Ok, so I would like to have one. Right now I have a splinter and use power mode, only because I can't figure out how to install firmware. So my question is can I run this in watts and what is the low and high numbers . Thanks
TC works much better in my opinion here with the imp
Which mod do you have? I can help installing arctic fox firmware

Evic v2 mini, looking at buying a aster rt if I get an impcognito
Ok. the aster rt is really a good option. once you have it, make sure you've got a micro-USB data cable, which can transfer info in addition to charging stuff.

1. install nfe tools https://nfeteam.org/forum/threads/af-12-rp-2-nfe-tools-v190703.3894/
2. install arctic fox through nfe tools (NToolbox.exe inside the folder of nfe after winrar's extraction, Update Firmware in the menu)
install the latest:
https://nfeteam.org/forum/forums/arcticfox-releases/
3. once everything set up you'll get into the menu of the arctic fox's configuration you'll search for TC profile, then you'll have to chooose
-TCR. set it to 110.
-Watts. set it 40W
-Temperature dominant: starting from 185C
--PS: If you wanna use 'autofire', you'll have to send some print screens or wait for another post, because i don't know how to enable it but i know that it can easily be found in the settings in some tab

Have fun and good flavors, because you'll quickly get it ;)

You can run in power mode. I don't have exact numbers but 15 to 34 watts should be a reasonable range.
I have step by step instructions for firmware installation posted. If you need info on the firmware set up dm me. I do set ups for a small fee

it think you need to install Wine or a Virtual Machine on the Chromebook to basically emulate Windows
There's some instructions on the Arctic Fox forum
It's only a 2 min job on PC if you can borrow or get access to one.
And once AF is installed you can do everything you need on the mod so you don't need the PC again

Hey all, my Impcognito just came in and I had a question that became a bit more confusing to me after researching as I’m unfamiliar with coils.

Currently, my Imp is mated to an Istick Pico and flashed with @Easywider ’s Arctic Fox settings. My first day of usage was amazing, the Imp was ripping through stem after stem before night came and I realized there was a glow coming through my intake holes.

I adjusted my Imp to not glow when the button is held down, but it now produces a lot less vapor than it did when it glowed. I am fine with accepting this decrease in performance if it means maintaining my health but after reading through threads on the Imp, Glow and Stempod I think I’ve become more confused about how the glow works.

Do we need to avoid any glowing at all, or does a light glow that appears during a test run go away once you start to inhale? If we should avoid having the coil ever glow, how do you guys recommend adjusting settings to get the most out of my Imp without having a glowing coil?

On my imp it would have a light glow when firing before inhaling and it would go away once inhaling started. I would say this normal operation for anything that using a smaller e-cig style coil. I don't know enough about the degradation of metals at certain temperatures to say whether or not there's any health risks involved.

Greetings all, I've been playing with my impcognito for over a week now. Have it sitting in a aster rt . Running in wattage mode. What works for me is 20 w for 3 or 4 flavor hits, then bumped my way up to 23 w to finish. Tried to install artic fox, failed, (used my cell phone cord) but it's all good. Now I'm thinking about getting a wood dosing stem . Any thoughts on this ? Or should I just stick with a mouthpiece? @obsessed2 ,how did that stem work out for you that Dave made for you ?

I prefer the glass, always, but the wooden mouthpiece allows you to do the cooling beads here which are very nice, and the bent glass stems are great... The dosing capsules are not as efficient for me. But you really got to get Arctic Fox on that thing and set up temp control! As was mentioned earlier, with this coil it will be much more effective (impressive) in TC mode.

Any advice on how to easily remove the glass stem after I vape a load. The stem seems to get stuck in the body and with the wiggling and pulling I'm afraid I'm going to break something. Is this just something I have to deal with ? I would think that all I have to do is lightly twist and pull. Doesn't seem to matter if the stem is hot or cold.

It's a tight fit but at least it prevents "lipstick incidents". I can even hold my Impcognito+mod by the stem and it doesn't fall. So to me it's a feature. Sticks better than a GonG connection actually.

I just hold the body in place to minimize the strain applied to it and pull the stem straight, maybe with a wiggle sometimes.

If you really have troubles, you can grease the o-rings. There are safe oils to use that don't get rancid or sticky but I don't have any to recommend in particular. But I know it's a common practice.

I just wiggle or lean it in one direction to loosen the seal.

Thanks for responding. I wasn't sure if mine was an odd one, plus it's sitting in a aster rt, so with my sausage claws it's kinda hard to get the stem out without pulling things apart. I guess I just need to get my technique down. Still loving my impcognito.

Yeah I just try to grip and twist out slowly, it is unfortunately not easy with my hands issues and has me using mine less, which is a shame since it is such a sleek and effective portable!

I noticed the Wood Dosing stem slides in and out a lot easier than the glass stems, especially when you apply a bit of protective beeswax. I really feel like the dosing stem plus capsules is an upgrade over using the glass stem and screen after receiving my wood stem in the mail a week ago. ABV is incredibly even with no stirring or stem rotation and the hits are a bit milkier as the stainless steel pod holds some heat during a hit.

When I had mine, I applied some bee's wax to the o-rings to help with the glass. The wood stems are easier and you can always hit them with a few turns of sandpaper to make them even smoother.

I liked the glass stems the best for flavour and the speed they can produce vapour. The wooden stems with dosing caps where great when I wanted to finish a capsule in 1 sitting, it takes a bit longer to heat soak and start rolling but once it does it's incredibly milky with even roasting all around.

When I tighten the Impcognito in my Aster RT, one of the airholes is blocked by the body of the mod. Should I undertighten so it's unblocked or is there another way to adjust this?

If I’m understanding this correctly you should be able to twist just the sleeve of the Imp (separate from the coil deck) to a position that the air holes aren’t blocked before reapplying it

Thank you! I thought that was the case but couldn't get it to go, had to apply some elbow grease and now both airholes are free.

@Shit Snacks i prefer the threads remain separate. The performance is somewhat different between the two vapes.
@amazing there is adaquate space between the mod and the vape. If you twist the body of the vape the inlets may not be lined up perpendicular to the coils so i would leave it as it came unless you have serious airflow resistance
