Looks like a job for!
I can't believe I've already gotten a response from SLX Grinders on a weekend. They wanted me to send in a picture and they will examine it. Then they will send me the damaged replacement. They responded within the first couple hours - wow!
SLX responding quick and trying to make it right, will keep me as their customer.
If / when they make a 3.0 I definitely will try it out.
As another user reported, my replacement SLX parts wore out similarly to the originals, tho not as bad.
Honestly if they just made the lips where the moving parts contact and the threading be a traditional hard anodizing they would have avoided this issue in the first place.
Admittedly that dual coating process may not be easily possible.
The grind consistency, and amount of turns it takes to fully grind is very fluffy and smooth.
The hole and tooth spacing and shape is very very good IMO.
