So, I called the distributor today. Didn't ask for any proprietary info, just some basic meaningful product descriptions.

Is this Vic Firth grinder easy to clean?
Can you vary the grind from fine to coarse?
Are these the same people that make drumsticks?
Thanks

It looks similar to the Mendo design, tooth wise. It should cut through herb pretty easily, but it won't give you a fine grind-not enough cutting edges.WatTyler said:Has anybody on here ever seen or used this design?

It's not a Mendo, but the teeth are the same shape-only two sharp edges for cutting (back and front), and after the initial slicing, the teeth just go round and round, without encountering any new material to grind. At least that's my experience with the little 1.5" Mendo. That Futurola may have a better tooth layout though, for moving the herb around as you grind.chucku said:max said:It looks similar to the Mendo design, tooth wise. I did not know Mendo made plastic grinders.
Definitely let us know what kind of a grinding job it does.WatTyler said:Well we shall see.
