I was completely incoherent last night using this thing. Although, I'm not sure why. I've been using it all day today with good results...but I'm at least functional.
Aesthetics - Build quality is solid and reminds me of an elongated Solo. The 'two stacked red bull cans' analogy to describe the size is a good one. If you were to procure the PA and use the MV wired, it would be about an inch taller than my UD twig, but a little thinner. It's smaller overall than I had imagined...again, usually the case with me, photos and sizes. Pictures always throw me off on size estimates, pleasantly in this case. The package ordered through the MV website came with a small camera bag at around 8" x 6" x 4", with everything packed neatly inside. Tight fit, but there's a spot for everything, which is convenient.
Function - The first thing I did was check the battery, which was fully charged. There is a charging light on the power brick that notify's you of when the battery is done charging. Green is good to go, red is 'charging'. I then used one of the small 6" silicone tubes that came with the vape to join the MV with the 65t with good results. Temp set to green provided an extremely smooth and thick vapor through water, very pleasant. I really prefer a little punch behind my pulls, make me cough, I expect it. But the MV seems to deliver actives in a smoother fashion than I'm used to. I'm able to medicate to the same level as I normally would...but almost without knowing it. The vapor is so smooth, it feels like air.
The real reason I bought the MV is because I haven't really found a vape that can keep up with my long draws. I 'temp out' just about all other heaters through water short of the Cloud...making the Cloud the golden standard to which I compare just about everything. (Not fair in any way, I know) The good thing is the MV keeps up, no problem. As long as I'm pulling and there's vapor to be extracted, it's extracting, no lose in performance. The experience is only reduced slightly by the draw resistance created by the tip of the cone and mouthpiece and most likely for a reason. Do not be turned off by me saying there is resistance, it is minimal, although quite noticeable through water.
ABV is light in color, similar to my Cloud ABV, but more consistent throughout. It's impressive when you really look at it, no dark or green, just uniform brown throughout, no stirring.
After my initial 24 hours, I'm happy with the purchase and feel that I now have the 'best' portable for me, period. Whether the cost is worth it or not is dependent on the individual as it will differ for everyone.
The only negatives I can find so far:
The charger comes with a NA adapter that fell apart in my hands when I tried to use it. (Cheap $5 adapter) The end that plugs into the power brick is a standard size though, so I used a cable I had on hand from the outlet to the power brick. No big deal. I even fixed the adapter, so it could be used if I wanted to, but there is no need.
I can't get the unit to heat up to a solid red. It will flash red forever and then goes into standby....I believe someone else had this problem. I'll have to go back and re-read the thread again and/or reach out to Sebastian at MV. Good experiences with communication by the way, nice guy.
Conclusion: To me, it's the portable I have been looking for. Far from stealthy, it most likely stays in the hotel room or in the car, used in the living room for easy passing when we have company. Not going to replace the Cloud, but I agree with JCat and Roger on the information provided so far. Very accurate...thank you both and the rest of the community for helping me take the plunge.
But.........I'm already eyeing a second Cloud to tide me over while my first is being repaired/upgraded. Can the MV tide me over and save me the money and a little bit of shame? We shall see.
