Got bored while I was kilning a few things tonight so I pimped out the infamous pipesdaddy bubbler. I love it more than ever now that my nano is much further away from my face.
Also my 18mm joints are due to be delivered tomorrow...... So by Friday there should be some nice worked 18mm gongs.

I used to do iron-work and used some glass marbles here and there for accents. Long story, but unfortunately that hobby isn't much of an option for me anymore. But, ever since I've been toying with the idea of trying to work with glass. Yeah... another pipe (or is that nano) dream that probably won't occur. Good for you V&C for doing it!! I'm a little jealous, but doubt anything I did would look as nice as what you've been showing off here. You 'da MAN!!!

Have I mentioned lately what an incredibly cool fucking place FC is?? Thanks to V&C and all you other regulars who make it so.
I've got almost 4k invested right now and could easily drop another 4k if I had it. I work with a very small kiln and a very small torch (gtt bobcat). For the last year and a half I saved and planned and read anything and everything I could find on glassblowing and watched every vid on YouTube and sites like it....twice!!! I thought I had a good handle on it until I actually melted for the first time. Boy was I wrong but, I picked up on it quick. Although all of that planning and studying has allowed me to progress as quickly as I have. I'm 2 months in (never melted glass before that or taken a class), I can't wait to see where I am in 2 years. As soon as I've got enough saved for my new torch I'll be attempting bubblers and such. My point is with some determination and a lil cash anything is possible.

So cool, man! Nobody around me, but know some blowers offer classes or even individual instruction. Had one I met online from Cali a few years ago who was looking for someone to come into the shop to do simple line work in exchange for low pay and upper level instruction. You should check around your area. I also ran into a guy in Upstate NY a couple years ago who was basically doing the same. Met him at an LHS, and if I would have been able to stay a couple more days I would have gone just for the experience.

Would you be able to make these... One is 14mm and one is 18mm... With the creepy eyeballs on them. Maybe a little bloodshot.. A matched set... Artist choice with the coloring.
Also perhaps another set in clear with some purple rain warts. I'd be willing to make some sort of commitment (deposit if necessary).

DOOD. I need something like this so I can hook up my nano and the male DI joint on my bubbler with silicone tubing and glass connections.
To make those pieces I'll have to place an order for female joints. On that topic do you guys think there's any demand for female nano gongs to connect them to direct inject pieces?

I cant speak for anyone else, but i just got my first DI piece and am already looking for a way to try my nano with it. I don't think I've seen anyone do this yet... and I'm not 100% sure it's needed? Maybe you can do a female gong?

Yes, sir. I'm looking at them now, wishing I had ordered basket screens earlier than yesterday. Freakin' gong is off the chain.
Once I've stacked up some cash I'll order a bunch from Andy and start providing them with my pieces.

I have a DI recycler on its way and I would be very interested in getting a female nano gong for it.
