My Touch arrived within a few days of payment last week. Since I am a newly converted "microdose"
apostle, I really appreciate the flavor and efficiency that the Touch does so well. Coming from another hand made convection vape, I enjoy the tactile interface with the Touch better than a button. No slander implied, just want to give some perspective. I do find myself turning the stem a few times to allow for complete exposure to the heat stream. 1 basket screen load is plenty for me to complete my end of day 'mind-right' program. Thanks for the great work and attention to detail Dave. The Touch is a fine example of artisan craftsmanship. Probably already covered the battery placement earlier, I found out that my Touch likes the button up top. Button on bottom means constant heat, bypass switch, constant heat. No worries, button up!

Have you been able to kill a single stem in one dry hit @mephisto? Are you using the stock stems or are you using others? Does the lack of a button feel secure if you were to take this out for a day?

I have not had the desire to attempt a one hit crusher. Maybe if I was in prime form I would give it a go. Been riding the t-break train for 60 odd days, so I am happy to nurse a stem (stock) for the 7 hits I have gotten from 1 filling this evening. Never thought I would appreciate being a total herb lightweight, but zero tolerance and finely tuned convection make the experience quite enjoyable. Not to derail, but I really had no clue how much over consuming I was doing in search of the head space that is now within easy reach.
On another note, I would rather sit and enjoy using the Touch, or vapes similar in form, than futz with the GH. To be sure, the GH is my absolute ninja factor face punch machine. No need for stealth around the house, so it is my pleasure to have the Touch as part of the arsenal. I believe I heard my 'nano say Fuck You! when I put the Touch back on the shelf. Poor log has not seen any love since the new kid arrived.

That I love with the Touch is how it is tasty even after several hits. Actually I'm vaping a stem of kief from my grinder mmmh....., that's like honey vapor!

I've been rigorously testing this thing for the last few hours and my initial impressions are very good

My first thought when I opened the box was:



The way the quilted maple shimmers in the light is quite mesmerizing



Obviously, I'll have a more informed opinion once I've used it for a while. But I will say the flavor and efficiency have been very impressive so far. The battery life is quite good as well. I got 6 or 7 sessions on a 25R, and when I put it on the charger it was still at 3.87v, so I probably could've gotten a couple more at least. And I'm sure this may improve some once I get my technique down.

@Lookatmeglow Experimenting earlier, I managed to kill off a load in one milky hit through a waterpipe. I held the button the entire time, and used draw speed to manage the temperature. Risky business for sure, but it worked out this time haha

Love the shimmer on yours, haven't seen one of the new designs that didn't shimmer like that yet. Great sign.

That's all the quilted maple, even the old Mist vaporizer had that iridescent quality to it thanks to the wood Dave uses, so worry not! Can be hard to capture in photos, but I am sure all are just as stunning as they have been for me (and I've tested several different pieces now actually)

Glad to see some satisfied new users, even if it's far from surprising at this point

Just got back from Post office and I have my BEAUTIFUL MVT vape.

I can only stare at it right now. Spent an hour in the dentist chair and 1/2 my face is still numb and I look like I had a stroke.

IS the placement of screens intentional? If the screens are just shoved in or are suggested placements?

It is now 40 minutes later and I have a problem. Even though I still can't vape I thought it would be cool to put a battery into the MVT touch the button and see the glow of the coils (that is the purpose of the view holes).

Now, regardless of touch even regardless of the on/off switch on the bottom if there is a battery in the MVT the coils glow red.

Did I just get "lucky" again or is there something to reset or does the unit have to go back the 6000 miles from whence it came?

Currently there isn't much formatting and no button to go to the home page but you all can deal with that.

@sickmanfraud the screen placement is up to you. I had the custom stems made so you can push the screen to the base and it stays put. You can move the screen up as you wish but then you probably need push sticks to load and adjust the screen, chopsticks work well for push sticks.

The dry stems have a groove carved in the glass for the screens to be placed. You can adjust it to smaller amounts but the screen won't go any further than the ledge, so larger loads won't be doable without some modding. I'm not sure if it's just mine, but the GonG doesn't have that ledge in it so the screen can be set a little lower in it if preferred. But if pushed too far down, it won't sit evenly, and heat will travel between gaps in the screen and stem.

Yeah, just got mine yesterday so still getting used to it but later on I'm gonna try a stem with the screen moved closer to the heater. I was definitely being too cautious with the trigger at first.

@sickmanfraud you can move the screen to where ever you like. The ledge worked into the stem is at 1/2" and accommodates about 0.1 g, so for smaller loads you can adjust. You may need to use a push stick to position the screen at other positions, chopsticks seem to work. I add push sticks for the gong since there is no ledge here.

Wow! Congrats on all those orders!

So what does all that represent in terms of start to completion? Maybe another 2 or 3 days? Just kidding!

For mine at #83 I'm thinking it will be just in time to celebrate 4/20....unless those pre-soldered boards and pre-cut stems have REALLY sped things up? Either way, certainly worth the wait!!

For some reason I've found now reason to move the screen any closer here. You can load as much or as little as you like to fully the tiny basket or pile through the glass walls of the joint, it all still works great with the new coil. Also it's not until 10sec holding the trigger when you'd start to risk scorching new people, check out the glow, it is hard to combust before it glows and you get great low temp vapor as soon as you press the trigger with a slow steady draw so I rarely even hold it that long. And yeah positive end up for the batteries should be maybe written on a slip of paper in each battery slot @mistvaporizer? Most important instructions needed apparently

Yeah, or if it's impractical to laser etch the polarity sign, maybe it would be possible to use some kind of "hot iron" marking tool to stamp the wood like they do with cattle (doh! sorry if the image hurts someone's sensibility...)

Ryan did similar burn marks on my production Zion. It's cheap and won't go away with time.

There are two stacks of the boards in back, those are for frames. The other pieces are for doors and inner pieces. Cost over $1,000 but there is enough for about 100 vapes! See all the squiggles in the piece at the upper right. This is crazy beautiful wood. Turns out the wood didn't cost as much as I thought, comes out to about $10/Touch which is ok. At that price I won't have to do a high end wood option, they will all be excellent. That is where I wanted to be so I'm happy about that.

I recieved my Touch yesterday. It's a Very professional looking and feeling vaporizer. My Touch is definitely a lot hotter then what I was expecting. If not careful you can combust. This seems more probable with a restricted air flow. Also I'm finding quite a small pin pointed hot spot. Along the side of the stem.
I get my best results with a very small load. One that doesn't restrict the airflow. I can get big clouds that taste wonderful.

I got mine 2 days ago and it looks (sorry Ryan) so much more professional than the Milaana. The sliding battery door was a great idea!! (@Vape Dr. )

The branding on the wood of the name is another nice touch that takes this vape from a prototype idea to a finished product.

@sickmanfraud try using less, keep the top of the herb a few mm below the lip of the stem. Pay attention to the temp of the vapor and let up on the button before you think you need to.
Also try the two screen method, uses more battery but helps prevent scorching.
