I just got a tightvac vitavac from puffitup, and I haven't used it yet, but for those of you that have had both, which one is better for complete smell/odor lock down?

The tightvac honestly doesn't seem like it's on part with a Jyarz from what I can tell, but my experience is super lacking.

You can smell the weed though the button at the top as well. But like the past few posters have already said, it's not really much of a comparison the Vitavac is just crappy plastic.

Anyone else put a glow-in-the-dark sticker on the foam at the bottom of the jyar so it glows through the bottom of the glass? :ninja:
Might be nice if jyarz came stock with a glow-in-the-dark sticker or just cardboard disc there, maybe with the jyarz logo printed on it? :cool:

I like the glass being movable, if you take your finger to move the glass in and out of the plastic, it helps to coax smaller amounts out of the Jyarz, without dumping a load. It's one of the things that you can look at as a hindrance or an asset. I'm going with asset.:nod:

I did not like that sliding either. I put some blue masking tape around the top of the glass area. Fits just tight enough to stay in....but not tight enough to be hard to take out.

In my experience, most glow in the dark stickers need to be periodically exposed to light to "recharge" them. It doesn't seem like that would happen in this context.

Me too. I normally slide the glass out so I can see what I'm grabbing. I wouldn't want it to be more securely held in the plastic.

Me too. I normally slide the glass out so I can see what I'm grabbing. I wouldn't want it to be more securely held in the plastic.

Which is why I label what is in the inside....on the outside. I use a small glass or ceramic tray to put my grinds on and then load.

So if you like to have the glass slide out so you can extract the right size bud or loose stuff....I can see why you would like it to come out easily.

I understand your perspective, but I recommend you try it. Even a simple piece of white paper has an interesting effect, imho. I've mainly used a glow-in-the-dark piece on a satchmo--maybe it wouldn't be as useful on a Classic or Chico. "Recharging" isn't really a hassle, imo. Personally, I use this super-charged glow-in-the-dark paint, which does help:

Thanks for that idea @placetime I have put a white paper with some art of aluminium tape on it in the bottom of my classic and it is now much more easier to see for me how much grindet material is left in. Looks to me that the light goes through the Glas and the aluminium tape reflects the light, works also in darker light conditions and very useful for me.
