Not sure, I was just using the inhaler as an example, but the more I use the Mivape I mean im not sure what to think it does have a harsh kind of draw since it makes me cough so much but at the same time there isn't much visible vapor, I just wonder if it is working properly. What would you do keep it or return it?
Bubba, if you're not satisfied, return it. I own over 100 (but by no means a vape expert) but none of them burn my herb black. The ones that have harsh draws I do not ever use or wish I never bought them. If you pay over $200 and you get 2-3 versions of the product and it don't work, get a refund and wait til it is perfected then buy it. Move on to something else that is a little more proven while keeping an eye in this direction.

Mivape Note: Even using 420 Soak n' Rinse solution must be doing something to the painted arrows and "hot" paint as it is wiping right off after soaking. as well as some white residue forming on the inside of the mouth piece under the screen, even after rinsing with water, looks like some type of chemical reaction turning the plastic white.

I'm definitely no plastics expert but I think it is made of the residual plastic that is left over from the toy models my dad and I built as a kid, you know you had to twist the pieces out and were left with the plastic molds that held all the pieces of the model in a flat sort of way so it was easier to get into the box.:mental:

I think the mouthpiece should be made entirely of glass or something, perhaps aluminium w/glass draw stem.

Or perhaps the same material as the crafty/mighty. From what I understand they use the same plastic as AUDI uses on their cars engines which is super heat resistant. I find the crafty/mighty to be a more than acceptable vaporizer, other than the fact there is a lot of conduction going on in the chamber.

An all glass mp on the Mivape would rule! Good idea @Archaicrevival

The price would go up and may be hard to design but even if they did get the the mouthpiece tooled out of better material, The vapors produced from this is too harsh for me for some reason. I literally had to take a break my throat was starting to hurt, and even though I had not seen hardly any vapors The herbs would be near black and very brown on the bottom of the cup and brown/green on the top. I have hope in the future for this vaporizer and will keep my eye on it.

Thank you for the info my friend. If this is a known issue I hope they are brainstorming about it right now!

An all glass vapor path would be awesome! I 100% agree!!!!!

I have a that same problem.. the vapors are so harsh it burns my throat and causes me to cough. So far very little black herb. Should I turn the temp down? Would that help with the harshness and coughing?
again...newbie...I don't know shit!

I thought this was suppose to be an all glass vapor path vape or am I confusing it with something else?

@smutman The vapor path goes through the unit, then through the cheapest plastic I have ever seen to the mouth piece.

Oh Ya, I got my mivape today too guys.

First impression....cheap. Like the Sonic vaporizer cheap. Cheaper than any flowermate product cheap.

I am thoroughly disappointed in the materials used and build quality of the unit. The hinges for the mouth piece and battery leave a lot to be desired. :sherlock:

If I look down into the bowl portion of my mivape, I can see what appears to be white glue at the bottom of the glass chamber.:hmm: Looking closely it looks like the chamber is lined with cotton. So it could be glue or wet then dried cotton stuck to the bottom???

If that weren't bad enough, when it's charging, standing up, on it's side, whatever way the unit says charging and fluctuates from 95% to 50% to 70% to low battery to fully charged. There is a definite connection problem going on inside the unit.

Click pic below to see charging video.

This thing looks like a nightmare!!!:uhoh:

***EDIT IN***

Tried taking the battery out of the mivape. Wasn't one of the changes to make the battery come out easier?

Here is a video of me trying to get the battery out.

@Archaicrevival that's what it looks like after a very close up inspection. It looks like a piece of wet cotton that got caked on the underside of the chamber, almost like paper mache. It looks like paste.

I still cannot remove my battery no matter what I do. It clicks when I push it into the unit but it doesn't catch and stay. I can only get the battery out just flush with the bottom of the unit. I tried gently prying it with a knife but it won't budge.

Battery is still charging all wacky after 6-7 hours.

Anyone else with the new version of the mivape having any similar issues or any other issues with their mivape?

TIA

Perhaps this is where the off gassing is coming from on units others have mentioned?

