there's only 1 reason, redesigning the whole case with a durable battery door is expensive
Right. I had planned to add the beginning of the real list as I envision it. Decided against it for fear of retribution. But the case redesign would have been #1 on my list.

In no disrespectful way, why would there have been any expectation of a removable battery, considering the (current and historical) Healthy Rips product line :hmm:?

The most recent (and possibly only?) Healthy Rips device to feature a removable battery was way back with the FIERCE and it's proprietary battery, with all subsequent releases (EDGE onwards) having an internal, non-removable battery. Understandably it's an issue to many people here, but it's like complaining that the Arizer Solo line has non-removable batteries - it's definitely a valid concern, unfortunately falling on deaf ears. The company made their decision to stick with these designs years ago and that's unlikely to change for a small subset of enthusiasts.

If you want a removable battery around that price point and you live in the US, you do have options, like the Lobo (which, if it were readily available outside of the US, would be a no-brainer over this). Outside the US however, not so much, since international shipping makes otherwise comparative options far too costly. The only one that comes to mind is the XLUX Roffu, but my experience with the V3 Pro pushed me away from XMAX/VAPE/LUX/whatever they are calling themselves

My only real gripe with this vaporizer, personally, is the continued lack of on-demand capability. I'm sure that the heater is strong enough, it's just not something that they seem to care about implementing. Not a dealbreaker for me really, but it would be a nice feature to have.

Hi and thank you so much for your reply! We hear you about the glass stems that insert through the attachment and down into the chamber. We will seriously consider adding that option for our future productions. For the ROGUE 2, we made a decision to make the glass ecosystem backwards compatible with our previous ROGUE models. We felt that this would be more appealing to the masses that already have ROGUE glass accessories - as all of them will work on the ROGUE 2.

The mouthpiece actually looks really good on the Black Chrome finish. The pictures make the chrome look lighter than it actually is. The finish is a dark/black chrome and matches the mouthpiece and the buttons nicely. It is very difficult to photograph chrome to show its true color. I'm not going to lie, this ROGUE 2 is sexy! :)

All the best,
Teece - HR Team
personally i think hr made a wise decision to make rogue2 backward comparable with the older rogue. i am really wanting to see this oven/heater upgrade.
all this neg. talk about not having a replaceable battery. s and b has been doing it for over 8 to 10 yrs, i think. you can charge this unit while using. a good thing. the rogue, i use with my girlfriend is a little beast and works really well with wpa and bongs and j-hooks and other 3 rd party cooling pieces. if you handle the lipo battery with knowledge and respect and charge it correctly you can see 3 years (maybe much longer) before major desegregation. me and my girl have been using hers for nearly 3 years now, still lasts 1/2 day without a charge, 5 or 7 bowls. for the money i bet this rogue2 will rock the clock when compared to potv one and lobo.

I'm hoping that means I can keep using my BB6 with it then! I too am looking forward to the new oven, since I found out I have a slight sensitivity to SS the Ti upgrade should eliminate any throat tickle I get.

I think the installed battery is mostly an issue for the heaviest of heavy users, and based on my experience with the OG Rogue, I would think that this device probably isn't for them. This doesn't play in the same space as the TM or FW, and I think a heavy portable with swappable batteries or one of the beefier analog vapcaps (Tempest / Anvil / TA / Dani) would work better for someone who's reaching for a portable for 6+ bowls a day. I found that the Rogue was good for a single-capsule session or two per day.

Also, particularly since it's session mode only, I'd call it hybrid (convection + conduction + radiation) heating.

I pulled the trigger on the rogue 2 a couple days ago. Should be here Friday.

I'm a daily user, but I think this will be a great on-the-go portable for me. I'm a pro musician and will mainly use the rogue 2 on set breaks. For at home I've been satisfied with the solo 3 lately.

I considered a TM2 but after using the solo 3 the past few months I don't think the refillable stem type of vape is good for reloading in between sets. Those things get 🔥

I had a fury and an edge years ago but replaced those with a v3pro that's been my gig vape for the past few years now.

anyway, I think this rogue 2 will be great for my specific use-case. And I'm sure it will be great for beginners too.

I will miss the on demand mode I've grown accustomed to, but with a more powerful heater I bet t can clear a small load in a couple hits with the rogue 2. I'll report once I give it a few sessions!

i'm able to use session vapes like an 'on demand' vape . i do that same method with my angus enhanced, avlp, nectar hex, starry 4 and will try it with the enso which has huge bowls and cups. i heat up my dose in oven, a little hotter than i normally would, then take 3 slow long hits and turn-off the vape and be able to take 2 or 3 more hits before oven cools-off too much. put vape away and turn on again for another round when i want it.

great to hear, thanks!

I was hoping the titanium oven wall will cool off a bit quicker than other metals, and thus possibly preserving the herb a tad for the next session. (But in general I'll be emptying the oven while hot after a few hits to keep it from sticking)

Healthy Rips simply posted a feature and explained what they thought the benefits are. This is Marketing 101.

I didn't have any expectations and I didn't bring up the issue. Healthy Rips brought the elephant into the room.

This is a strange bit of reasoning. You were the one who made it an issue.

