How would you categorize my cannabis use?

From the dosing guide I followed, "extremely high" is synonymous with "macrodose".

The risks of using increase with dosage, and they include: drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, anxiety, nausea, cognitive effects, euphoria, blurred vision, headache, orthostatic hypertension, psychosis, depression, ataxia, tachycardia, hyperemesis and diarrhoea. Such side effects are only possibilities, with many of them minor and others quite rare.

Medical guidelines aim for greatest benefit with least risk, and with little therapeutic benefit from THC dosage exceeding 40 mg/day higher doses are generally not recommended. Risks such as tachycardia and psychosis make THC potentially dangerous for some users, and it is also not recommended for pregnant women (mainly because its effects on an unborn child are uncertain).

Tolerance to THC will increase without regular breaks of two days or more, but its therapeutic effects do not diminish, and patients requiring higher doses generally have a high pre-existing tolerance or they are overusing their medicine for non-medical purposes.

Recreational users will adjust their usage to avoid discomfort, and if side effects are not experienced there is no practical limit to consumption. The main problem is increasing tolerance leading to greater use, with an increased risk of dependency and withdrawal symptoms on cessation.

The degrees of dosage previously described were based on medical considerations, and non-medical users perhaps need a different scale. For habitual macrodosers using without medical guidance the only defined limit is the (ridiculously high) level required for toxicity, with high or low doses determined mainly by one's own situation. While medical use can (to some extent) be objectively assessed, recreational use remains subjective.

In Australia, in most places the upper limit of THC prescribed in oil is about 100mg THC BD (per day) and I think the most I heard of being prescribed in flower is like 120g a month. When you actually talk to the people in the community as a how much they are using and spending, 90% of people use 1 gram or less per day.

I guess thats the thing right, because its illegal and has been locked from being experimented on properly for years, we don't have a lot of long term studies to really know whats going on we can only infer based on the short things have been decriminalised

Some things remain unknown or uncertain, but the 138 studies referenced (and their references) dating from the 1970s to 2021 provide much useful information. And long-term users provide their own test cases, so the anecdotal reports of forum members are valuable. Centuries of medical, recreational and religious use suggest no serious problems, although animal studies consistently report reduced fertility from continuous high doses. After more than 40 years of continuous use I have no related health problems, apart from dependency and some damage caused by previous smoking. And if my fertility is reduced I really don't care, but perhaps that is something younger users should consider.

I just look at the changes in my partners view on cannabis as an example, when we met she hated the idea, smell and she struggled (as a person that didn't even drink) to understand why I used cannabis, now about 12 years later, she is the one that buys my medication and actually promotes its use (I've been unable to work due to disability for more than 9 years).

What changed her mind was when I decided to try and do "everything right" and I stopped using cannabis all together and listened to my doctors and tried all the medications, machines, surgeries and therapies that they recommended to treat my conditions, it was a combined team of a pain specialist, a rheumatologist, a psychiatrist, a cardiologist, a gastroenterologist and sleep specialist and it didn't end well. After a about a year of following instructions, doing therapies having surgeries and using the medications prescribed, my world fell apart and I ended up in hospital. I only used the medications - as there were prescribed - but the side effect were significant and my mental health seriously suffered.

We, my partner and I realized that it everything started falling apart when I stopped using cannabis and started the pharmaceutical's... and since then, I have been battling to get off the pharmaceuticals, a 5 year journey that still isn't over but I am "this close". Cannabis has been a big part of my recovery.

Because of all of that and more, I don't really see the reason to focus on "how much I use" and just focus on the consequences of its use which for me, on balance, its very positive.

The side effects of many prescribed medications are worse and more common than any adverse effects from Cannabis, and for the myriad of conditions it can help (often more effectively) it is surely a better option. And more research is only revealing more benefits :)

I've gone from vaping only weekends to vape daily, and though I don’t vape that constantly (max. 2 sessions a day) maybe I’m using too much material.

A bowl in my Crafty+ really does it, and maybe I should fill only medium bowl.
@TheFatBastard you should definitely try Micro-dosing with your Crafty+ !!!

I started doing it a couple of days ago and it's unbelievable how less is indeed more.

Take you full Crafty bowl, divide it into 4 smaller ones and you have about .06 per dose, which for me equals 3/4 hits at 180°, 2 hits at 195° and 1 hit at 210°. Then the magic happens.

You won't need a second bowl for about 1.5 hours and the battery of your Crafty+ will increase something by like +80% its life.

I actually couldn't believe all this, but thanks to the beautiful people here and marvelous posts like the one on Micro-dosing it all real 🤩

So, when I am a good boy, I now vape about 1g per day and I am still pretty much treating myself 🙊🙉🙈

Keep it up brother 💪🏼

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
I vape every day but still fall in the light to moderate category. I tend to vape from late afternoon through the evening, and this usually consists of a TM2 flower bowl, then a dab of rosin in an e-rig once or twice and then several puffs off a resin cart before bed. I stay light because each session is a small amount of weed. The flower bowl is probably .05g and the dabs are the size of a half grain of rice. Oh, and usually 12-15mg of tincture before bed.

I am blessed with a low tolerance that never goes away. Tho, I can't buy a ball vape because I'll give myself a panic attack.

Hi all guys!

I know everyone is different, but I had a real blast talking to a couple of friends about using cannabis in a regular way, and I’d like to throw an experiment here.

How would you guys categorize my cannabis use? Too much? Too little? Average? Ridiculous?

I usually vape once a day (around 0.25g) and try to leave one day or two from time to time, so I don’t vape through the whole week. Ocasionally, I vape around 12 in the morning, while relaxing and meditating at the beach, and maybe in the evening to hear some music, play guitar or watch a movie.

I maybe consume around 2g weekly. As I said, mostly once a day, sometimes twice a day.

Thanks in advance for your inputs.
Vape it your way. That's the whole jambalaya eco system known as cannabis consumption. I've been vaping for 8 years and my technics have changed, but I've dialed down how, and when I consume. You found what works for you! peace, happy holidays.

I have in general 2 large bowls with the Volcano Hybrid trough da bong to kickstart my day.=2x 2.4 grams.
after that I keep topping up trough da day with the reducerbowl ,at the moment, after long Covid, I have been able for 6 months now, to only can vape with the Hybrid.
I, have not ever used my Hybrid dry.......:uhoh:.

some people will say well, that's because you filter out so many cannaboids, but I ,don't feel that's true.
but, it does absolutely, filter out the irritants, imho.

but, a day not having vaped more than 3 grams dry herb, is to me a wasted day:freak::razz:.

much love
