Okay, I just used the POTV One Accessory Attachment on my Fury 1 with the included glassware.
Just to be clear given some comments,
the advantage to me is that I can use glassware without having to remove it while it is hot. Healthy Rips confirmed that leaving the glassware inserted into the
chamber was bad for the Fury and would distort the chamber. This is because the chamber swells with heat and shrinks with cooling.
Second problem with the Fury and glassware is thus that the glassware gets stuck in the Fury if not removed while hot. This produces three big user problems: 1) If the herb is good, the user forgets to remove it, 2) if the user removes the glassware, it is hot and the user will often burn themselves, and 3) if the user forgets, then in order to reload with more herb, the user must heat up the Fury AND the glassware, causing the glassware to be hot at the exact time they want to reload the vape - so more burns, or else sitting around waiting for the glassware to cool AND using up an additional cycle of the battery.
I posted all this in this thread, requesting an Accessory Attachment for Fury just like the Fierce Accessory Attachment - which solves all these problems for the Fierce. No reply from HR. Marketing people always love better features for the more expensive product.
So, when I saw POTV had created a Fury Accessory Attachment, I ordered one on the first day, and it arrived today.
First impression - the included short straight glassware seems to do the job adequately. I ran two cycles at 430 F (max temp) one right after the other. (This would make a Fury with the standard Fury mouthpiece quite hot to the touch, and during the second cycle, even the mouth end of the standard mouthpiece gets hot to the lips.) With the Accessory Attachment and included glassware, everything is cooler even after two max temp cycles.
So, for me, no hot mouthpiece, and no need to remove a hot piece of glass or try to fill the end of a narrow piece of glass with little bits of herb. So, BIG plus on all that, especially for $15.
I also ordered the Curved Glassware. Unfortunately, it is barely longer than the included glassware. But given the above, it might be long enough for cooling. It's not long enough to allow you to see the display right side up (which is why all the recent Fury's and the One allow flipping the display in software). Besides being curved, which creates a more convenient position (many famous vapes include built-in mouthpieces pointed towards the user), it is also opaque and black, so that people also have a style option. It does look more 007 with the curved black glassware.
The one disadvantage of the Accessory Attachment is that it entirely covers up the Green and Red lights. I was not expecting this. So, when used with a Fury, there are no lights and no "haptic feedback". I much prefer the Red and Green lights - but - I
WAY prefer the Accessory Attachment to not having it.
So, I will wait to see if HR's noises about a "Fury 3" might include a Fury Accessory Attachment that allows the lights to be seen. (I have two Fury 1s, so another Accessory Attachment would be fine.)
FYI - POTV Accessory glassware is
roughly 0.35 inch ID and 0.97 inch OD. If that matches some pre-existing glassware that can be used with 430 degrees F, that would be interesting information.
UPDATE: I tried the curved glassware and the vape is at a more convenient angle, sticking out the side. You can then turn it over the vape for more compact storage after using.
Second impression - the larger diameter of the Accessory Attachment glassware vs the smaller diameter of the HR Fury glassware is evident in an even easier draw, and more "clouds" (first time I've ever used that term
). Two consecutive cycles got the unit somewhat hot, but the vapor was only pleasantly warm, and the same for the tip of the glassware.
