Least lung-irritating vaporizer

Hey guys, so I'm sure the question, "what is the best vape" is asked all the time here, but I have a slightly different twist on it. I have a lung condition called blebs. They are fluid filled sacs, almost like blisters, on the tops of my lungs from growing too quickly and my lungs not developing properly. They are similar to the resulting dead spots of emphysema, but they don't grow and more don't show up. I didn't know about it until my senior year of high school when my right lung spontaneously collapsed and I spent 3 weeks in the hospital. For a long time I quit smoking everything, but I started smoking the good stuff again about a year ago. Well, I still have one bleb on my left lung and it worries me to keep smoking, so I thought I would switch to a vaporizer. I was wondering from the people that have extensive experience with various vapes:

Which vapes seem to irritate your lungs the least? I assume vapes with bags let the vapor cool down more before inhaling. Is that about accurate? Do certain vapes seem to hit smoother and have less expansion in your lungs or does that depend more on the heat setting? I'm really just looking for the vape that has the least residual heat by the time it gets to your lungs and thus the least expansion in your lungs.

Thanks for the help!

there was one other thread kind of confirming what im about to say, but thats alright the more confirmation the better!

The log vapes, more specifically the Rockzap is a very smooth vaporizer and has a very very clean path that does not give off a weird or bad taste and is not irritating, even to the purists.

pair this with a small, easy going glass water pipe and it will be very smooth, filtering particles out with water will always a good way to enhance the vapor, so to speak, however a water pipe is NOT a replacement for a good clean vaporizer.

Bags are not necessarily smoother, just because the vapor is thin and diluted. theres usually a lot of plastic in the path with most bag units.

Expansion would depend more on the strain that you are vaporizing. Some strains will also vape better then others, and some may vape smoother. Strain has a lot to do with it.

I find that the LSV is always easy on my lungs... I filter it through water with some ice cubes in my bong. This allows for very smooth and flavorful tokes.

Direct draw I find irritates the most, but after a while of vaping and inhaling the warm air. I don't bag often these days, but the Volcano doesn't irritate my lungs much at all.

Interesting, i find the lsv gives me a more irritating expansion... then my rockzap through water, anyway

My DBV was 10 times more irritating than my UD !. The hakko was even more irritating than the DBV :).
Log vape trough water is the best thing happened to my lungs since i started vaporizing, it was even more gentle than a all glass gong vape like the MW ..

I would say the least irritating vape I have used is the MFLB.

When I say irritating, I am purely basing it on how much I cough after a hit.

Of the 2 bag vapes I have tried (volcano and extreme q), both were almost as irritating as my ssv without water filtration, the cano hit my lungs harder than the EQ IMO.

The SSV and LSV are both pretty similar to the cano and EQ As well IMO.

The solo is probably the most irritating vape I own, even though both of mine have none of the smell issues talked about in the solo thread.
As much as I love my solo, I wouldn't reccomend it if you are looking for something light on the lungs.

Of the vapes i have experience with, That basically leaves the MFLB and the RockZap.

The zap gives bigger clouds, and is quite mild on the lungs even without water filtration, but I would still say the MFLB is easier on the lungs.

If heat is your main issue, you could also look into a 7th floor vapor tamer.
I have 2 of the old style vapor tamers, and I get about 10-15 minutes (per tamer) of vapor that feels like I'm sucking in air That's coming out of a fridge.

It can be used with (I assume) almost any whip vape, and can be rigged up to others as well.

I've had a very different experience with the LB to Frederick. Mines a real throat tickler.

The Aromed is by far the most gentle vape I've used. But I think it would perhaps be too gentle to hit a smokers spot.

Freakin' true, MFLB can be very irritating to the mouth and throat without filtering. Way more than my herborizer in fact, despite the difference in how much vapor it delivers.

Hmmm, interesting.
Maybe I am more sensitive to something in the vapor itself, as opposed to the heat of the vapor?
Even using a 7th floor vapor tamer, it will be nice and cold/smooth on the inhale, but I will still cough my lungs up if the hit is too big...

Depends on the material you are using. You would be amazed how the right batch of herb will vape so well and smooth!

Very true, SD. Flushing is not the only thing but makes a big difference indeed.

really i think any variable temp or lower/medium set-temp vape through water would be ideal. while my zap through a bong is smooth as hell, the first hits can be pretty thick. i personally dont experience any irritation in the lungs from using any vape through water, especially diffused, but i could see using a variable temp vaporizer and starting real low and slowly temp-ramping possibly being better to someone with lung problems perhaps. That way instead of a few thick hits, which may or may not irritate your lungs, and a couple thinner ones (what you get when you dive right in with a mediumish vaporization temp) you would get a larger amount of more moderatly and consistently sized hits.

if all else fails, theres always edibles! but im sure if youre tolerating smoking at all currently that vaping, especially through water, will be enough of a change.

Great Scott!
Log vape with an AQUA VAPE!

I can't imagine smoother unless you add a huge bong.

A bigger bong can actually make it harsher since you need to clear it longer and may or may not get bigger hits, you also loose a lot of flavor, its good at cooling, but cooling is not as needed as moisturizing is. so even a smaller water filter/perc will make the vapor less dry and less irritating.

I would try the aromazap vaporizers or purple days log vapes.

Also, I have to ask, do you ever SMOKE tobacco, or even cannabis? Or do you STRICTLY VAPORIZE?

I ask this, because
if you only vaporize, and don't smoke, you should be able to clean your lungs out to the point where you never cough or anything. I can take incredibly huge hits and hold them in tight and NEVER cough, and this has been for vaporizing straight for a year, my lungs feel cleaner and clearer than ever.
