MiniVAP Vaporizer

I know you have probably read it in this thread, but you need longer tubing (I agree we shouldn't be buying accessories for the minivap but we have no choice). I suggest buying the three pack Herbie whip on planetvape and is only $22 for 3 Herbie whips. Since it is much longer than flexi whip, it cools the heat dramatically. I have the Teflon (received in dec 2014 straight from Hermes) and I can not use mouthpiece or flexi because it Is way too hot. It seems this unit works best with water or longer tubing. Still absolutely love it ( especially that I can use my full lung capacity)

This is a complete guess, but I think there is a lot of variation in minivaps in the last few months (I think they moved hq). Some are hotter than others.

For UK users who don't have ready access to Herbie accessories, Vapefiend sells 5mm (internal) silicone tubing: http://www.vapefiend.co.uk/silicone-tubing.html

Does this tubing connect to the flexicone nipple protruding from the lid? Having never seen one, I'm not sure how well the silicone tube will hold to the flexicone.. Will it constantly pop off? I seem to remember you actually stuffed the Herbie whip through the hole in the MV lid, although that had its problems too, right?

Hey man, I bought that very same tubing! Works a treat and yeah fits onto flexi+, the tubing does seem to pick up a lot of fluff and dog hair and all but is easily cleaned with a bit of water....really does make a huge difference like mixchu69 said with cooling...

PlanetVape.ca delivers pretty quickly to the UK.. With Doritos as packaging.
Also they get around most customs charges somehow.

Edit: have my new/replacement power cable winging it's way to me.. Bonus.
Just realised, though my communication with said Vapefiend, that my warranty has reached the one year mark.. So.. Battery no longer covered.

How long is your tube*? As long as the herbie whip?

*That's what she said.

I actually use the bottom half of the mouthpiece and plug in the herbie whip (doesn't have to be herbie, but you want it longer than the flexi whip included). I chose herbie because someone mentioned it on this thread and found 3 for $22 on pv. I don't go under the lid because it takes some work to get it through and bunches up (others have made it work) but since I'm having great results now, I'm sticking with the whip attached to the bottom half of the mouthpiece out of the lid.

Do you know what the internal diameter of the herbie whip is?

A lot of people having bad experiences on here which is shit considering the price tag but i strongly recommend they hang in there if serious about vaping as this is the best unit on the market IMO.

True that. Couldn't say it better. The ride to catch the unicorn can seem to take for ever till you finally ride on it. Welcome !

All that discussion about long whips and nobody requested one from hermes ? I would love a dry solution that really is smooth, because I'm restricted to use only with glass pieces, or I don't really enjoy, too much harshness if you want fat clouds. I know they where working on cooling modules but with all that stuff they got on schedule, we better be patient.

@Roger D thanks good to be finally on here!

I suggested that Hermes needed to offer something in the form of a cooling unit as to my mind the device was on the right track but unfinished IMO unless it had something that adequately cooled the vapour.

So in terms of the high price tag there would be a reasonable expectation that the customer should receive the 'full package' - not to have to go out and research / source cooling methods owing to the lack of a Hermes solution! Which should really be included in the package I reckon.

Can't fault this new core though has been great just too hot to use as it is!

Hey Barnard-

I had similar issues, but have a technique where I draw the vapor against my tongue, which does a couple things- lets you feel when the vapor is getting too hot, and also cools the vapor a little bit before it hits your throat. I also pull really SLOW and long (until its too warm), and I can still get huge clouds on green. I never venture into red without a wt! Keep in mind I have the teflon core, so this may not be possible with glass core. I have also been using a glass straw, the glass seems to absorb more heat than the flexicone for some reason, and the vapor through the straw is delicious!

This is the way I use the TCmV dry pretty much always. Tried a bunch other ways early on but always come back to this. I'll throw it in the fridge/freezer to chill it. I use an over sized glass straw mated with some tubing that fits over the MV lid nipple.

Agree, taste is cool and delicious.

Can you provide a link to the glass straw? I Like to try new ways with the mv dry. I love the cool hit of the whip, but am I losing flavor because the length of the herbie whip is too long?

Any tube like glass piece off of any other vape.. Provided you've a way to mate it with your mV will work wonders to cool and condition. Easiest way is to use the Flexi+ that you've shortened, and just straight up attach it to the end.

I bought a 12mm (0.5") wide glass straw. Just do a search for 12mm wide glass straw and you will have plenty of choices. I found mine on eBay.

Thanks everyone for your support on the glass tubes. Since I have the ascent and 3 glass sets, I should use those. Appreciate everyone's feedback.

I have an Ascent also. I still went with the one piece wide thick glass straw, I chose 9" length, since it's better at keeping the vapor cooler for longer.

Awesome. I know I'm lazy, but can you post a link where I can purchase. I am still a newb to the vape world and don't really know what exactly I'm looking for when looking up 9". Thanks smknbud!!

Awesome. I need to pick up some gear from Etsy for my ascent, so I think I will use them. Much appreciation.

I would advise new minivap users to think about longer vape path, IF you are uncomfortable with the heat. Smknbud, Sid, and kommyknocker have great ideas, modifications or changes that I would never think of.

I use the tubing from my SSV, 1" length, to mate the straw with MV lid nipple. I do have to replace the tubing piece now and then because it gets stretched over time from usage/heat and doesn't 'grip' as well with the MV cap nipple.

@Kommyknocker meant to ask you since you have had the battery that long, and if you can tell, how much loss of battery strength, percentage wise, do you estimate has occurred over that year?
