I am not aware of anything in this vape that would suffer from the extra ten degrees. There is some headroom in there for the teflon, which doesn't start to break down until into the upper 400's, I believe.

You did and thank you for that. I couldn't find the post actually and didn't remember the details of the post.

Also, wondering what the +/- 10 means, is it actually temperature in Celsius, farenheit, or some other unit?

I would reprint their email, but need permission for that and they didn't reply to my reply, it's been 2 weeks, maybe they are on a xmas break, otherwise I will try to contact them again, but I assume it's a break as lazylathe mentioned he hasn't had communication either recently.

+/- 10 is in Celsius, regardless of whether you set your unit to C or F. Give it a shot, you really have nothing to lose, except the ability to extract faster.

Thanks again to @lazylathe for measuring the Elite's max temp at +10 Calibration! It only makes sense that i'm satisfied with it set to +10, as it's closer to 215c-220 (from what I can recall from the temp measurement) which is in line with the 210c max temps I use with my Solo, Mighty, and Crafty.

Found my flavor town tonight!
PV GonG with the VapeXHale dry mouth piece.
Temp at 180 and the hits just kept coming!
Awesome dry hits and no coughing or discomfort at all!

Never fails to satisfy!

It's been a little while with both of my hA elites now, and both still keep a massive smile on my face! I'm still BLOWN AWAY! I just can't believe the extraction of this thing!

What should I do for bags? Turkey bags? EQ bags? Is the newer style valve easy to swap the bags with?

Hard for me to grasp why hA includes bags that leak when brand new? What's the point?

I own a Herbalaire Elite which broke down within one week of usage.
I bought a Backup Herbalaire 2.2 and this unit broke down too within one week of usage..

Bad quality. Sorry to say

If by broke down, you are referring to power problems, I have been told by HA themselves that the problems in Europe arise from 'dirty' power that is supplied, especially in England, or in eastern Europe. This could also be a local effect if something draws massive power on the same grid that you are on.

One way around this is using an AC voltage regulator with isobar AC spike and line noise filter. This will avoid the line voltage swings and keep it to within tolerance. I use one for my tv, stereo, pc and all my vapes. You can get a good one here in Canada for ~ $100 or so.

My 2.2 is now in a different room and since, every time I power it on, it start to blink for 1mn before to start to heat, it never does that in my previous room....is it a bad electricity sign or something else?

No power problems here in Germany. Elite unit is not heating anymore. Everything else works.
The 2.2 the led on the bottom started to flicker and made some crackling sounds. after 10 seconds it stopped and now the 2.2 doesnt do anything.

do not give in to report your problems to HA. I'm in the same situation. I hope they work in this direction if they want to sell vaporizers in Europe. There may be poor electrical lines in Europe but there are also vaporizers that work perfectly on them.

@blabau: Did you have to pay taxes oder customs fee in spain for your replacment units from Canada?

Until they resolve the problems with their units the herbalaire cannot be recommended for buyers at least in europe

I'm in France and except the blinking issue I mentionned some posts ago (without any consequences about vaping performances) my 2.2 is working perfectly since January 2013!

This morning I take off a bud from my DIY infuser (thanks to Vapolution for the idea), grind it and load it in my HA, crank to the max and connect to my larger bubbler (very big can!)......the thicker clouds i never got with any vapes, even thicker than smoke...but it was vapor!
I'm impressed how potent is an infused bud, I let a lot of the initial load (in the infuser) so next will be even cloudier if possible!

No, they send the replacements in concept of a warranty replacments with a 25€ value.

As a replacement until my herbalaire(s) will be back (and probably broken again ...) i need a whip vape.

vapir rise 2.0 ultimate or extreme q?
or any other suggestions that come close to the herbalaire or mighty?

Almost there...
Fired up the Elite this afternoon to do some bags!
It was time to give my Lotus a break...LOL!

Since changing my bag system i am still very happy with the mod!
I use Herbalizer bags on a Volcano Easy Valve mouthpiece and some custom silicone adapters!
I also have a silicone adapter for my PV GonG that attaches to the bag.

Doing small loads, 0,05g and getting nice thick, milky bags!
Of course the bag is not full and you have to adjust the timer length but they are tasty and potent!
Temp set at 184 and ABV is a nice and even light brown!

btw. i just got my two replacements Herbalaire Units. I hope these will last longer than one week each... Really like them but ..... we ll see
btw: Great support from Herbalaire Company.

btw. I bought a Vapirrise as a backup (i dont like it very much) but as a backup it is okay.

Welcome back!!! Just picked up the high output Pump! Still LOVING both of my Elite's! :rockon: Gonna try to see what bags I can find that don't leak like the stock. Guess volcano bags?

I have (totally unexpected) changed from whip to bags... Really nice but i empty these balloons way faster than using the whip. I get 5 balloons with grinded herb and slighty compressed herb with a screen on top of it (absolutely necessary when using the balloons imho)

And yes i am back to grinding the herbs.
And after 12 days of heavy usage the HA is still working ;)
