and found that they do have the stereo matrix disc perc i've been looking for. so, dilemma, dilemma. do i cancel my alt order and go get the matrix disc instead or stick with the matrix bub. i already have a fritted disk tube so i am leaning with sticking with the bubbler for varieties sake. i guess i got till 8 am at least to cancel my order. unless, of course, one of you smart cookies grabs it first

the level of diffusion. as i said i have a fritted disk that works perfect so i am thinking of stickin' to my decision, unless one of you glass jedi's can tell me why one is better than the other. i love that i can take massive rips and hold 'em long with my fritt, but as i said i have a smaller reverse showerhead and that isn't quite enough sometimes so i'm trying to find that goldilocks zone. also variety is the spice of life. any suggestions?
EDiT - oh, and i use my pieces for dabs almost exclusively (some vaping)

The LHS down in the San Fernando Valley carry most everything. Last time I was in one... looked at a lot of SGW, SB, LW, Toro. They supposedly carried Mobius, but I didn't see any. They had plenty of the others.
There's one old school one, that's been there since I think the 70s. I know it dates back to the 80s. They are supposed to have a regular stock of Mobius. I just haven't had a chance to hit them up. I'll just spend some time in the phone book, call them all. I'm sure between there and West LA... I can track one down.
Have to have the $$$ first though. With the HQ stuff, do I have a chance of getting pieces, under online prices?

not in my experience. online shops don't have the same overhead and can usually drop price a little. that said, i have found certain makers pieces go for the same no matter where they are sold. might have price restrictions as terms of sale to proprietors. my two cents

My Matrix Ion arrived a couple hours ago, I was eagerly waiting for its delivery. My first impression was that the main can is wider and taller than I had expected, the low drag was not surprising since I was hitting my Toro which has low drag as well. i really love the look and build quality put into the piece. After a couple of runs of of it with the LSV I must say it has very low drag but diffuses remarkably, each hit is so smooth. There is a very slight flavor loss but its not a concern at all especially for its amount of diffusion. All in all, I really have fallen in love with this piece for its size, look, quality and diffusion.

I opted for the cheapest shipping method and it took six days to deliver, I believe it was ground shipping.

Yeah, I'd say if you're going to own just one, or if you just want to start out with a bang... Mobius is the way to go. Of course, its always a big dispute/debate, but its just a shared IMO. We all have opinions.
Lot of good glass out there, that would probably please you, just as much... but I don't think anything that would just knock you out, so much you ever regretted your purchase. Still #1 on my list of lust glass.
EDIT: Frederick's video just gets me more confused. 4:20 of Matrix and Reti percs, I kept switching between, "oh... I like that", then the next pull/piece, "oh... I didn't notice that, I like that to". Both look to have very distinctive pulls/drag (what there is). It looks like the Reti has a bit more drag, on the initial pull and maybe a bit more glug, thru the pull (but uses more of the perc throughout)? Is that correct?

Yeah, The diffusion in the reti feels rougher, like the bubbles are being thrown around a bit more.
I notice when I'm hitting the reti, that some bubbles shoot down a bit before they come up, but with the matrix they mostly seem to come up straight out of the perc.
It could be because the reti perc is basically a double reti, as there's a smaller perc inside the big one.
The reti does have a tiny bit more drag, but on my "drag scale" () they'd still get the same score, it's a pretty subtle difference drag-wise.
I tend to use the matrix more and I was planning on selling the reti, but after using it for these vids for the first time in a while, I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping it

I am thinking of passing on my Ion soon. It's a supurb piece for sure, but unfortunately just too small for my daily driver. My neck has been hurting for a while, since using it. I decided to stop and try another piece for a while, and sure enough my neck is much better now. So sad to say, it's going to be heading over to the classifieds soon. I will say though, I am very glad I got to try it out, and see just how amazing the quality is. I will be keeping an eye out for a larger matrix piece for future purchase. I am very pleased over all with the quality of the mobius!
