Discontinued Inhalater INH05/5S/6

I confess I have not been doing my homework/reading...as excited as I am for this little device, I have only so much time to devote to it. This is part of the reason why i'm paying it forward to @lazylathe, because the device deserves the attention, and time to get to learn it and appreciate its nuances. Who knows @PPN maybe it will land in your hands for a test drive next! Interesting concept eh, that i'm pretty sure is an FC first? A demo vape that circulates amongst members for open honest review? Separate thread for reviewers only??? Hmmmm.....

Yes, it has been tried before, to get this vape separated from these pages, to me it means one thing, trying to shrug off/hide all the bad practices made by the company in the past.
Unfortunately when a manufacturer is caught shilling (biggest case on this site ever), you tend to judge who comes in here bigging up the product, that is only natural i think?
I personally think this site is a great place to inform new people, and with that in mind, setting up a 'review' page would, i'm sure, be very one sided, are there separate pages for other vapes?
I'm sure certain people are fed up of me popping up in here, but when a company unfairly uses customers to get ahead, new customers should be informed of this, as well as all the same people repeatedly saying how good it is.
The only review i would truly trust in here would be a moderator, and would like to see them use it on the daily for 6+ months, i don't think anybody has doubted it's ability to produce vape, just it's reliability and the customer service you receive.

I don't understand what you are saying here. Who is trying to shrug off and hide previous bad practices?

Unfortunately when a manufacturer is caught shilling (biggest case on this site ever), you tend to judge who comes in here bigging up the product, that is only natural i think?

I agree that it's natural, but i've been a part of this forum since it's invention, and have you seen my post count? It's not like I have less than 100 posts and go into a thread shilling or bigging up a product. I've been around, i've owned the INH004 (and thought it was a POS), and just happened to be able to test and review a vape. If you think i'm bigging up the 6S, i'd hate to hear what you think about me bigging up the Sublimator and Supreme!

setting up a 'review' page would, i'm sure, be very one sided, are there separate pages for other vapes?

HOW in the world is setting up a review page for a circulating demo vape "one sided"? Why would there not be any negative reviews? Where is the bias? I know this won't work in reality due to integrity issues with some people. There aren't separate pages for other vapes because this concept has not been implemented yet lol

I'm sure certain people are fed up of me popping up in here, but when a company unfairly uses customers to get ahead, new customers should be informed of this, as well as all the same people repeatedly saying how good it is.

Man, you really like to ruminate and dwell on the past. I'm sorry about your losses or hurt feelings from the past, but just because Inhalater was caught doesn't mean they are the only ones that have done this. I'm not giving excuses, but I also have been on this planet long enough to forgive and forget. But I know it's not easy, I still have a bad lingering taste in my mouth from when Vapexhale shat on me and didn't honour a warranty when they created their EVO. I also had to start a chargeback with them, that's never happened to me in 10 years of vaping. And you wanna chat ethics? Look at the Grasshopper....there is an actual ethics THREAD about it! Can we not move on? :horse:

I can't chime in on reliability, but my customer service has been AAA. If you will only trust a mod's feedback, then I am sorry you are limiting your knowledge base to just that..... but I understand if you want feedback on daily use for 6+ months, but you won't be getting that from me.

I also thought my initial feedback wasn't biased at all.... in fact if anything, i've said it's a great conduction vape but just not for me.

Almost every patient that comes to view FC on our computer has expressed this. The term that was used most often was "perseveration".
I can't chime in on reliability, but my customer service has been AAA.
I can chime in on reliability, having used an Inhalator every day for years since it's conception.
I was only without an Inhalater for 5 days after the police took our belongings, and then Greg sent one to me. My customer service experience has been great. I only needed warranty work once, and the only trouble there was that I had to pay shipping one way to get the unit to Canada... return shipping was paid for.
My favorite part of this vape is the capsule setup. Vapor path of half an inch, makes for great hits., and almost no cleanup. I think that is why I grab for any one of my 4 units, is the simplicity, dense vapor and lack of cleanup.
If you think i'm bigging up the 6S
I too think the 6S is grand.
It has all the features of my other Inhalaters, but a much faster heatup time (besides the turbo boost).
I got one inhalater from @PlanetVape and I got 2 from @PuffItUp. The 4th unit came to me from Greg when he heard I lost all of my vaporizers.
During my time of trouble a couple members of FC Staff wrote letters on our behalf, to the Judge.
16 Vape sellers and makers did the same. Greg was one of them. His letter is one of the two that the people in adult Probation read back to me, when deciding our fate, which as you can see is positive.
I enjoy this thread, which is about all models of my travel unit of choice.
It is no longer about bad forum etiquette.
If anyone has things to say about this particular poor forum etiquette breach there is a thread for that topic at http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/sock-puppetry.18699/#post-815560
Back on topic...
After all the recent (and appropriate) discussion about Inhalater Vaporizer, I went ahead and used the pulse (boost) button all day yesterday, and found the way I like to use it.
I enjoyed using it when the Unit is set for 6.5 and when the unit gets up to heat, but the vapor is still not thick yet, I boost a couple of times, and get the vapor thick real fast, and then I enjoy the rest of my 6.5 session without the boost.... until the end, and I give it a last boost or two to finish the load to an even dark ABV.

