One more piece of evidence.Yep, just another tool, and tools need a little love once in a while.

interesting.FYI, VDN (Berlin) is selling a knockoff of the BCG for a fraction of the price.
I've ordered one and it came real quick in the mail (3 days), as usual with VDN. Here's what you can expect :

It's made in china (obviously) out of 6063 AL. (The same alloy used for the Krush grinders). The friction ring is said to be POM so iso safe.
It's 62mm in diameter and dosen't have a centering geometry for the grinding parts like the BCG have.
Only a medium plate is offered, teeth are different from a BCG but the teeth and hole pattern is very similar.
Magnets are strong, it nicely slap together.
Tolerances are not as tight as something like the Krush Kube (can't compare with the BCG 'cause I don't have one).
Surface finish looks sandblasted (very finely grainy), not slick like the Krush grinder . I'll let you know how the hash buildup, I've just received 20g of sticky stuff.
The top logo looks printed rather than laser engraved so i'll try different solvents to get rid of it.
Apart from light machining marks in the grinding plate, its pretty well finished. I had to Lightroom the last picture to make the marks more visible. It comes with a nice synthetic velvet pouch, a scrapper too small to be useful, and a tiny brush that can attach to a keyring.

the grey is nice (pictures don't do it justice), but I kind of regret not getting the black. It would have been easier to see if there was AL shavings…
There's also a titanium version at 200 €………
interesting.
as a fellow german i was struggeling to get a good grinder as Old Mate, Odins Grinder or BCG are either not available here or cost a fortune to import.
i want a stainless steel 3 part grinder but didnt find one on their page, just the titanium one and the ceramic and aluminium versions.
anyone have tested those Cuboo grinders and can vouch for or against?
ok i checked them VDN website and called their support, they dont have a 3 piece stainless steel grinder from Cuboo, just 2 and 4 part ones. would have to settle with a titanium one for 199 Euro, which...well, is spicy.
what is the hive minds opinion on ceramic(ish) grinders? i mean they are just ceramic coated, right? is this > than aluminium in your opinion?
If you're based in Germany then I would look to the Stona grinder/mill instead if you're concerned about the materials being used.interesting.

yes, that one is on my list as well and i will prolly buy it. i am opting to get a 3 piece grinder for traveling/ when i am outside too.If you're based in Germany then I would look to the Stona grinder/mill instead if you're concerned about the materials being used.
Budget friendly will be aluminium.i will try to get a budget friendly one tho and that is where material is a concern per se.
In almost 500 previous pages this may have in fact been covered, but i will ask anyway and apologize in advance. I want to ask about a good herb grinder that allows me to do different levels of coarseness etc. Durable and accept a fair size bud and not have to break it up first.
In my mind $50 should be a good threshold price wise. Suggestions?
At $75 the Kactus Kutter does multiple whole buds easily, leaves fibrous stems behind, and has selectable coarseness plates. In almost 500 previous pages this may have in fact been covered, but i will ask anyway and apologize in advance. Whats a BCG? i may be off with my threshold on thisl thanks for the reality check.Don't think you'll find what you're looking for at that price really (and as an example I think you always have to break it up first when loading the grinder, even with BCG where people use center post etc. not my style)
I will check that out, Thanks! At $75 the Kactus Kutter does multiple whole buds easily, leaves fibrous stems behind, and has selectable coarseness plates.

wow that is some nice stuff.Brilliant cut grinder... It might be worth skimming through the thread so you can see what is popular now
wow that is some nice stuff.
I have both medium and coarse plates for my large size BCG, and I have settled on using the coarse plate all the time. Aside from being easier to actually grind/use, as Snacks said, it can also do a finer grind by doing a turn or two upside down.wow that is some nice stuff.
I believe they have a good sale on right now until 28Feb., but really no factory seconds listed on hand right now.they have many discount sales, next big one will be 420,
