I like to use the HA (2.2) turned over into glass. I find that the TonG is best for this due to it's longer connection keeping the mp from slipping off. 1/8" off the top of the crucible (a dremel works) makes it fit fine with the TonG. To avoid conduction waste I tend to tap out the crucible between sessions and a screen on the top of the load keeps from losing any goods while tapping it out.

There, all my best tips in one short post. :)

I've never had much luck using my ha with glass. What are you all doing that makes it work so well?

...hello.
Iv always found a few nice long pulls on the m.p. before connecting to glass gets the load nice and heat soaked and you can Guage when it's primed....
...as with any vape I suppose...

Is the problem you are having keeping the mouthpiece attached? That seems to be what causes the most difficulty when using glass. That is where the TonG comes in with it's beefier connection. Because it sticks in further it is less likely to pop off.

Or are you having a different problem?

@cybrguy i have the TonG mp so no probs with keeping it attached. I just don't seem to get much vapour. I have only been vaping for just under 2 months so am still learning.

@EVlL 55 thanks for the tip. I will give this a go and hopefully will get some nice clouds in my wp!

I haven't found the HA the cloudiest of vapes but I have had no problem getting serious buzzage with it. Clouds CAN be an indicator of how much extraction is going on, but a lack of clouds is not an indicator that there is no extraction. Your best indicator is the relative color of the goods after you gave vaped them. You are not getting dark brown ABV from unexausted goods. The strain, the moisture content the temp and your lung power are all contributors to cloudage.

Are you getting better clouds in your other vapes with the same goods? As long as your ABV is getting dark and you are feeling the effects, the cloudiness or lack of it shouldn't be a concern. We ARE doing it for the effect, after all...

I didn't find it the cloudiest either, which was a bummer for me. But nice grind and vapor bong I get clouds that keep me from purchasing an Evo, so she ain't so bad!

I've read this before that it doesn't "billow clouds"...but I HAVE seen some impressive videos that prove otherwise. How are the clouds (ie. hit density, size, etc) obviously it depends on many factors, but all things being equal - how does the HA compare to all the other vapes out there for cloudage?

Thanks for the replies.
I've only tried using a wp with my ha a couple of times. I will be putting in more practise in the coming week.
I did give up pretty quickly with my vapour-bonging and swapped back to the whip each time after just a couple of hits, so not sure of the effects.

Think i need to get the smoke-filled bong image from my combusting days out of my head :rip:

I believe the best way to achieve dense, cloudy bags other then by raising the temp, (I use rather low heat and get nice cloudy bags @340 F.) is to load nuggets with no grind and pack the hell out of it. I also use a finer screen on top of the mp screen to avoid particles getting in the bags. works great this way with loads of .3gm and above. I weigh the nugs.

Naw, best way to achieve dense, milky BONG hits? Some videos show serious milkage, but some users are only getting wispier clouds...i've seen this mentioned numerous times.

What size screens are used in the mouthpiece?

So it's load dependent? Can you not get just as thick of a cloud, albeit only 1 hit, from say .1g?

I'm just curious because my interest in this vape is exclusively for direct bong use. I don't like whips nor bags. Worth it to purchase just for water bonging? Or should I just stick with my Solo and gong?

Way better than a solo and gong, if you wanna use .1 pack it down with a screen, I'd try .2 packed I've had good results with that and a 12inch glass, 4ish really cloudy hits and more gradually thinner ones

Hard to say. There are a couple other cloudier plugins, but they cost a lot more. Like the Evo (from what I understand). If you are primarily a cloud chaser than you should probably get something known as that. When I got my HA I was looking to get buzzed, and it did that well every time.
I understand there is a great sale going on right now for the EVO with unusually good pricing. Maybe that is really what you want. I would hate to see you get the HA and be disappointed. I can only say that I was not. :)

Added: If you go further back in the thread there are a lot of pics with very cloudy bong hits, so it certainly can be done.
On another sub, did someone say that the concentrate crucibles are already cut down to the proper height to use with the TonG?

I bought a ha hoping it would milk a bong... Tried a few times it didn't. Started grinding and packing with a screen and now it does, less than the hammer which I still use probably more but certainly enough to save me coin on an Evo while I wait for a zion.

Can you share your reasons? I find the Solo like a portable Nano, only better IMO.

Not an EVO fan, and don't get me wrong, it's all about the medication - I don't NEED clouds, I just really like them - but I will only be using the bong. Sounds like the HA still may serve me well.

To me the ha is like a plug in solo only leaps and bounds better. If you don't care to much about clouds (which should still be achievable) and want to water bong it, HA and some tong/gong set up would be ideal, especially if you enjoy water bonging wth the solo.

Awesome, sounds like it's right up my alley. Still not sure why the clouds are difficult to achieve for some? With the Solo/gong, it's CLOUD CITY without effort.

I just need some durable vapes, and glass and me don't seem to mix very well. I'm hoping that the Solo and HA fill all my needs.

Yea it puzzles me where the clouds go in this thin maybe a higher air ratio, although in saying that ground or even just broken up and a slight pack you should get vapor bong milk, not thick and dense as some others, but certainly enough to remove transparency. Another trick I found for vapor bong if you haven't lost the crucible like I have. I used to fill the crucible, attach elite mp (I have an elite) put that in the glass and remove and attach the actual HA onto it, stops the vapor pouring out while not in use but won't tip your Rachael bilson like leaving the whole unit in there will.

Also this thing is a tank, spent Saturday night playing a round of where's molly, spent sunday on the lounge googling how to sleep with the ha plugged in slumped over the back of the lounge, pick the thing up by the cord and swing it like a dead cat if you want! Toughhhh

I gotta tell you that 90% of my HA use is turned over into glass. Then 90% of my use of my other big hitters is also through glass. I just like water, and will use it most of the time I am indulging at home. The exception to that is when I am in a hurry and my glass isn't yet cleaned. Tho there is always another piece of glass...

Just be sure to get a TonG.

That's great to hear...i'm the same, it's rare for me to vape without a water tool. I'm starting to lean more toward the Elite, simply because of what i've been reading about the tong not fitting the 2.2 just right or whatever. Seems like the new Elite mouthpiece is a huge improvement in both crucible management as well as a better ability to mate with 14/18 glass pieces.

How happy are you with the effects of turning the HA upside on to a bong via tong? My biggest fear is that I will get only skim milk, and i'll be trying and trying to get thicker more satisfying hits only leading to frustration.

I just wanna know why the HA is way better than a Solo and gong if you take the whip, bags, and pump out of the equation? I know the HA is a dedicated plug in, so that is an advantage there, but also a disadvantage overall depending on needs.

What turns me on about the HA:
Plug in
Bombproof
no glass parts
no need to grind
fast heatup
affordable
warranty/support/track record
airflow?

What turns me off:
Mixed reviews on efficiency - alot of what i've read has screamed "works better with more" so weed hog?
Mixed reviews on cloudage, but consensus seems that it's not a huge cloud maker
no need for bags/whips/pump but whatever (bonus)
lack of temperature range (max is only 400?)
shutoff timer

Will the HA be much better for me than a Solo? Or if the HA isn't the right one, is there anything comparable?

Vapor bonging only and I have used both solo and HA extensively this way the HA milks better, I wish there was more temp, as for efficency it works with small loads as well but you can load a lot, use your solo gong and load small bowls, from what I have seen I can't conceive the solo working better and giving bigger clouds through a bong.

Wiegh up all what you like, and how it rates. Plenty of other plug in units that do better in a bong, but then you have to grind, or probably have glass. Log vape with NONG maybe?
