DPD told me there’s no flat-rate tariff (??), and it’s approximately 152.5% overall.
So it’s not a flat 25 fee and is indeed the price we paid x1.5? Roughly 375 USD additional?making this about 610 USD all told?

I might have dealt some misinformation on this -- there was an outdated "Fact Sheet' (great name) that provided $25/$50 figures for May and June. An Executive Order superseded this, changing it to $100/$200 flat fees per parcel valued at or under $800 imported via USPS.

Now, apparently, it's even more than the 145% worst case scenario? Worse worst case?? This is wild haha. Can't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. I want to believe things will shake out, the universe compromises at $100 for now, and we have these things in our hands before June.

That's honestly what I'm gearing up for and expecting unfortunately. The only real hope I have of not paying a roughly 150% tariff is that by the time we have to make this decision, there has been enough backlash to unwind or reduce the tariffs. But I really don't expect that to happen, not in time anyway. The way I see it, we should prepare for the worst case scenario and then if it's not as bad as we expected, we'll just enjoy our new devices even more

25$ additional is one thing, I’m not sure I can justify an additional tariff more than the actual cost of the item itself. I’m a loyal customer, and I don’t blame @Brenyo at all, but that’s just too much money. I’m thinking that this “point of origin” stuff is going to wreak havoc on the vape industry.

It's been covered in the last couple of pages so this is my last comment related to the tariffs, but 150% is on top of the retail value for items with China as the manufacture country of origin. So the roughly $250 I paid will be subject to potentially $375 in tariffs ON TOP of the $250.

$625 all in. Not ideal by any means but not altogether a deal breaker, mainly because I've worked hard to get to a high paying role the last couple of years and it's not painful at all like it would have been in the past. Still, hopefully just waiting it out a bit allows things to settle and this becomes a non-issue.

I totally understand where you're coming from. Even though I can spare the money, it's a bitter pill to swallow.

That's essentially where I'm at. My job isn't crazy high pay but I save money so I can afford to do things like this on a whim if it's what I decide I want to do. I really don't want to pay that high of a tariff but I will if I need to

The EU store situation is a bit unclear and depends on customs, I expect shipping to start around the middle of the month.
What does this mean exactly? Don’t get me wrong —I feel bad for the Americans who voted for Kamala (not so much for the rest, to be honest; they did it to themselves after being warned a thousand times). But MadHeaters is a European company, and as an EU customer I really hope whatever’s going on in the US has no bearing on EU or other international customers.

So, I hope we can get back on the hype train and talk about the Tempest V2.
I’m guessing the lack of pictures or videos is why people drift into other topics.

Anyway, I’m super hyped, and it’s getting harder to go another day without the Tempest V2!!

Every thing I buy in a month just went UP!
Not sure i will be able to swallow the tariff from the Orange Clown.
Will the parts(V2 head) be tariff free down the road when ordered from UK?
Looking forward to some V2 porn.
Cheers

I think even with lots of pictures and videos, we'd still be talking about the tariffs. I assume there's a lot of American customers and 145% markup is INSANE!!! Never been a victim to any sort of robbery like that in my life before.

Although I have a hopeful feeling it won't last, given enough backlash. So maybe, with enough unification and luck, they'll start to reverse that % back down to Earth within the next few weeks/months. And if that's the case, maybe it would be possible for Mad Heaters to hold our shipments for a bit to see where things are going, instead of cancelling orders or shipping during the peak of the tariffs, assuming it's still up in the triple digits, when they ship out. Just my 2 cents.

Seems an unreasonably large ask of a single person operation. Have not decided on whether to dispose of of my V1 post V2 arrival, but do the tariffs apply to personal shipments; i.e. a personal sale from CA->US, although I'm not really wanting to deal with international post to the US right now.

My wife just asked why I was repeating Oh my God! OH MY GOD! over and over

Thank you Brenyo 😘
Me too. Been a really rough week, finished work early today, so I was sitting quietly contemplating everything that's gone on with a coffee and my tempest.
Then got an email notification, thinking it was work related I ignored it 😂
Saw it 20 mins later, amazing! It's on route!
My new script was shipped out today as well, so that should be here tomorrow.

Thanks @Brenyo canny wait!

I'm UK - order number is P97xx if that helps

This is reminds me of the V1 launch where we were all comparing order numbers to work out shipment dates 😊
Thought so—UK orders always go out first. I hope the rest of the EU and the world follow soon.

Now, I trust you know your duty as one of the first to receive this bad boy: give us hungry rascals plenty of impressions, pictures, and videos to keep us from going crazy!! :D