My favorite unit to use is still the XP, because I like the external click on cap for it's more secure hold on the unit. I also like that the cap on the 04 and XP are not "graduated" as are all following models. The XP cap, being perfectly cylindrical, also helps me get set up, as it can be placed upside down and used to hold capsules as you are prepping.

That's funny, i really recommend you look back at your posts, you do tend to repeat yourself, we thought this sprung to mind

Nice little dig though @Vitolo ;), but i learnt a new word so all good

I just come in here to balance the page, it seems to be mostly @Vitolo and @Old School saying the same thing, the latter having told us he was responsible for some of the INH05 design, new people coming in here should know all is not rosy with this company.

I had intended to keep this up for as long as the imaginary warranty i got with my 05 lasted, like i said, to keep people informed, at least me repeating myself is a genuine qualm with this company, the others on repeat seem to be doing it just for the love of this vape!

For all those 'noobs' and those who may not have read all this thread.
Page 87 post #2155
This one post sums up the situation and is the only post people should read on this thread when wanting to make an informed decision on this companies ethics.

I reckon if this was pinned to the top of the page i would not feel the need to represent both sides in here for possible new customers, and then no matter how many times the pages moved on, this information would not get lost

Man, you really like to ruminate and dwell on the past. It is not a case of dwelling on the past, it's a case of being ripped off and not wanting others to go the same way, maybe i'm just getting my £169 worth. Maybe if Inhalater were not such an underhand company, not honouring a warranty is one thing, but removing all evidence of the very fault in question just shows that i paid for their design mistakes.

I also have been on the planet for enough time to realise underhand tactics MAY be being used, but what we do know for DEFINITE is that Inhalator were, and that Greg is one of the only numptys to get caught :)

So in conclusion i would think that a companies ethics should be well represented on a page that is being used to gather information before purchasing a vape, don't you think?

Like i've said before, Inhalator have unfortunately made me question everyone, fortunately that is only in here, and am happy with random reviews elsewhere on FC.
I've got my own knowledge base on this product, i was simply pointing out that i would only trust a mod in here with any further updates, just to get that clear.

I agree that it's natural, but i've been a part of this forum since it's invention, and have you seen my post count? Just thought it was weird to want a separate page in your first review of this new product, as it's not a done thing lol

Just tried to tag Jonezen in here to see what he thought now he had owned the 06 for a while but it won't, might just be me, here's his postings page

http://fuckcombustion.com/members/jonezen.15990/

Finally, Greg got in touch with me 4 days short of a year ago, 17th March 2016, with an offer and promise, i left it, never mentioned it in here, giving him a chance to redeem himself, never contacted me again.

Like i said, HE contacted me, HE DEFINITELY checks this forum, he basically said he wanted to make amends for HIS previous mistakes, just wanting to quieten me in here, one of my parting statements to him was

'Your offer of a new unit would be appreciated, i started off saying good things about your product, it would be nice to go back to that again'

Never heard from him again, these are my experiences with your Greg, he is definitely banned from here for a reason, but he's def still skulking around

No, I don't. maybe if they were current, sounds like you're stuck living in the past dude....time marches on, things change, companies progress and improve. You really sound like you're on a crusade against them, and I get it bro, I really do...i've been there with VXl...you know, getting screwed out of warranty when they actually even exceeded their startup goals, receiving DOA product from them with zero support and having to actually go through the headache of filing a chargeback with my credit card company....but things have changed, for the better, and I supported them once again. This company isn't any different... my first 004 from many years ago was absolute garbage IMO, it literally fell apart on me...completely. I returned it and moved on, and now that I see inhalater has refined the product and improved in all aspects, and can't even come here to explain and defend themselves... i was lucky enough to sample the 6S and it is a solid product. Lightyears ahead of the 004 I had. Is it my favourite portable vape ever? Ofcourse not, everyone has different needs. But if definitely serves a time and purpose for more of a "session" style conduction vape.

