Not sure if i am alone here, But i can't take a review seriously from someone that can't figure out a Mflb, They clearly are not a very heavy ll vape user. I wan't to hear a review from someone on here that has many years of daily experience.

It does look like the Evoke may have to undergo quite a bit of changes before it's out, But i'm just basing this on the very little feedback i have heard.

This was also a 3D printed prototype which could explain the taste and finicky button. As for the yelling, maybe Neeraj is hard of hearing. You never know what disability someone might have. I know many people in the construction biz and a large portion have hearing loss.

Her sense of humor was definitely a bit off for me as well, maybe her target audience finds her entertaining. To me she was a combustor that does dab pens on a regular basis, that decided to experiment with vaping herb in a variety of ways (mostly shitty). She may be vaping-ignorant but she represents a demographic that tweets and (hopefully) buys this kind stuff! Lol at pointing out Neeraj's teal-colored laptop.

was thinking same...especially after oil being mentioned too...hard not to get high when using extracts so something definitely is not on point yet or so it seems...

One thing that does bug me about this is the $$$ Neeraj spent on personally flying to show this prototype to this "reviewer". Seems an extravagant waste of $$$ especially when it appears additional funds are actively being sought in order to finish the project.

No wonder Neeraj never followed through with having me test it out, I'm pretty brutally honest about what i think about vapes ;) It wouldn't have taken a flight either, I'm all but 3 blocks away from his home.

But in all honesty, i cant see the first few prototypes being great performers, especially with their induction setup. Back in TET days we would go though hundreds of core prototypes before settling on one. With enough money and time they can figure out how to get it to work well enough for 90% of people.

I still don't get the draw to this induction setup. It appears to only be a different way to get the current to the element. In this case the element is in direct contact with the herbs, making for a super high tech conduction vape. Am I missing something here?

I am not really seeing any advantage with dry herb either without trying it, however with concentrates maybe using induction will make the chamber easier to clean and less messy?

It is just another way to use conduction, But yeah i'm thinking because it's easily cleaned you will have the wax advantage.

Wouldnt the pin in the alfa's chamber make that induction as well? Whatta bout the wispr and iolite? Guess time and taste will eventually tell. :)

No the heater is directly heating the pin in those. The Evoke heater has no direct contact with the pin, But yeah only time will tell if there's an advantage to this.

I did notice pre sales opened back up, They only have cores and single core units up tho no batteries or chargers.

Still waiting to hear some updates on that mouth piece tho.. been a good month now? According to them, this was what pushed the Evoke back to a September release, but I think the general consensus is the vape isn't functioning properly in general, and they need more money?

I know this is a printed prototype, but after hearing those rumors about poor performance at the Cannabis Cup, along with Amanda's BuzzFeed review (even if it was a shitty review at best), it's gonna be a long ass time before we ever see this vape. Which is sad, since it sounds like they used a nice portion of their Indiegogo money making the tech "as best as possible", and in the end Amanda couldn't even get the vape on, Neeraj had to hold the button for her.

I wonder what their excuse will be for the upcoming delay in September.

Unless it's an error on their site it does say a battery charger and battery will be included with presales. Not sure how to post pictures, I feel stupid, anyway I took a screen shot of it.

Idk if this has been brought up before (or if it even means anything), but in February, their VP of Engineering/Tech, James Lin, either left, or was removed. Wasn't he one of the founding members?

Why would someone leave something that could potentially make them a lot of money down the line (unless James saw things weren't going well)? I'm not sure if he actually worked on the Evoke, but I wonder if his absence has any effect on what's going on.

On his website, he says this about his departure:
Lin said:
"We successfully raised over $225,000, over 300% more than our asking of $70,000. We also received private investor funding amount for an additional $250,000. With my goal of a successful crowdfunding campaign complete, my heart wasn't as into it as vaporizers and that industry isn't something I'm passionate about, so I stepped away with the company in great shape"

They received another 250k from a private investor (and still don't have enough money to make it!).. lol. I just don't get why someone would step away from something they helped create and had potential, unless something wasn't right.

Well that didn't work right, posting pictures is a lot of work to complete. Anyway if you go to the preorder screen on their site and go through it, it's currently only a reservation to preorder it and it does say that a battery and charger are included but they did say themselves only backers would get a battery/charger so I don't know what's going on.

From what he said it sound's like he just don't wan't to be involved with herbal vaporizers, After you factor in what's been going on as of late it makes sense.

There is clearly something negative going on, We got indigogo making false accusations of drug paraphernalia. eBay is probably doing the same thing because vaporizers are going bye bye there too. I think a shit storms brewing if you ask me things are pointing towards it.

I think that's just sad when theres literally thousands of 50 state legal combinations of herbs, tinctures and waxes. I know because i use them. I vape asthma tinctures wherever i go, And if anyone says anything i tell them it's my medication.

Have you had good results with Lobelia or Khella, or do you prefer a special formulation?

I don't think i have used either in any homemade tinctures, But i may give them a try. I use a Mbm for mine, So if i mess up a batch it's only wasting 4-8 hours of my time.

The Evoke may be good for this since it can be %100 cleaned. I can you from experience there is no using the same juice coil for nic juice after homemade tinctures.

Would be just swell if we could get an update on dat mouf piece problem, rather than insights on the ever-expanding vaporizer market..

I noticed the cores are still gone you can only order single core vape unit packages, Are they going to bring the cores alone back for sale? I kind of want to wait and see if i think it's worth getting the other cores, But if the core package is going to be over $100 after release i will probably it get before.

I wouldn't give LotoLabs another dollar tbh. They can't be assed to update us regularly about problems with the Evoke, and who knows how well it'll work when it gets to market. If it gets to market.

This campaign was honestly covered in red flags. If only I had found this thread on FC before placing my order. I was initially really hyped for this vaporizer, I lost faith a while back. It'd be cool if they were actually transparent and discussed what was wrong with the Evoke, and what they're working towards fixing. Instead Neeraj is focused on begging people to review his faulty prototype.
