Just found these neat things...
Nondescript plastic jar lined with glass
"JyARz feature two air-tight seals, one on the glass insert and another seal on the outer shell."

Dunno if I'd plop the $13 for one though
jyarz.com

What I would think it'd be great for is for filling with pre-ground herb. Seems just narrow enough where you can gently tap out the herb and have it fall directly in your vaporizer's bowl/loading area.

^^^ The black ones will even keep the light out.

Nice find.

Here is how the glass jars seal. And these jars are sold separate for only $3.

Do you think these glass inserts will be perfectly airtight and smell-proof by themselves?

I have a black jyarz, had it for about a week and really love it..Just order the blue one to place my ground up herb for easier dumping :) I also got a clear glass insert so I can fill that with iso and clean my screens and such..MY tightvac is an afterthought.I plan on giving it to a friend and buying the white jyarz next.just want to make sure i have enough storage. Each containerwill hold 3 grams, but those big nugs are space killers...A Jyarz container is a little pricey but welcome accessory for the vaporist..I liken them to the old containers used for rolls of film. ver

Anyone own a "white" jyars container, that could comment on how lightproof it is? In other words can you see the silhouette of the bud?
I ordered the blue container but I'm kinda dissapointed because its not blue its more a teal ..Its just a weird color..more green than blue. Not what I was expecting

No, empty you can hold the white one up to light and see the logo on the glass insert. This doesn't bother me too much as I am not worried about light degradation for the few days at the most herbs are in there.

As far as the blue I asked one of the jyarz reps if there were going to make a darker blue and they said that was the best blue they could get at this time. It has something to due with how the dye reacts to the recycled milk jug plastic.

Im not concerned about the light degradation.Just dont want people to know its not empty just by looking at it. Ive found the jyarz work great and kept my bud moist as the day I got it 2weeks later..
Thanks for the response @slightlyvaped, interesting stuff .I guess Im just stuck with the little mermaid blue..

Yeah you will definitely know there are nugs in there if you set it on a table in any decently lit room.

lol agree it's not the best blue imo...

I love my jyarz! This thing is so well made its awesome. I wish they made it a tiny bit bigger (for 3.5g since its a tight fit). Maybe ill email them to see if they have anything upcoming. Regardless if you think the current size will work for you then I highly recommend it. I went out bought a gerber baby jar, eat the baby food, cleaned it really well (smell), and then when I put my flowers in it I noticed that it wouldnt make a tight seal and would just keep spinning. Ordered the jyarz and problem solved. The container is great, something you have to see in your hand to appreciate.

So far I have:
Arizer Solo
Santa Cruz Shredder
and now Jyarz!!!!

Seems like im obtaining a nice collection of high quality products (the first time rather than trial and error thanks to this forum).

Thank you we appreciate the glowing review. I'm so pleased your JyAR did the trick for you. And yes we will come out with larger sizes. We are working on a much larger size right now. No ETA yet on delivery time frame.

Thanks Again.

I just bought two Jyarz on Tuesday. They should be in my mailbox by tomorrow. Now I can finally give up my old film containers!
Your going to love it.... It's almost the size of a film canister just slightly bigger. I bought the black and first thing I thought of is its like a higher quality film canister

I second that emotion. I love my 2 little containers, even that "off" blue.@JyARz Are you thinking about coming out with any additional colors? And is it possible to buy just the plastic shell? Also I know the silicone that lines the top and bottom of the container is replaceable. How often should it be replaced?

First, thank you!

We just launched Pink and Purple is coming!!

We don't sell the plastic by it self...I'm all about the glass core. I believe glass is the ideal substance for storage. But what do I know...you could always throw out the glass ;-)

And you don't have to replace the gaskets...only if they are worn out.

Does that answer your question?

Appreciate your business and support.

OH and just for the record, the gaskets in the cap and body are natural latex rubber (FDA food safe).

Though we are thinking shifting to silicone as an option.

Thanks jyarz man...didnt mean to mislead anyone about the materials used..I'd never want to throw away the glass. I enjoy watching it slide into place too much... Neat stuff. I do think a red, yellow, green should be considered(rasta).Just thinking out loud.

Exactly! For organic material you can either just drop it in or pre-grind for greater volume/capacity. As for pouring out, you can simply slide the glass core out a little and then dispense. Very easy.

Actually that lid is sold with individual glass cores. When you put the glass core inside the JyAR's body/cap the "main" seal is created where the glass comes in contact with a natural latex rubber gasket in the cap. There's another latex rubber gasket that the glass core rests on - both gaskets provide shock absorption in case of a sudden fall or shock. JyARz are also light and air tight.

Do you think these glass inserts will be perfectly airtight and smell-proof by themselves?
Yes, they are. But note that the glass is pretty thin, so I'd recommend getting the "housing" as well for greater shock protection and light blocking.

Anyone own a "white" jyars container, that could comment on how lightproof it is? In other words can you see the silhouette of the bud?

White is not light proof! Your options are Blue, Black or Pink (purple coming soon) if you want to block light!

plastic, and yes I have noticed that after a week or so my herb dried out slightly.O2 seeps in glass mason jars too, Which is why alot of folks here plan on purchasing the humidipacks that are sold with the c vaults.Of course I dont keep that much herb on me. no more than a week or2 So I tight vac is a good option for me versus a mason jar/c vault

I assure you, you will not have any "air loss" with a JyAR. Customers have lost them for over a month and then opened them up to find fresh, fresh product inside. I guarantee it.

Well my two Jyarz were in the mailbox when I got home from work and I have to say these containers are great. My film canisters are already in the trash! Shipping was very fast. I ordered on Tuesday and got them on Thursday.
I would love to have one the size of a small or medium Cvault.

I would love to have one and was at the checkout but $10 shipping to toronto, bringing the total to $22 and change is too rich for my blood.
