Thanks but I really like the 4pc for that flower storage compartment.

What was he talking about?
SCS=Santa Cruz Shredder. I'm after a 4 piece SCS in either the mini or small size (Planet Vape and other retailers call this medium).
Is there anyone out there who has had SCS 4 part grinders in both the mini and small sizes who can comment on whether there is any difference in the grind fineness, consistence and fluffiness between them? Also any difference between these in how easy it would be to pour a small amount (a solo stem or Thermovape T1 bowl) into a Jyar or T1 bowl?
I realise that the mini probably won't turn as easily, especially with more moist buds, but this probably won't be an issue for me.
Cheers

Wow, @Zookeeper ! Where can I get one?
There is no difference in grind fineness between my mini 2 piece and my large 2 piece SCS units, if that helps. Also id suggest one size up from the mini (whatever the smallest SCS makes since the size name can differ) unless you really need something ultra compact for travel.
Also this.
One size up from the mini is the small. Then it goest straight to large, then jumbo.
Whoops, my mistake.Yes, I know. However as many have found out a lot of retailers dont stick to that nomenclature. For example, I ended up with a "mini" because the e-tailer I purchased from listed it as a "small".
Unless you buy direct from SCS you need to pay attention to the diameter measurements rather than going off the name.
That should help if the retailers still post the dimensions.Santa Cruz Shredder Grinder Sizing Chart:
- Mini – 1⅝” Diameter
- Small – 2⅛” Diameter
- Large – 2¾” Diameter
- Jumbo – 4″ Diameter
Ok, I am not gonna read the entire thread. I am looking for a grinder that really grinds the stuff up fine. Will the SCS get the job done? Or is there something better.
My 2p Space Case was the last grinder I bought. Might snag a Santa Cruz but I don't really need it...Hello there, 1st post.
I just finished reading this entire thread over the past week, as a sort of personal triumph (165 pages!). It has been very informative, for sure, but the real treasure was reading about 6 years worth of industry trends. The biggest thing I took away was: SC has been the number 1 or 2 brand the entire time. So, that's what I opted for: a medium 2pc Ti SC (and a MFLB Finishing Grinder).
