i just received one of the carbon fibre test copies and after fully charging it it won't turn on!!! The charging light is green but no combination of button presses causes anything lights to turn on. Nobody else has seemed to have had this problem. Help please i was so excited for this to work.

Further more unlike the past malfunctions that happened with other people's imags this happened before any usage at all. While connected to a charger their indicator lights will briefly flash. My indicator light has showed no function whatsoever

Just a little bit confused. I have received mine just today and i am planning to do a review later . My question is when it comes to concentrates, can you use the current cartridge inside the vape or is there another separate cartridge for concentrates? My package contains 1 vape, 1 package tool, 1 cleaning brush, 1 tweezer, extra mouthpiece, 1 usb cable, and 1 manual. I don't see the extra cartridge so i am assuming i can use concentrate with this device straight out of the box.
BTW: I now understand that "robot smell". I only notice when I turn on the vape itself to do burn outs. I am still charging this device and doing the usual burnouts but i will use my herbs and concentrates later today so i can fully test this device. Side note: i am impressed at how fast this thing heats up. Shutdown timer could be extended but i am fine with it at this stage.

Sorry mate I think you missed the boat on this one. Last I heard this is the last batch going out. That could always change I guess, so keep an eye on the thread.

Sounds like the unit was dead on arrival. Shoot Ray an email i'm sure he'll help you out.

This is a great question. The manual mentions removing a separate cartridge but there is no cartridge. I tried using the one i got with original imag plus and it doesn't fit (no surprise).

Interesting. My manual does not mention anything about a separate cartridge. What I do find interesting is that i can see they a drilled a hole inside the box ( i am referring to the black styrofoam when you look inside the box) and filled it in. I guess we need to talk to Ray about this . I don't feel comfortable using concentrates because it seems like it will damage the unit.

hi, i can not speak for the new model, but with the imag+ i have very good results with organic cotton for extracts!

cut a piece that will fill the oven if pushed in just a little bit and place extracts in the middle,if a little worried place between the layers. put into bowl and start up, at temp take a few draws and then open the chamber again to kind of stirr the load once, its more a push down pull up,side to side action,but it will spread the liquified concentrate more even. close again and have a long session!
i usually start with green and go to red for a third and fourth session.

dont be afraid to use cotton in vapes! but make sure you have the right kind (does not vape on its own at least)

Check page 16, relevant part:
"To clean the heating chamber:
1.Make sure the device is turned off.
2.Pull out the heating cup from the heating chamber with the tweezer
3.Use the brush tool to gently clean the walls of the heating chamber"

Ah, I didn't notice the filled in hole! Maybe they're still developing the cup and will eventually include it? Could be it's just omitted for the tester units.

So, what is the verdict. Should we wait for the imag+ ceramic or go for the gen 1 with the rustless iron oven? Seems like some growing pains with the new iteration. I think w9tech is still selling the gen 1 so no problems there.

I will write a full review later but as it stands I think this model is a failure. Even on the red setting I am only getting whispy hits. I mean it produces vapor, sure but the original model was described as a cloud machine. I would honestly say that the mouth piece is a disaster. Perhaps if this is rectified the problem may be solved. I will try a Solo screen tonight but as it is I don't really want to vape out of this anymore. So far it has just proven to be a waste of material. Such a shame but at least this is still a beta-model. Hopefully, the problems can be solved.

Wow,dude.. I have just the opposite experience.. Blue is fine but, green is too hot, i can't even think turning on red, feeling it will combust, my abv on green comes really dark brown, darker than i want... + starting to get some weird taste.
Also when you blow into moutpiece air comes from usb .

Wonder why we are having such different experiences. Next to my air, sure its not close in cloud production, but are huge clouds really necessary (given the price point)? Guess its hard to compare mine given most of the units I have used cost alot more. It is alot less efficient compared to my air. I will have to do more tests before I want to say more.

if I blow on the mouthpiece no air comes out of the USB but air does come out of the ring/button area. If the two holes are blocked and you blow air through the unit, there should be no air escaping. Regarding temp, I start on blue and then go up one step at a time (vaporstepping)

Just received mine in the mail! Props to w9 tech. Ordered on Sunday and got it Tuesday. I haven't tried it yet, just did a few burn offs and now it's charging. I got the blue and it's slick, nice matte finish. I can only say stuff about the looks of it. It's smaller and way lighter than a normal ecig. It's thicker and only a little taller than my v2 pro series 3 ecig. I figured out how to use it in less than a minute lol. 3 clicks on, hold to change temps, and it has an inhalater type flashing when temp is ready. Gotta wait till blast off time now.

Hello, I'm trying to figure out which one to get the Imag+ or the V2 pro series 3 w/ the herb cartridge. Which do you think would be better to bring to concerts and clubs? Hey @squishy both vapes are stealthy, but the v2 is thinner in size and with a clip, it could pull off looking like a regular pen. being smaller, the v2 chamber holds only a tiny bit compared to the aimag+. The v2 is more of a one hitter type. I don't have the newer version of the Imag+ which addresses the MP issue where it screws on instead of popping on?

If stealth is your priority then that goes to the v2 (the imag has an e cig type look, but still stealth)

If you want a bigger chamber go for the mag+

Got mine yesterday tried it today my micro usb port has pushed in so charger will not make connection anymore , might be able to pull it out but other than that it seems ok apart from i did not realise the high temp was so high ..... i have emailed raymond so will see.

if you shine a light in chamber you can see the element printed on outside of ceramic like pcb tracks, thought that was cool but maybe coz im an electonic engineer lol....

I got giant clouds out of my unit, did they change something dramatically? That is very odd, even my smoker friends were impressed with the amount of vapor, even on the lightest heat setting....

It's listed in the package contents (page 3) and there is a picture of it on page 7 but no where does it mention on why you need to use it. If you look at the chamber, there is no bullet or cartridge. So i can't really confirm if it's okay to use concentrates or not.

I want to thank Gibarian for opening the inside of the unit. At least i get an idea what's underneath the chamber.

The tweezers are to remove the concentrate cup, which you did not receive, from the heating chamber.

My original imag+ had the "concentrate" cart in the package. It just looks like it was missing from the test units.
