The issue is with the Pixel. Some Pixels have bluetooth problems and August can't force the Kube to communicate with a rock. If your phone connects and communicates with other bluetooth devices, you should be fine.

We may be closer to that vision. . .I sent August an email on the issue and he replied back within five minutes. I don't think he was aware that Amazon doesn't allow access on their devices to the Google Play Store where the android version of his app is located. He said he was going to look into it.

So August got back to me today and stated there was two issues with the Google Pixel phones and the App. One he did some adjustments to correct the issue. As for the other issue, he is still working on the app to fix the problem. He also stated there are over 10 Pixel users with no problems after surveying some users he said.
So i guess i will know some time next week. He hopes to ship it out tomorrow. Dam.. This is gonna take a month to get after ordering.

Not bad. I am still trying to figure things out and why it may do somethings. At times, the heat is off when im unlocking my phone and the app is already open on my screen. I havent pinned down exactly what it is. Kinda way too stoned. I am sure after repeated use and time, i will have some questions for Mr. Lilley.
I have finally found a sweet spot using the Classic + Halen + 20mm Sapphire at 630F. That gets the sapphire insert inside around 440-465F. Why the wide range?, depends on if the insert is touching the wall or not. Since there is about 4-5mm of tolerance, its much hotter by the walls. I ordered a opaque insert that should fit this 25mm HB really nice as im trying to wait for the REM adapters to come in. I want an insert that fits better!

When you say the heat is off, do you mean the unit itself has the coil off or the units coil is on and the app just shows its off? This is "normal" IME, the app stops talking to the unit at some point even if its open and you just need to push the BT button again once and it will instantly reconnect overtime (mine does on iOS at least). Which equipment setting are you using?

What do you mean about equipment setting? Im using it on Android which i heard from August on a live stream that Android is a stripped down version of IOS. Android has no profiles i guess. I have no clue as i never seen it.
Lately, i havent even been using the app. I just turn the box on and push the button. I do like the unit. I enjoy the lights but i think i need and ISO to fully enjoy this app. I dont own anything Apple. Also, I think this app kills my phone! I may have to get like a used iPad Mini to use this dam app.
Also, August's new 30mm bangers that have the pin to hold the coil on like the pic below are overseas made he said. If you get the 30mm, it also comes with a bubble cap as his directional cap doesnt seal the XXL, 30mm banger. All his glass are from overseas but the Casa glass and jred.

How does this unit work with other nails? Are there any tunings for them or plans to incorporate them? Im especially interested in the Flowerpot. Not a banger kind of guy but I wouldnt mind having one to play with.

Thats gonna take for ever. Especially since Android P is around the corner. August said its hard to update Androids as he has to do each OEM. Samsung, LG, Google, HTC, Moto and the dozens of more android OEMs. He said he will get it done but isnt sure when. I downloaded the app on a iPhone 6 im using for work and there are more options for the glob mode and even allows you to create your own profiles. Makes me want to get a Ipad Mini for this. But not really as I am not a fan of Apple.
I havent tried using the Kubeone with the Flowerpot. Havent used the Flowerpot much in general lately but i dont see why it wouldnt be bad ass for the flowerpot.

Good for him.. He has a good product that is unique to him only. I almost want to get another one. Maybe a clear just to have as i want to get his 26mm coil as well. I might just have too.
Android (UPDATED) vs IOS
I only saw one difference which is on the third page that shows the graph and has the glob profiles. On IOS, there is a return button that resets the graph next to the glob button. Android, its not there. Thats about the only difference i saw using it for an hour. I was able to create glob profiles like i was on IOS. Previously on android, i was not.
With Android P around the corner, its interesting to see if the app works on my phone once Google releases it in a couple of months. I can now put away this extra iPhone 6.
Now i do have a question, is anyone using a wemo or any wifi plug with their KubeOne? I only ask because every time i flip the switch in the back, i have to hit the button and using google voice to turn it on but doesnt heat up my coils is near pointless. Unless im trying to host a dance party with the LED lights. If i turn off the button on the app, which i just saw earlier, will that allow me to flip the switch on the back of the kubeone and it starts to heat up without pressing that buttom?

I have mine hooked up for Google and Alexa. You still need to energize the coil separately either through the app button or the physical plunger button on the back of the Kubeone.

hmm so had a week to mess around. One big thing I noticed is that when I selected the custom Liger coil, the temperature settings were way off. I basically had to drop 100 degrees to get how I used to have it.
taste differences with the glob settings are minimal for me. I think I need to mess around some more though. Any one who has had some good custom settings they wanna share? Thanks!

What dish setup are you using? When I select the Liger coil, my unit seems to go from coil tracking to an attempt at dish temp tracking (only thing I could come up with to explain why the temp changes, and to such a low temp) I have my Liger and sapphire set anywhere from 360-380 but I guarantee thats not the coil....nor the likely actual dish temp at all (gauging this on how the material melts and dabs) I emailed Aug when this change went into place with the first big sw update but never got a reply. I also experience the 1 little "glitch" Ive found in the Kubes use, sometimes if say you set it to 370, the unit will show 370 but later when you go back to it, it will be set at 367, set it to 380, later you'll get 374......the numbers it ends up with do not seem to vary so Im wondering if for some reason the Kube wants to heat things in temp ranges as opposed to a rock solid temp.
