Nice! I was just gonna say I hope they're a courser mesh lol I have been noticing just that with the screens I was using in my GonG, was changing screens after only a few bowls

I got my mistvape essence a whole day early. Pretty wicked.
It's awesome. But I do need to play around with it to get it just how I like it. My single flame is a little too small, and my triple flame works for shorter pulls.
Anyway, the intake is pretty awesome, and this guy matches my other two maple vapes, though it's the newest, so it's the lightest in colour. The triple on low works, but it is a touch too hot for my liking. My next down is a single that makes very light extraction on low, and decent vapor on high. A double flame would be awesome. Yeah, it's different technique with each lighter, for sure. I got no hot spots, no real need to stir it seemed, too. Very cool. Best 20 bucks I've ever spent. The bowl is a great size. Small with capacity for more, but it's not giant. Small to small-medium I would say? It's cool. I'm all out of fresh herb today, though.

I have scorched a couple loads trying to push it to it's limits. Folks, use the tip of the flame only. 
When I did scorch, I could tell it was just the top when I dumped the bowl. A wooden vape will pick up smells more from the daily activities. I tried it direct without a bubbler this morning and it was pretty smooth on medium single flame. Nice sipper that way. I turned up the flame to high and started coughing a little, so I'll keep it hooked to the empty bubbler for the hotter extractions. Using it with a long wand is really tricky for me cause it's hard to aim the flame that way.

Received the Bare Essence today, tried it a few times; I'm not quite there yet but I really like the vibe and feel of it. Took a glance at suggestions here and I see there are adjustments to be made on my end. If someone can post a link to a YT tutorial if it exists I think that would be very helpful and appreciated.

I can't make a video. @Vitolo got that to work by loading it oddly, but it still works. I think most of us load the stem, and insert that loaded stem into the bottom and we keep the glass intake part always attached. Just point a flame horizontal near the top of the intake and you should be good. Just turn down the flame as low as you can get it without it sputtering.
@jeffp what issues are you facing? Are you getting too dark of a roast? Is it even producing vapor? Are you having trouble loading it? Are you having some success or no success? Please elaborate so we could assist.

I received it this afternoon and gave it a whirl without researching at all, but i watched Vito's video and I pretty much have it. First hit light but flavorful, second hit meaty. Similar in that regard to the MVT. Really an incredible bargain for anyone. Kind of a fully realized luxury ubie in a sense. I'll spend the next few days using it more intensively, observing the ABV, efficiency, etc., and going through the posts here for fine tuning. By the way what lighter is your preference? I'm using an Eagle torch, seems to do the job.UPDATE: just as a point of interest I"m completely baked right now, I can see the bare essence getting significant use around these parts assuming there's butane. Very easy learning curve and very satisfying and flavorful. It's great that this was made available in basic form at low cost.

Glad you got it working homie. I use it more than my other vapes cause it's so much fun to use and so fast. It really was the best bang for the buck I've ever gotten from a vape. I really want an original version with protection built in.
I settled on a single flame, and I have the flame turned up a bit. I've gotten good with the placement too, so I can get great long milky pulls through my empty bubbler.

I do wish I had protection of the glass. If I worked with wood I would try to make a cap for it, but I stabbed my thumb with a chisel the last time I played woodworker

You might want to consider the Mistavpe Essence, the glass is encased in the wooden tube. The functionality is the same as the Bare Essence. I picked up the limited edition cocobolo back in the spring. Vito only made 3 of them, quite the conversation piece.

Yeah, I plan on it eventually. I don't think Vitolo makes the vapes. The main reason I was able to buy the vape was the extremely low price. If I bought the full essence kit, I would be able to afford any medicine for about half a month

(although his video loading the bud right below the glass is a bit of a bum steer. ) Having used the bare essence pretty much exclusively through this week I think I've landed upon a really good procedure for consistent satisfying hits. Very simple - I keep the flame low and begin by allowing the blue flame to enter into the glass inlet and as I inhale and while I observe the orange flare burst inside the inlet I'll pull the flame back and from there aim at the tip and continue hitting. So it's a two step deal. This way I think I'm reducing any chance of charring while ensuring solid hits every time.

Saw this vape mentioned on another thread and am considering the $79 package. Already reasonably priced, but wondering if there was/is any further FC discounts?
My main concern is cleaning. I always hate cleaning wood in the vapor path ala StickyBrick, WoodScent wong, vapman, ect. Is the glass stem all that need to be cleaned of does the wood need to be cleaned too? Not a deal breaker but something to consider.

It's a pretty small amount of wood in the vapor path but it is there. Having used both, definitely nice having the body and caps

I use a single flame torch lighter, and I apply my flame in a 90 degree angle with the tip of the flame just touching the extended part of the intake tube. This technique has worked for me and it has produced huge clouds. Good luck.
