Fucking dry socket is a nightmare! I had one when I had my Wisdom pulled. I smoked, very carefully(not careful enough). Mrs DieHard has had 2.(she used a straw both times absentmindedly)
I have a high pain threshold, and that thing took me out. It felt like a red hot fish hook went in my ear and wrapped around my left eye. Worse still painkillers didn't touch the pain!
Don't risk it. Our glass is not worth that kind of pain.
