What dish setup are you using? When I select the Liger coil, my unit seems to go from coil tracking to an attempt at dish temp tracking (only thing I could come up with to explain why the temp changes, and to such a low temp) I have my Liger and sapphire set anywhere from 360-380 but I guarantee thats not the coil....nor the likely actual dish temp at all (gauging this on how the material melts and dabs) I emailed Aug when this change went into place with the first big sw update but never got a reply. I also experience the 1 little "glitch" Ive found in the Kubes use, sometimes if say you set it to 370, the unit will show 370 but later when you go back to it, it will be set at 367, set it to 380, later you'll get 374......the numbers it ends up with do not seem to vary so Im wondering if for some reason the Kube wants to heat things in temp ranges as opposed to a rock solid temp.

I have 30mm sapphire and obsidian. I shouldn't have said "way off", more just that the temps were different/lower than I previously had it set before the update.

I first noticed bc I always have the "color" display set to "temperature". When it's super hot (like cleaning mode it's yellow/orange, and when off/cold it's blue.) I'm right at about 390 right now on the obsidian and 375 on the sapphire and all is good!

Still waiting on my unit. August said he expected to ship it Wednesday but I havent seen any tracking info. Hopefully it shows tomorrow. Hating life without a good controller.
 
What dish setup are you using?
Using the Augusthaus coil and shroud with the Liger profile selected, my actual dish temps run about 30 degrees hotter than set temp.

When I'm not doing up-temp dabs, I keep it set around 420 which gets me my THCa and keeps the dab surface just shy of combustion.

I updated my android from O to P the other day when Android released the newest OS Android Pie. I was worried that my Augusthaus app wouldnt work with the new OS but it worked with no issue.

Nice to see this happen as the only phone available to be upgraded to Pie is the Pixel phones and the Essential phone.

BTW, Android 9 Pie is pretty neat. Its all about AI and remembering what you like and want to do with your phone.

Got my KubeOne a few days ago. Its pretty awesome. Needed tech support at 10:00, sent August an email and got a response back pretty quickly. I know he just hired a customer support guy as well.

Couple of notes to maybe help people that are dumb like me.

The QR code you have to scan to register the unit is in the email instruction PDF he sends you.

If you have an iPhone, you have to have the Mail app installed to register (and use) your unit. I didnt and that took me a while to figure out.

This unit is a super nice. Construction is great, the app is pretty slick and the nail with inserts and cap are very good quality.

Im glad I jumped on board this train. I asked August about a preset for the Flowerpot and he said he hadnt had much request for that so any Kube guys, hit hiim up and maybe he'll add it for us.

I personally think his AugustHaus customer suck ass myself. On par with CCA. Never replied to my emails. I have to use 3 emails address and the website to get him to reply to me. All I wanted is to buy two coils from him without quartz.

And this isn't new, he did this exact thing when i bought the classic too. I wanted to know if the pixel would be compatible after I bought it and never got a reply too. I would avoid kubeone and it's shady service.

This maxvapor looks promising tho.

I want to live ah but the service speak louder the the device as we are dependant on him to keep the app running.

I can see an issue with the box in The future and taking months to get it fixed and returned. This is the shit that scares me now even after owning it.

August haus customer service is pretty excellent from my experience. I had a hexnail hn01 bought a while ago and the had it in for repair for months .. Come to find out few days ago they are in deep shit and it's gone forever.. VS Augusthaus whom took care of my issue promptly even when the issue may have been the power source on my end rather then the unit itself.

I've had nothing but excellent service from August and I feel pretty confident recommending him. He did miss my delivery date pretty bad but he was up front about it and upgraded my nail and coil for free due to the wait.

I do wish I had more control over the unit but it's pretty robust and the app works great. It's all Bluetooth driven so you can always get a cheap older iPad and use it as your controller. That's probably what I'll eventually do.

Maxvapor may end up being the new king but the display on the unit is so small that was a turn off for me. The Kube is small and very well made. I'm super happy with it so far.

He has hired an employee so thats a good sign that he is growing.

If he really has around 600 units out there and has been assembling them all himself, thats pretty impressive.

I know he scaled up production to handle the large influx of orders he has gotten. I assume he oursourced the boards and maybe even the board assembly. Again, thats a substantial investment if he wasnt planning on being around a while.

Stupid question but did you call him? His number is on the website and Ive called him twice. Once he answered, the second time I left a message and he called back within 10 minutes. Being a one man show is hard but this unit is definitely a labor of love for him and he has immense pride in it. I dont see him going anywhere anytime soon.

Cant go wrong with Augusthaus. I hope he embraces the madness and really starts getting crazy with it. He definitely has the platform to do it.

