Got my MV with updated core from Sticks and it continues the tradition of carrying the torch for the best tasting vaporizer i've ever used! Just like
@lazylathe's testing sessions...... it tastes like candy! This is my favourite strong point of this vape, although the intense amount of terpenes from a convection device like this causes me great sneezing and coughing fits from time to time..... but the positive is that I can't get that amazing taste off my smacker!
Unfortunately, as much as I love the taste, battery life, and durability of this beast, i'm pretty sure that my negatives will outweigh the positives on this one, although it could change based on me potentially doing something wrong?
Firstly, this vape is sloooooow....really slow! I didn't time it, but it felt like an eternity (maybe close to 10 mins?) waiting for the heatup to Green setting. I'm used to the digital precision of the Mighty, speeding up to any temp in less than 90 seconds. This leads me to the fixed point temp setting.....only 4 temps? The lowest can be too hot for some people (190c?) and the hottest (225 or 235) is pretty dang hot, too hot perhaps..... MV refers to it as "light combustion". I did notice combustion notes in the taste, although I was loading directly without using a basket. ABV was very, very dark brown.
Since this is a convection device, I noticed way better performance with a finer grind, however one of my biggest beefs is that i'm not getting an even vape. Is stirring required? I find when I open the cap, it's pretty messy. There is material sticking to the top screen (kinda like my Herbalizer) and the load is "pushed up" from inhaling and lots of green specs within the ABV. I feel like i've been wasting some material, because the vapour production stops, yet I have green flecks that will vape up in my Mighty.
So pretty much other than the slow speed and uneven abv, the MV is pretty amazing.... I loaded up a basket about 2/3 full with fine loose grind, and after the heatup took a long big inhale and OMG I did not expect a such a massive tasty cloud of thick vapour!
If there ever was a MV2 with a much faster heatup speed as well as a digital verson, and it wasn't so messy, I would be the first in line!