I suspect that you don't own a Rogue and have never tried one. I'm not sure why you're in this thread stirring the pot, but it's time to stop.

still waiting on it

I chose UPS thinking it was more reliable in my area, but it went out ups ground and is therefore strapped to the back of a snail.

it tracks as arriving to my city yesterday at like 1:30am, but for some reason it isn't gonna be delivered until Tuesday? idk what's up with that.

btw I'm planning on putting one of those brocolli rubber bands on mine to gve it a little more grip in pocket. I'm a little worried that, like with my old fury and edge, that the latex cover will stretch a bit over time, allowing for the mouthpiece to pop off the unit with the case. Hopefully that won't happen with this smokestack shape, but I have a feeling it will eventually open in my pocket

Mine is supposed to be here Tues.
I will mainly use it at home. Still have not found what works best for me but I am pretty sure this will be my main device.
I am in pursuit of the cleanest way to enjoy this beautiful plant.

I'll be waiting for first impression reports. I'll share mine tomorrow night. There are no reviews yet.
I had my eye on a Lobo for months but I couldn't get POTV to work with me when I wouldn't share my ID for age verification. (I'm 59)
I came across the HR line and tracked the progress to the SE. I decided to see if I could order from their site and discovered the brand new Rogue 2 was just released. Done.

Did it require much factory burn off?
I feel like a kid peeking before Christmas.
i did 2- 3min burn offs. charge it first though, esp a li-po battery.

i really love the titanium bowl. so far had only 3 bowls. bowl size about .14g.
i found 385f setting to be a nice sipping temp.
when using their rocket stem/ball'er mp stem, i found it to be a very nice, effective, cooler stem, esp. if you don't like warm vapor. i don't. lol
i mean, it really does the job and seems to bring out those wonderful terpene flavor.

the rogue2 controls and manual are very nice and accurate to follow.
R2's larger ss heater is said to be 30% stronger than the og and it's seems it is, a little beastie,. lol
i haven't put the R2 vape in to a heavy use trial, yet, cause i'm trying all those R2 glass accessories.
i like the 3d dimpled glass stem too, it cools vapor better than i thought it would. really glad i got one, for sure.
their black chrome body is sultry, shiny looking and was surprised how good it feels to hold.

btw- did 2- 3min sessions at max heat burn-offs and the rouge2 unit was only slightly warm, from bottom to top of the unit. i was shocked.
HR must have increase their heat transfer insulation, because it very effective, more than og rogue se.
glad, i got the rogue-2, it's a real treat.

Will you grab a picture? I’m curious how that black chrome really looks since they said it’s darker than the pictures on site.

how is a cell phone pic gonna show the finish better than HR's professional photos? I believe the main issue is that the finish reflects whatever is nearby. So you'll probably need to have it in hand to see it's true color with your own eyes.

the hr pro pics are pretty accurate. i'll try later, but i agree with NoLogo. i need a new phone, my cell's camera is only 5meg. so, i'll try to borrow my ex-hubbys' phone, he's got a good one. he'll be by soon i hope.

I am thoroughly enjoying my Rogue 2.
It is very nice.
I like it.
It makes me happy.
I want to marry it.
...the more I look at it...it sparkles in a subtle way. The sparkling mind is liking this very much.
Yes, it is good...and because it is good, I should not be writing from this dimension...
I shall return...

Rogue 2:
"Stop touching me!"
Me:
"But You feel so good! I must touch you! I must"
My Neighbors:
"I told you he was weird."

Ok, seriously, the figit factor on this is um, really high. It just feels right.
It gets warm, not hot.

The Baller Stem is also what I expected. Serious cooling.

I took it through 5 pre loaded capsules with a neighbor around a camp fire.
4 in the tube, 1 in the chamber.
I had a second tube for the spent capsules.

Back home, been sipping all night.

This is the device that does what I need to go smokeless.
I still get to play with the buds. Instead of rolling joints its grinding and loading capsules. I love the process.

i find R2 to be the perfect on the go vape. some say bowl can fit .2 or .25gram, i find .15g is perfect amount for a 4min session (240sec). if i use .07g 3min is almost too long at 375f for sipping- a micro dose. very nice.

their little water bubblier works good but i'm more of a dry cooling girl.
i took their 80mm plain glass stem (included) in their standard vape package and modify it with several 6mm Cubic Zirconia grade 5 Gems and hand-cut pressed into a concave screen to fit on each end of glass stem to hold gems in place. it's a wonderful cooling modification, maybe equal or better than their ball'er glass stem accessory.

btw- any 12mm od stem will fit as a mp. even some dynavap stems, potv stems and maybe some solo stems will work too.
the glass wpa, i need to try it with on my 7in j-hook and my old 8in water bong.

anyone else got their Rogue2 yet? please post your experiences, in detail.
we all should be impressed with the R2, really. well maybe not all, all. lol
Rogue2, not having a replaceable battery, is not the decider opinion for me, because there are several killer portable vapes that are like that.
oh, you can use it and charge at the same time. H.R. had it built that way for this exact purpose. they did well.

also, somebody will find a way to make a teardown/battery replacement video, sometime down the road, i'm pretty sure.