Yes i did try to call. I called once in the afternoon to learn he is on the east coast and was 5PM there. Next day, called at like 11AM my time which is 2PM there and got no one. The next day i sent emails using three different emails accounts, sent on his website contact info and on IG then gave up hope. a week or more later, Sonny replies and answers my questions from May 2018. Like really??? its fucking August 2018. what annoyed me is that i have buddies send him emails and he replies same day. that is what pisses me off!!

I guess he really doesnt want my green bucks!

He already had Sonny reply to me but I have moved on by then and will wait for @710Coils to get his axial. I am sure he knows me as shooby, i used to watch his live streams all the time.

Like i said, i wanted to be a fan boy but wasnt allow to join the club even with donations spent towards a Classic. Wanted to get a clear kube as well but that thought went out the window.

I still use the kube but dont think its special in any way. it does look cool tho and like the lights. it has that factor for it. But at this point, im over it. Rather spend my money buying shit from CCA and Josh that i dont use.

Considering all the items he sells are out of stock and you need to wait for them to be manufactured, the poor response time doesn't leave me with much confidence for placing an order.

Also it's just a basic enail in a fancy enclosure with an axial coil from china, and an app that they provide 0 screenshots or demos... not really seeing where the high prices are coming from

Agreed. I still prefer my mininail over the kube due to straight function and power. I'm at least 100f lower on the mininail than on the kubeone . Plus the connection issues become a bitch when you just want to change temps.

Have to reboot app. That didn't work. Reboot kubeone, that didn't work. Reboot phone. Finally works. Just fucking annoying.

But looks cool. It could use some hot glue tho as shit rattles inside when I move it. Maybe August should get in touch with hex about their hot glue tech.

So far Ive had none of the issues you describe and my Kube doesnt rattle.

App is responsive and seems to work fine. The only oddness Ive had with it is trying to manipulate the lights.

Are you using Android or IOS?

I expect August or Sonny to show up in this thread sooner than later but anyone who has had communication issues with AH, please reach out to
sonny@theaugusthaus.com. He has assured me he will make sure each and every email gets answered.

I'm using pure Android. Maybe the kubeone sucks on pixel phones or pure Androids.

I've never had any issues controlling my lights. But I have not been able to use the up or down arrows to adjust my temps. That never worked since day one. I have to type the temp or use the scroll. Very annoying. This is on both my pixel 1 and pixel 2 xl phones.

App is responsive when connected.

Does waiting a lot time to get what you paid for = good service? The only time I hear people mention the service is while they're waiting for something..

I'm still waiting for an answer to a simple question from June 3rd emailed to August.. That's after bringing it up in this thread weeks ago and some friends of his said they would tell him to look into it..

Throughout the custom KubeOne experience August has done a great job in communicating, timeliness, and being up front on possible delays.

He went above and beyond in my eyes.

My KubeOne landed on Tuesday and got to use it the last two days. The unit responds to the app changes in real time. The lights besides being pretty offers a lot of info. When in Glob mode the lights are orange. When coming up to temp the spectrum of colors are used to represent temp. Normal pattern when it reaches temp.

Love the auto timer shut down feature. And you can keep using it without the app if the last settings worked for you.

Glob mode works awesome.

And the temp monitoring graph is updated automatically. No refreshing screens needed.

Things I wish was there in the app:

-way to add your own equipment profiles
-tune / make adjustments to those equipment profiles
-Glob mode button shouldn’t ask me to choose a Glob profile every time. Should be able to pick a default.
-lose the shopping cart site but add or keep the forum in the app. And instructions pages.
-skin the app or open source the skinning as the UI feels graphically very utlarian.

So far love the KubeOne performance and user experience. Super happy I jumped ship from hex when I did. August has a solid product, well thought out tech, great craftsmanship, and good customer service. App could use the items I noted above but the lack of those app items don’t take away from the function.

Just turned on the KubeOne while typing this post out sitting on the toilet.Got to love technology and the conveniences it brings.

My question was regarding the rig which can be included for $40. From the photos it looks to be the $80 beaker rig which is also for sale but I wanted to confirm that before ordering. In my experience guessing what is included based on photos is a bad idea, so I was hoping for additional confirmation on what I am paying for beyond "a rig".

I also asked about shipping to Canada and if they were aware of any potential duty charges for other customers. This is a common inquiry that many other companies such as NewVape, Dabpress, and D-Nail were all willing to entertain.

To clarify, someone else here providing me with the answers to these questions would not ease my concerns. If a simple sales related question is ignored for months, I don't want to risk dealing with August in the event of order delays, or trouble configuring the app.

Normally I would just move and wouldn't bother to post this, but I found it really odd that I kept reading about amazing customer service from some people while others seem to get the silent treatment.