We've all fucked up and done stupid shit in our lives....nobody is perfect, so let's finally move on and just discuss the vape.....and current customer service experiences that are actually relevant......perseveration alright...

My last contact with Inhalator was their promise of a new unit sent to me, following their contact, never heard anything again, this is my experience of customer service, the only others mentioning good cs are nearly all 'regulars'?

How has this companies ethics changed?

They now sell the 05 as a fixed unit, no mention of previous incarnations, is this a sign of their new wave of ethics?

You and vitolo can try and blame my being in here as a sign of a disorder or something, but please read back at recent posts, mostly by the same people, is that what you mean by 'perseveration'?

Google Inhalater and confine search to last month, not much activity anywhere, not much chance for anybody to check out new improved company, no other customer reviews to read?

It sure seems like a small, intimate family business, everybody that's got one of their products seems to have spoken to Greg in one way or another.

And dude, i'm not stuck in the past. see my other posts, like i said, i'm just getting my £169 worth by coming in here, keeping the ballpark equal and checking to see if this, up until now, toss company ever changes :peace:

Guys, let's not get into personal snipes here, ok? You can debate the product and company without getting personal with one another, I'm sure. We're all adults here, so let's keep it civil.

Thank you.

You're getting your 169 worth by coming in here and constantly rehashing your experiences and the past? Anyways, if you don't think my feedback or those other "regulars" here is valid, then i'm sorry to hear that.

Not surprising for an avid Vaporist like yourself.
I have met with or spoken to with the owners of most companies that make vapes.
One of the most popular Vape makers in the world has a handful of Staff and they seem to get the job done. (7th Floor LLC: makers of LSV. DBV, and SSV)
if you don't think my feedback or those other "regulars" here is valid...
@biohacker ... when a person has been "soured" about something... even if Abe Lincoln rose from the grave to speak praise, the voice would be drowned out by the rumblings in a dissatisfied individuals mind.
I have seen other posters over the years just waiting for a new positive post to appear in a thread, and they would get in here fast, so that every other alternating post was his negative feedback. (there is a thread for that also.)
(an example would be the Vapir NO2 thread). I still support Vapir products, and love my NO2!
Yesterday for a change I decided to use the INH 05. It does heat up more slowly than the 06 or 06S, but somehow the slower warmup, allows for a pretty long couple sessions, and a good flavor.
Today will be an XP day!

Wowser.... So anywho I have been away enjoying a little testing of my own while biohacker was test driving an INH 6s I was playing w/grasshopper.....

Although it hasn't dethroned my INH 5s it definitely has a nitch and for me that is massive rips as in bong style rips.... I found for best results you needed to pull much harder...air flow is key to extraction performance which in turn was much to warm to handle so I too found I had to use water to defuse how hot the vapor was....

I could also just pull slower but extraction performance suffered so for me it is being used at home or large gatherings like party's..... Oh I'll say this too I noticed all of my cigarette smokers liked the GH some even commented about liking feeling that heat believe it or not....smokers  go figure....

I also noticed as did others that the experience "high" was GREAT like old times (code for combusting) so I think it is capable of providing the missing element that only combustion can faithfully provide.....

I can get this also from the INH however I feel it extracts too quickly creating massive thick vapor also requiring water to deal with it....so I guess I feel that its way fun for sure but not so much on the regular daily driver theme.... Definitely a contender for sure.... :2c: :peace:

Hey @Old School thanks for sharing your GH experience and comparing it to the Inhalater. They are both very different vapes since the GH is 100% convection, and that's why the GH is better suited for me, as well as the incredible heatup time and ease of maintenance and use. But that damn reliability is something that pretty much makes it a deal breaker for me. I have 2 GH's, and both are on their way back to me, and one broke only a day after receiving it back from warranty? lol So far so good with the 6s, although I must admit I don't torture test it like the GH.

Too funny...and also NOT so damn funny I just received 3 GHs 1 for my gf & I & the other for a friend battling cancer.... So mine & my buddy's seemed wonderful but the 1 I just so happen to give to gf not so much..... Straight out the box cop lights that come & go... funny thing is when it does actually work it seems to get too hot I think.... So I ended up giving her mine & ive been playing/testing with it..... Fuckin thing rips like back in the day.... It caught me off guard a few times thought I was gonna cough up a lung....forgot my lungs could hold that much....

As fun as all that is or was it seems a bit much as well as wasteful..... I find the gh can provide me with abt 4-5 of the most humongous thick rich rips like back in the day....but I've also been finishing them off in my INH and I always get a nice pull in some cases 2 or 3 draws are left remaining so that doesn't sit well with me...

