Anyone got the lincig grinder from Amazon? It looks like a lift innovations blade style grinder that is supposed to fix some of the issues.

Yeah that was just posted on the prior page, seems to fix the primary issue of the long delayed wait... Amazon reviews are pretty positive too, wonder what's different? The cut of the blade and filter plates perhaps?

At that price (and even lower with my $25 Amazon gift card that finally came) I am strongly considering it instead of the SLX2.0 that I had been planning on... Same price actually and I am so intrigued by the cutting vs grinding, while SCS 3piece is doing me good otherwise, but also still curious about SLX's ceramic coating... Decisions decisions

Found this on dhgate it looks like another dupe for the lift grinder. Only thing is the blade looks really thick in the pictures, don't know if that would effect the grind

I think what happens to some of these startups and entrepreneurial companies is that they have that 'great idea' with 'completed plans' and somehow Chinese manufacturers end up with their blueprints or they simply reverse engineer their product. I have seen this happen a few times to revolutionary products, that upon their release simultaneously must combat a host of Chinese pirates selling some version of their product. Too bad this happens but it does and it is more all of the time.

The odds are this kind of activity will kill off 'Lift Innovations' Lift Innovations is just a few Canadian kids trying to make a buck. They had the greatest idea for grinders in a very longtime. From the looks of things it looks like they could be the latest victims of this nefarious pitfall from Chinese manufacturers.

Business is business, and if you can't properly supply demand then someone else is going to jump on that demand.

It's not theft according to the Chinese government. Again lack of supply creates demand.

The Chinese would have destroyed the American glass blowers if any such thing would be true. Look over at our cheap bubbler glass thread.

Then my copyright friends, ask there how many of the copy buyers eventually ended up saving that extra buck for getting a piece of glass worth some real money.

A lot of those, if it was not for trying and or even knowing the copy first would never have known/bought any such thing...

Way I see it: here is some free commercial for Lift, because the Chinese already copying their mechanism, with cheaper materials, shows the mechanism works even with cheaper materials. Only the Lift ones will offer the finish and materials they use...? Might be a way of viewing it?

I don't want to choose sides here, and definitely don't want to stand up for Chinese business practices in general. But, it's not just disregard for international law here. A lot of it is cultural differences, and can you really blame the Chinese or any other Asian/South Asian countries? Check out European Imperialism in Asia - especially in the 19th century. That's when it gets really bad. But, even before that China and the rest of Asia was being taken advantage of by many Euro explorers and merchants. Or, do you believe in international law enough to think they ought to be able to sue Italy for claiming to be the inventors of pasta?

I totally agree with what @tepictoton says above. Let them produce crap for cheaper prices and let people who want cheaper products for cheaper prices buy it. This is one of the new rules of a global economy whether anyone likes it or not. I'll choose to do that for some products (like bubblers), but not for many if I can avoid it. I certainly steer clear of Chinese products whenever I can for anything made of metal or with any kind of paint on it, just for safety sake.

However I think pre-grinding before heading out is the way to go.

I think that would be so small as to be entirely a gimmick?

Pre-grinding and filling a doob tube or other container would be much easier I think.

Have you seen the GH feeder on eBay?

Says "made in USA". However, I read the reviews on Amazon. Not sure if it is even worth the 10$ ny their accounts. The company/place that makes them seems low profile. Didn't find where they are at. Maybe the label was "made in USA".

If the Rocket grinder makes it easier to fill with it's special hole that would be helpful, But the inside threads near the bottom look like an area where particles will stick.
Good idea that needs more tweaking. I also think it needs to be the next size up. Or it will be hard to turn with thicker nugs.

The smaller parts need to be a little larger and easier to keep together. I would even have it compatible enough to stick on the end of a doob tube, like a plug end.

EDIT - just saw the vids. it is larger than I first imagined. . which is good.

I have, it looked good but there was concern of plastic threads getting into the ground material. I'm aware that this is solvable by looking in the device and removing stray threads but I'm not to keen on the device to be honest.

I won't be getting one for the simple reason that I'd prefer to pre-grind with a proper grinder at home and then use a doob tube or equivalent whilst out and about.

I was just mostly posting it as I hadn't seen it on here before so thought I'd share.

Yeah I raised those concerns, and I still have them, though for occasional use I don't think it's much of an issue. @JoeMama sanded his back, which would probably be a good idea, but I only use it if I'm out in public so I don't have to handle loose material. I've probably used it only a few times since I want to minimise the potential of vaping plastic.
Plus, I prefer packing chambers normally, as I can get more control over how much I'm using per hit.
Knowing how much is loaded would probably be an issue for the rocket grinder too.

I as well do not use the Feeder much... only if I'm going to be out where I have to load stealthily.

Not because I don't trust the Feeder, but only because I like the ritual of manually filling the chamber.

I've had the Lift Innovations grinder for a few days. It changes everything. After 5 really tough months of waiting, I can say it was worth it.
Instead of being a real chore, I can now grind up tiny amounts. This means it's easy to vape one strain, and then grind another strain and have another session. All without cleaning a grinder.
But I think the best part is the uniform cut. I've got four strains here, and they all taste and vape differently with this grinder, than with the old style that just mushes everything.
For the first time, I can try one strain and then another without a hassle.
Also, I've found that with my previous grinding habit, I was filling huge bowls in the Mighty, and not getting high. Now with small bowls, I can finish it knowing it's completed, and move on to the next bowl. I just find I'm getting way higher.
These are my habits. But they were encouraged by the archaic design of the typical grinder. This thing was way worth it.
The photos are of what I would call a medium sized bong hit.

I'm interested to know how often it needs cleaning? And if the blades are sharpened?

The blades are not sharpened. It just uses the edge of the blade moving past the stationary body to cut. I'm surprised how uniform it cuts.
Also, it works better with a back and forth, rather than turning in one direction.
So far it appears that cleaning is not something that has to happen very often. I've used it for a dozen grinds, and it's clean.
The big benefit is that it's immediate. I dreaded grinding. Now I look forward to it.
