@coolbreeze Hoping my answer is what you want. Still kinda new to terminology so I'm ok to be corrected but I see no conduction meaning burning or massive coughing, or when I use my Terpicle and almost combust? All observation show material going from green to brown to dark brown very slowly. I still have the original so capsule was in the actual stem :)
I was sort of getting at the feeling of the high, sometimes people feel a difference in the qualities of it depending on how the herb is heated. In this case the Lampe is largely convection-heated, with hot air form the bulb pulled through the herbs to strip the goods away. Generally people feel a pure convection high is spacier or headier.

The heated glass adds some radiation heat as well, but when you encapsulate the weed in metal, the metal heats and conducts that heat to the weed, heating it a third way. In this case, your convection would be reduced a bit with a lot of added conduction from the hot capsule. People sometimes describe the resulting feeling as heavier or stonier. I was curious if you could notice any difference. It might be handy to keep a capsule around to make the Lampe sleep-conducive, for instance.

@coolbreeze " feeling of the high, sometimes people feel a difference in the qualities of it depending on how the herb is heated" Yes and Yes :). I've only been vaping, mostly mico dosing using the Mighty (capsules) or Dynavap (half bowl setting) and recently using the Vapman. I do feel a difference between the Wunderlampe and the e-nano xl, using the same amount of herbs I get more buzzier with the Wunderlampe and get more hits too, "does not compute" :). Maybe I need more researching. Sativa during the day and Indica at night keeps me good and if I need a little more kick I might do 2-3 more sets. I used to smoke joints only till 2019, so 4 year newbie, still lots to learn with the devices I have. Thank you again you have a wealth of knowledge and so do others on this FC site.

It's a little early for this malarkey but I know where my day is headed:

is this thing on?
What a fantastic macro!

The light is the crown, wonderful detail!
Thank you! With the stock bowl the vapor is trapped and pushed down and spirals around, it looks great and for me it's very nice to see the process in action.
His earlier one from awhile back is sort of my iconic mental image of the Wunderlampe. This one is even better!
It's the same picture actually (just cropped and b&w last time) when I tried it out with CBD flower. I found it again some days ago and I think it really catches the "vaping spirit". These days I use other vaporizers when it comes to bigger CBD loads and use the Wunderlampe mostly for quick microdosing hits with non-stock bowls. It's still amazing! With the microdosing bowls the vapor gets pushed directly in the stem. There seems to be a vapor barrier by heat going on.

Well, I've caught the Vaping Spirit and I'm gonna take it for a balloon ride afterwhile!

Well look what just arrived... I'm a very happy chappy. A big thanks to René for hooking me up!

Still getting the hang of it at this stage, but It's been putting out some of the freshest vapour i've ever had the pleasure of inhaling ;-)

And lordy, the size of that bowl (not pictured) is on another level. Left me absolutely comatose the first time I really got the clouds going lol.

I almost hate to do this to you, but if you go back in the thread you will find various chambers made for the Aromed, including some customs from a headshop in France. The big advantage to them is the have a ground glass stem that will fit your waterpipes, giving you more options.

The chambers are always out of stock because they're custom made, you'd have to contact the store probably. They're so handy they're what I usually use but ordering them can be a frustrating experience unless you let the hippie-zen of the situation play out. The folks at that shop are fairly casual in the business sense so things take some time and some reminders. But eventually your order will come and the chambers themselves are absolutely liberating. My point is, I think, if you find such a possibility useful, order now and expect them...some transformative day. ; )

The lack of a joint on the bowl/downstem is a bit of a bummer, but I've found a somewhat janky (but airtight) combo with an ash-catcher and the downstem's 'seal' that does the job for now. I'll need to find a better catcher for the job though, as this one has a perc and it's all just a bit too bulky. Gives me a male joint to work with though!

I was actually on the hunt for some of the Aromed parts (namely the smaller bowl, the 'recreation' one I believe it's called?) mentioned here before this beauty arrived, but for the life of me couldn't find stock anywhere ha. Perhaps they aren't made anymore - the only bowl available appears to be this: https://verdampftnochmal.de/en/aromed-herb-chamber and I'm not sure how this compares to the native bowl? Shipping costs from Verdampft Nochmal are brutal, too :-(

I appreciate the heads-up regarding the Starlight piece! I probably would've assumed they just weren't available anymore. Sounds like a very interesting purchasing experience 😵‍💫 I wonder if commissioning a local glass blower would be easier haha.

That's a great idea! I think the Aromend chambers with the grind at the top of the long downstem ought to work the same.

I'm not sure, it may be the same? The name suggests it's shorter, but do they mean the stem or the chamber? not sure--it may be neither, just bad label translations?

Lol. Well, they understood the gear enough to know what to tell the glassblower. But I bet if you sent one of the OG chambers to your glass guy and asked for a couple with the joints they'd be able to oblige with little trouble. I'd be happy to measure mine with the shorter chambers so you could also have him make some that place the herbs a little closer, like the Recreation bowl. The Starlights are also nice because they are designed to hold a basket screen or capsule in the neck, which creates a much smaller bowl, really useful in light of the OG's size.

Haha, thank you! I remember looking at this site too - clearly I wasn't in the most "attentive" state of mind lol. Unfortunately, with the price of shipping I'd be paying for the equivalent of 4 bowls and receiving 1... The joys of living in Australia eh 😂

Appreciate the offer re: dimensions, too! I'll have a think about what I'd like to try. For now it's pretty fun tinkering with it as is. I'd really love to find a grommet/bonza bong that fits the OG bowl's downstem - it'd have to be just the right size & orientation though. Probably better off cutting a hole in something myself!

Hope you'll show us what you come up with. I'm gonna try my CC Calypso with it if everything reaches. Then I may just set up Rene's rig, it's really very nice and I haven't indulged in awhile. : )