I have not noticed any "off gassing" or mystery vapors on this replacement unit if the screen is cleaned. After 2 or 3 quarts cups the unit will emit vapors likely from cannabinoids sticky nature and them sticking to the plastic mouthpiece and screen. After soaking in 420 Soak n rinse solution with a new screen and new mouthpiece no "mystery vapors" were seen at 340F. However I do not think the unit is vaporizing herbs properly and as expected since the bottom becomes blackened even at 340F with very little vapors if any.

Yes, I had to let it go overnight before I got a full notice on the screen.

Try a different data cord, @Vape Dr. if the status doesn't change. I didn't have that plastic looking residue under the bowl. Just insulation.

The only difference I notice are:
-the temperature settings
-improvement in the lid.
-more of a challenges inserting the mouthpiece in the unit. It's take a bit of wiggling but it will seat.

Tested a bowl at 275 and was surprised after having used the first version. Still getting darker material where the air travels to the bowl. Packing it less gave me room just to shake it gently to swirl around the material. ABV came out blonde and dark but vapes non-the-less. Taste diminished after 4th draw but got vape from what you'd expect at 275.

So, that has been my experience so far. Waiting for version 3 now. Hoping for a back to the drawing board as to how to make the unit feel like a like solid vaporizer. I feel like if those who are willing to stick with the continuing R&D of this vape they will be rewarded.

If I sound delirious forgive me as I'm getting over a flu.

Just so Dab HAppy!
I got mine today. No problems but I have the white paper mache looking spot like @Vape Dr. One of my quartz cups seems like it might not fit into the slides. No issues charging. 3 hours and I was 100%. I did a couple burn offs at 350 and one at 400 and saw no offgassing. I tried herbs at 375f and got some small clouds. I have tried 350f, 365f and 400f also. Seems best to pack lightly about 3/4 way full pick you temp for flavor and step it up as needed for cloud production. Its built to be like an electronic ubie with the way the glass/quartz capsules are designed but it does not produce clouds like one and tastes nuttier towards the end. I have only done 4 or 5 sessions but I feel like performance is similar to conduction vapes as I feel the taste isnt as good. I would compare this to be more like my Flowermate V5.0 Pro which sits on the shelf.

I will give more feedback on Monday after I have put it through some more use. I just tried some wax/shatter on top of the wax cloth they provide and I got some hits from it but I felt it was stretching it out. What I could do in one hit on top of flower in my Daisy ended up being about 7 or 8 small hits in the miVape...I know its not really any comparison. I felt like it needed more heat to extract faster and give bigger hits so I may try less wax cloth or more wax/shatter or maybe a flower-wax-flower sandwich...who knows

Hey guys, hoping your having better luck than me.

Here is an update.

I got my battery to charge, but it only charges with the battery door open.

I went to do a few burn offs but when I turn the mivape on it says "standby" and shuts off.

If I open the battery door the unit will turn on, go to C & F with a little finesse it will let me set the temperature. I set it at 430F. It reached temp in 10 seconds (ya right). I went to pull the mouth piece (with the crucible in) and it is stuck in there. If I pull on it any harder, it will break for sure. I wanted to check for off gassing fumes from the chamber with the little white thing stuck to the bottom of it.

In conclusion.
Only charges with battery door open. took 7 plus hours to fully charge.
Only turns on with battery door open, but does not function.
Mouth piece and crucible permanently stuck in unit.
One extremely unhappy customer.

Can and will provide video proof or pics of anything if any one wishes to see.

Very very disappointed with the mivape. I thought vaporfection had higher standards...

***EDIT IN***

After a bit of persistent pulling and prying I was able to get the button unstuck and now the mouthpiece comes out....so there's that.....

Now when I turn the unit on with the battery door shut it says "low battery" instead of "stand by" now and shuts off.
Still non functioning and the battery door has to be open to get it to stay on, still not working. If I push on the battery at all with the door open the unit shuts off.

You have convinced me hat now is still not the time to buy a mivape.

Send it back. Get one that works properly or get your $ back.
