My new SCS 3 piece was supposed to be delivered today-----not.
I must have checked the porch 100 times today
Wasn't sure which image to use.. So here are both.

It cuts through dank/wet material better than the scs, imo. Scs is my daily grinder and makes a wonderful, fluffy consistency but it doesn't handle the sticky icky as well as the mendo lol.

edit: by 'sticky icky' i dont mean top-shelf, just herb that could perhaps use some drying out.

Both made of the same material as well? :\

Are they the same diameter?

Almost. The mendo is ever so slightly larger. About 1/2 a cm. I have (and recommend) the double-thick model that's heavier and sturdier with a knurled grip.

It's a nice change of pace from the sleek, luxurious style/feel of the scs.

I believe so? Not sure. I think it comes down to the tooth design. I understand the skepticism though. I love em both. SCS for dry, MM for wet. That's what works for me.

@Deja Vu That shouldn't matter much. The design of the teeth and the size of the grinder (larger diameter gives better grip and more torque) will make the most difference in turning resistance.

Interesting! The mendo looks nice as well, I considered that one before this thread convinced me to give the SCS a try.

The burly grip on the MM is probably what makes the difference then! I do think the tooth design is smarter on the scs so its most likely that.

If I could only have one it'd definitely be the SCS 3pc. It's really all you need. I just like having a 2pc as well for some variety/odd jobs.

I get where you are coming from, and I am thankful that I went with the grinder with what most people say has the best teeth!
I wonder if a larger SCS would help you get through more dank herb? The larger area would give you more turn momentum and grip when shredding through it. Not that it matters since you have the trusty mendo, but still a thought..

My large SCS cuts through grams of sticky dank with little resistance.

SOON......NOW.....AWESOME!
My SCS 3 piece arrived and now I see what all the fuss is about.
Quality built and quality anodized. Smooth grind action and smooth threads.
My Denver Broncos grinder is decent but this is MUCH better action and grind.
With quick grind it was still a little bigger pieces than I wanted so tilted upside down and
then did "rolling wheel" grind and it looks perfect.
I added a tiny amount of Grinder Grease to the threads and it was stickier action so wiped
most of it off. My Broncos grinder needs the grease or it's very choppy threading. Without any lube these threads are so smooth.
Magnet is very firm vs Broncos which also says it has a rare earth magnet but it must not be
as rare as the SCS ;)

It's a little taller and a little wider than my ideal size but is fine. I don't grind a lot at a time.

Those with SCS mini and small---is mini ground herb size the same as small? Are teeth the same
size and pattern, just less of them?
I'll try to attach pic showing my grinders.

Can't attach??? I have it in my documents but can't find url to enter, it won't copy and paste??
