What's the purpose of the press?

I have a press and I couldn't figure the reason one would want to make kief more difficult to use?
+1 - i dont get it either. And don t get me wrong, i d love to have a reason to buy and use one and like the look of the sweet little Kief-Pucks...

I think most folks press kief for general ease of use.
I've heard folks say that it helps preserve the kief since only the outside is exposed to air.
I've also heard that it increases the potency of the kief although I have nothing to back that up.
This is my first press.
I hadn't ever collected kief before my SWII.
I'll probably go back to not separating my kief but I wanted to give it a go and see what comes of it.
The puck is pretty damn cool though!

Is it possibly a grinder? I have pretty much decided on getting a SWII but I will wait, just in case.

We were able to get another picture taken last night! This ones a little bit crisper than the last! I'm thinking we should be able to get a pretty good shot of it in about a week or so!

Well. These rod magnets are MUCH more powerful than the diametrical ones. And while they work most of the time, because the surface on top of the ceramics isn't completely flat, the vapcap isn't always completely stable. Leading to it occasionally toppling over.
I think you may be on to something?

This is just the SW 2 isn't it? Not a new product. Maybe more people are seeing it now that there's an interplanetary thread instead of it being mixed with other grinders.
Or am I confused?
(I do find the SW 2 better than the many other grinders I've tried.)
