OF, I'm wondering, have you ever tried to finish a load quickly? Perhaps you ALWAYS leave it idle for long times, and that is why you're not noticing the efficiency difference.
I'll say again, because of the large amount of conduction going on when this great convection vape is idling, it is a bad idea to leave product in there if you care about efficiency.
Yes I have. In fact that's exactly what I did, loaded a small enough load so I could 'wolf it down' in a few minutes (after letting it idle first) as the most accurate measure of THC content I can think of off hand. As best I can estimate first hit taste is all that suffers, THC content is the same. The medicinal effect is basically the same as with a similar load that didn't idle.
Where is it you think the THC escapes to and is never recovered?
I believe there's a very small loss (if any) involved, same as has been reported with stem vapes overnight. I believe I've done objective testing and confirmed that.
And no, as I said before, I don't habitually let it idle. It does happen sometimes, I noticed no subjective difference (the 'shoot, I forgot it again' thought is followed by 'this is still working') which is what lead to testing the effect. Several times now. I think the test is valid, and the results clear. I don't recommend the process, but don't fear it either.
