@ataxian Thanks! :D Always a pleasure to share my thoughts on this very special device. I agree the MV is on my rotation but I use it sparingly NOT to raise my tolerance too much since it is so powerful! Usually to start and end my day.

I agree as well, not many people have tried this little gem so that explains why it isn't much more popular IMO; no empirical data!

@sixstringsmash WOW that's a nice setup right there, Mestizo teflon cap yea? ...And a Limited Edition MV too! Very classy. Those colors really pop, not the average Chinese factory color but top of the line EU!
...And is that a carbed stem I see? :cool: Impressive! :clap:

Honestly that is why I chose this particular model over other similarly priced vapes... I hate naming names, they're all good in their own respect, and this is the MV thread after all :p But even some newer models seem to add little to what this one has to offer in comparison, regarding function and accesories from what I've read, I haven't had the chance to try them all either, I wish!

So, not trying to be a fanboy or anything, but it has served me well for almost 3 years! No breakage and replacement parts are durable and cheap, also another reason to buy this one.
People always say: "well it isn't very mini!" but they don't realise it isn't only a portable, but one of the most mini of desktops :lol:

I mix up my vaporizers to not take T-BREAK's.
A T-BREAK would put in the HOSPITAL?

When I put back CANNABIS in my program I found MEDICAL BENEFIT'S beyond reason!

The MINIVAP is like using fine CHINA DISHES to dally EAT or DINE.

The MINIVAP is CIVILIZED to me personally.

I was purely RECREATIONAL before?

I need the MINIVAP MEDICALLY.

If it was only RECREATIONAL?

CANNABIS is very tasty in a MINIVAP!

MATH
MINIVAP + water + 420 + BLUEBERRY MUFFIN STRAIN = CIVILIZED CORRECTLY

IMO it is one of the finest medical grade devices! The quality and density of the vapor is pretty hard to match. You nailed it with the decanter analogy! :lol: Recreational or medical you can't go wrong either way.

It is also my "desktop away from home" unit. VERY practical to manipulate and load, as usual. For short trips and staying at relatives' it is perfect. Combines well with another portable(s) for ease of use/power and to allow battery charging at night.

I’ve bought a bunch of accessories from Hermes & I like the Minivap but I can’t use it at the moment.

Mine has developed what I can only describe as a new car smell coming from the heating chamber.

The smell & flavour is there when not in use but more noticeable when it’s heating.

It’s not very old & it’s had light but regular use & I have been packing the chamber directly.

The chamber is very clean & I have replaced both the screens & run burn offs but the smell still remains.

Has anyone struck anything like this? Can’t think of anything else I can do to fix this but I’ll take any tips or advice if you guys have some.

Both my MiniVaps develloped (in fact they smelled like that while new... at least my QGC was) that too although it doesn't seems to impact the flowers taste I smell it only when I put my nose directly above the chamber, I already mentionned that before but nobody reacted... I sent my old teflon core one time back to Hermès for a deeep cleaning and it came back with the same odor.

The MiniVap is still the tastier vape even with this issue, I can dream how the taste might be without it!

Thanks heaps for the reply, I should have searched the thread a little deeper.
Sounds like it’s normal from what you’re saying but it definitely didn’t come this way.
I don’t enjoy using it like this & it does raise some health concerns for me.
I was thinking my best option might be to look at upgrading to the glass core if that’s doable, but could I just ask you to clarify. Are you saying one of yours is a glass core & it also it has the same odour?

I would say... yes. But like mentionned previously I only taste it when the load is depleted (or when I put my nose above the heated chamber). Don't get me wrong, I 'm a huge fan of the MiniVap and I'm planning to upgrade my old teflon core to the quick teflon core although I understand your health concerns but can't give you a answer, I don't know if this smell is a sign of a harmfull offgassing.

A buddy had that but we found the cause of his. He was a chamber loader too (didn't use baskets) and he got particles/bits/crude past the chamber screen and it built up below. When cleaned, it went away.

When you had chamber screen out, did you invert/tap/lightly blow into mini's bottom :)

My miniVAPs have no such smell and have the best flavor of all my vapes

I like the MINIVAP a lot!

EFFECT = DIFFERENT however NICE

Just had CIVILIZED session GOD'S GIFT + GREEN LIGHT MINIVAP = CIVILIZED PERFECTION

I was gonna propose the same solution. The heater is below so any bits falling will lodge around the heated airpath.

It still has a place in my rotation for that same reason! It is a very surprising little fella for the way it performs with various grinds and responds to how hard you inhale. Managed to milk a whole Kingstem can with it once, stacked bubbles like CRAZY... Was completely hammered the whole evening! :rockon:

EDIT: I admit it! Still do it from time to time...:D

I like the MINIVAP because it give's a different kind of MEDICATION

Some have a PHYSIOLOGICAL reason to RECREATE! (I GET IT!)
Some Recreate and are entitles to that!
My need is MEDICAL and the MINIVAP is perfect 4 my needs!

Don't judge me!

I was just switching out the SS decarboxylation kit of my MiniVap and putting back in the old teflon loading chamber. I guess I put it in the wrong way around and now have the larger PTFE tube stuck down the bottom. Any tips for getting it out?

Just to confirm it's the small PTFE ring first then a filter disc then the PTFE tube?

Also I don't recall getting the 2mm SS ring when I ordered my decarb kit a while back, just the larger 14mm tube. Has the decarb kit always been sold as 2 pcs. or was it ever sold as one piece?
