Not that bad. Less than a closed loop system and vac oven anyway. Not something I'm gunna run out and buy, but if it really works to make DIY solventless extracts that people actually enjoy, I can see splitting one.
But I know nothing about what is involved. I'd have to see it in action and the hash it makes.
effectively the boiling flask in the waterbath spins. keeping the material inside constantly churning and prevents hot points. this entire apparatus is then vacuum pressurized to lower the boiling points of the actives. you can effectively use this apparatus to remove water vapor from fresh material... selectively boil off actives and if you desired those could be fractioned off or conjoined in a high potency extract...
utilizing nothing more than heat... and pressure.
