Hi all! I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Blu and I'm Nick's aka @RastaVapa daughter.
I'd like to give everyone an update. As you all know my brave dad fights blood cancer and up until not long ago has been very poorly. As it stands right now dad feels his best hes felt in a long time, its what we have called 'the semi recovery' lol.
@RastaVapa has spent the last month or so in the workshop getting back into the swing of thingsand I'm currently awaiting approval of a manufacturer account, as now with a team behind him HomeGrown Logs will once again be ready!
So that dad can worry about making these beautiful logs, I shall be on here and once the website is ready, I shall be on there too, as the face of HGL.
HGL now has a new and updated version of the core and we have lots of new and exciting pieces of art coming up!

Nice to meet you Blu and welcome to FC.

Thanks for the update on your dad, it's great to hear he's in the shop enjoying himself again! Looking forward to seeing the new beautiful logs and checking out your updated core. If you need anything that we can help with from this side of the pond please let us know.

Morning everyone! So glad to finally have my account changed! So later today, photos and details about Dads latest pieces will be put up and ordering books shall once again open

I'm so pleased my dad is fighting back to health. It's been a long battle and it will forever be a battle with terminal illness, but everyday that man shows strength and courage to carry on. Positive thinking and positive vibes go a long way, thank you everyone for your kind well wishes

I have an E-nano atm, but step down is making me crazy. Also british made would be cool ofc .

Didn't sent a blank, but me and Nick talked a while back when he was better for a while (think last August or so) via PM about him turning me a body for my DIY Log project here (DIY section: "Da Cork Bomber"), so that I could install one of my own cores in there.

That's no longer necessary though, as my DIY Log project progressed quite nicely since then and I've found a way to make suitable bodies myself, using a drill press and pre-turned handrail blanks

I'm still in the market for a complete HGL unit though (with your new core, stems, WPA etc.) to add to my collection, once your books are open again

So... exited here for the upcoming pics

Hi @ubardog! Nice to see some friends from sunny old UK also
Production is milling along nicely, there will be 4 HGL units as of next week and also a second hand revived, and will be first come first served on ones already made.
Waiting list will only be a certain amount deep and we will top up the list as we go, as this avoids a long waiting period for everyone.
We are still throwing prices about as we want to make sure you guys all get top quality deals. As soon as things are set in stone, I will be posting

Hey all! Sorry I haven't been on much this week, it's been one of them weeks . Anyone else had a hectic week this week??
So here's what's happened... I have three boys, all in primary school. So far this week I've spent three days at the school watching them do sports and things now I'm all for supporting my kids doing their thing... but I've had to pretend I'm human and sociable up the school for three whole days.. Then I had a sort out of some bits and was putting boxes in the loft when I managed to fall out and nearly desheaf my middle finger I'm ok, bruised but I live to tell the tale lol. I'm lucky to walk away with just cuts and bruises as it could have been so much worse, but you know what? This is my luck ha! My nickname is bad luck blu because I'm forever being clumsy anyway....

I will be putting some information up today about the new HGL units we are just getting everything in order I am so excited to show everyone what we have in store and what we have coming!

Also just an update on dad.. he had hospital up London this week and blood tests. His blood is the best it has been in years we are so very proud of him. Best news we could have!

So a little info as promised...

We will be offering two HGL packages, once books have opened.
Standard package: HGL unit, psu and stem/ wong combo with a choice of 3 different woods.
Deluxe package: variable control, stem, wong / gong and HGL unit, with a larger selection of woods.

Prices are still to be confirmed and all packages will be pick and mix to your choices. We have so many options available with it all.

Were also considering doing packages of just stems, wong etc, let me know if this is something everyone will be interested in.

Also can any members that was on @RastaVapa last list please message me, as a thank you for your patience during dads illness, you will be put top of the list when books open.

Lots more info will be coming soon.