I'm like Vitolo in that I typically go 2-2.5 sessions so that 20+ mins to finish off what the gh can do in 4-5 rips in mere minutes depending on ones eagerness to get there....

I mentioned the key concern when using the GH is the air flow IMO... Well the key to operating the INH is "time"

Willing to almost bet you are not being patient enough as you were suspecting already... If you really wish to enjoy the flavored down on the lower ranges then you would get much better results allowing more time to pass in between draws..... Also u likely have a steady even pull.... This is great for the GH but the INH does much better with a rapid pull then pause followed by another pull....much like stoking a pipe....the stoking action offers that pause to allow heat to build both inside & outside the cap chamber....

Check it out I think you'll like it.... Please be warned that at the height temps allowing top much time I between rips can be fatal (burnt popcorn) now even though I tell you that... I myself will do that very thing when I'm trying to squeeze out that very last little bit of vape left.... But I've gotten pretty good with my time windows.... Have fun... :science: :peace:

OS

Edit: I forgot your playing with the 6s so here try this method s few times.... Let it reach 6.5 or 7 then hold down the button for a count of 10 then start your draw then about half way or 2/3rds before you finish drawing let go of the button similar to shutting off the GH towards the end to wash out all remaining heat energy left behind.... Now next rip repeat it again but if you want a bit more vapor count to 12 or 15 maybe then start your draw....

Yep, you were right.... it's just my brain is programmed from the GH and other vapes, so the technique adjustment was necessary. Cigar type puffs instead of long draws are best, and allowing time...however, you're right again at higher temps that conduction can cause some really nasty tastes. I still can't believe how good the flavour is on the lower spectrum, but sometimes BAM I just get a bad hit. I can see when I remove the capsule that it's due to material that's touching the side walls. It just looks uneven. I have had better luck with even abv with the glass capsule.

Ended up selling ALL my GH's! It was quite a roller coaster ride but i'm happy to finally get off. It's an expensive roller coaster when it's broken down all the time! lol

Inhalater must have the longest battery life out of any portable?

I think it's perhaps due to the low wattage heater and thin polyimide wall? Efficiency? Because you are correct it is pretty incredible.

On the other hand it takes what seems like an eternity to fully charge.

I haven't been really enjoying using the WPA with my water tool. I think it's just the nature of the conduction technology, and not being able to puff on a bong lol

Almost there...
My quick :2c: here as i got to play with @biohacker 6S the other day.

First impressions were pretty good, the unit feels solid and has a good weight to it.
Fits in my hand quite nicely.
Packaging was top of the class and it had all of the accessories to test!
However upon closer inspection you can see the decals have just been wrapped around the body with the ends visible and the numbered decal on the bottom looks like it will also start to peel off after use.
This happened with my INH5 as well.

As mentioned charging seems to take forever but battery life is very good.

I tried the Aero capsule, the glass capsule and the regular capsules.
Unfortunately i am not into conduction vapes at all, so take this with a grain of salt!
The first hit or two are wonderful and then by the time your 3rd hit rolled around the material has that very distinct conduction taste, that to me does not taste good in any way.
I was using it on a medium heat most of the time due to the taste deteriorating so rapidly.

The pulse feature was interesting but for me all it did was to highlight that extreme conduction taste of the vapor once warmed up.

If you are a conduction fan, this vape will blow you away!
Clouds can be blue and small or white and huge!

I do not see the value that has been placed on this vape though. It has some unique features but to me this does not justify the price.

If the chamber was glass lined it may provide a cleaner and longer lasting flavor and be more accepted by convection type people.
I think they have a great product that needs a few tweaks here and there to bring it up to date.

The price is high ... yes.
This does not seem to dissuade any new customers from buying.
I am seeing them popping up around town more and more.

That was just a personal comment not meant to dissuade any new buyers!
As i said, i am not a conduction type of guy, so take what i say with a grain of salt.

I used to love my INH05!

Absolutely, I respect those that tell it as it is....not sugar coating or developing some sort of fanboy mentality! I agree with lazylathe, that it's a great conduction hybrid, but it's very overpriced IMO. But like most vapes, and things in life...pros and cons.

NamasteVapes is the official retailer for the 06S and I'm happy to say i will get one soon for a review here! I was in contact with Greg since +2 years and finally it happens: a Inh06S is on my way (thanks to Namastevapes!).

I'm very excited to see by myself this pulse feature, I think there is a good place in my line-up for a good conduction vape. When I vape with people I don't like peoples wait for my answer while I'm hitting a convection vape, for sociability and walks around conduction vapes are better. Without to mention how they are smoother for the throat!

As a connoisseur I love the convection but as an everyday vaper/stoner I think conduction is more convenient.
