I can answer that. If you're doing direct draw with the stock mouthpiece, and without using a whip, the heating chamber is very close to your mouth. The vapor is still relatively hot when it hits your throat. In my house, multiple users reported a sore throat after a direct draw session. After I noticed the same thing on myself, we started attaching a long glass mouthpiece for direct draw usage, and the sore throats disappeared.
For the best experience with the HA in direct draw, I recommend using a whip or a glass mouthpiece that extends the distance between the heater and your mouth, and allows the vapor to cool before hitting your throat.
Not saying the HA isn't good for direct draw, because I use it that way often. But straight out of the box, with the stock mouthpiece, the vapor can be too hot for many people.
This also explains why its possible for a vaporizer to be amazing through water, but not so great in direct draw.
Me too! I even prefer the whip material to most others silicon whips (except maybe 7th floor tubing). The whip size, material, and mp have never bothered me like it does with some other people
I didn't see anything in the US, Canada was the closest I could find. Anyone else?Hello All
Does anyone know of a USA supplier, who carries the H2.2 Glass Adapter (TonG)? Any help appreciated.
Thanks!
Like you said it should actually fit into 18mm, it would be loose though and the mp would tip out easily. If you're getting air leaking through and have a silicone whip you can cut a little off that to put on the mp and get a better seal with the glass.I thought my standard 2.2 mouthpiece would work with a 18mm bubbler, but it was to big. I then went and got a 18-14mm adaptor and it worked, but there is air leakage. Just want the full experience with the TONG ASAP
Ended up getting the silver surfer vertical water adapter. The black hose adapter that comes with the HA fits pretty snug into it, but if I cover the other end of the hose I can tell it's not airtight. I didn't see any vapor escaping and it sure doesn't feel like any escaped. I might cut a little off a silicone whip and just put that around where the hose and glass adapter meet, but I'm pretty happy with it as it is. I'm especially happy I can use my crucible again, I was always ocd worried about that. Thanks for the help everyone, once again this forum improves my vaping.
Thank you.... all the way through August!
Totally understandable. I had my h3 for a couple of months while I kept using my old one. I didn't start using it until I was unpacking all of my vapes after a 3 month thc break. Still have it packed away, can't give it away like some of the others. My new H3 Lite arrived yesterday. It's beautiful...so pristine! Not that my H2.2 is dirty...but it will be 3 years old by the end of this month and has been my only vape since. It might seem silly, but will probably wait awhile before using the newness off this H3. Got a great deal on the unit and accessories with the promo code mentioned above and finally have a back-up that I KNOW I'll enjoy at least as much as the H2.2. Guess I'm a creature of habit.
Using my HA Elite tonight! I almost unboxed my original HA2.1 as well but decided on just the Elite this time.
If i am bored i will throw a whole nug in and just casually vape with the whip. makes me cough quite a bit but the taste and effects are great!
My favorite way to use it is through water with a heat soak!
Super thick and tasty vapor!
I usually use a glass planet vape adapter but it is packed away in a box somewhere....
My technique:
Heat to 200C and let heat soak till the outer shell is warm.
Grind up some bud and add about 0,5g to the crucible.
I then add a basket screen on top of the load with just enough space for it to move around a bit. This is to ensure the load is close to the heater at all times!
Pop the adapter onto the bowl and place on my WT.
Add base unit and allot to heat soak for a while, takes some practice to get your sweet spot!
Mine is around 15 seconds at 200C.
After the heat soak, draw in that delicious full cream milk!
I do this for bags as well but do not use them that much...
When experimenting i did find the HA bags to be far superior in every way to Volcano bags.
More flavor, thicker vapor and off less material.
Some older videos i did of the Elite!
This on is at 200C
This one is at 184C, thinner vapor and better flavor.
EDIT1:
@stickstones
If you have the Elite, try it with your vapor blowing setup!
I am getting some crazy huge hits!!
They will look epic!
EDIT 2:
Since i am using the crucible i am also using all the tools it came with and am finding them awesome to use!!
The PonG is left in my WT and i can remove the crucible with the sleeve tool!
Reload while smoking hot, NO PROBLEM!
I love rediscovering my older vapes!!
Sounds to me like it's not fair to you! It's not fair to my herbalaire how infrequently it gets used ...
