how well does it do with half a load and come back later to finish it off.
How many minutes from turning on to turn off for a half load? Or would it be better to just not pack all the way. I thought I read the fury does better lightly packed but full.
I use a half load often. The flavor & vape is not as full bodied as with a full oven, but it is still very good and just as potent.
After coming back for another session the taste is (reasonably) not as fresh but it is still decent. As a comparison, if I do that with my Crafty, the taste is downright awful and I usually just choose to cash it out.
I am looking to do 0.05-0.06 gm per dose.
I measured out .05 g last night, which is about half oven, and here is what I got from it:
At 365F I had 5 mostly flavorful hits and then bumped it up to 390F for 3 more hits before it shut down.
Later, I reheated and got 4 more decent hits at 390F, then bumped it up to 425F. I got 3-4 more whispy hits that didn’t taste great, but still better than the Crafty on a second session first hit.
I just make sure I turn it off right before I take the last pull, so that last pull cools down the heater and bowl.
Just as
@Ramahs said, I too take one last draw when I turn it off to cool it down quickly. It seems to help preserve the leftovers.
Has anyone tried 315-320F with the glass MPs on their F2? The flavor at that temp is what I think people are hoping for/wishing for out of this vape. And I still get vapor.
I gave this a shot - and was shocked to see vapor! (Not a lot, but damn, surprised to see any!!)
The flavor was very good, but no different than at 365 (for me). Thanks for the suggestion! Glad I tried it. I may do that low temp more often.
I just want to clarify - I really like the flavor of the F2. I have plenty of vapes that have terrible flavor (that I don’t use anymore) and the Fury runs circles around them. I just think it is not its biggest strength and I want to put it out there for prospective buyers, especially if they are flavor chasers.
Of course flavor is somewhat subjective, so fantastic flavor for one person may be terrible for others. Like Brussel Sprouts - I don’t care how it is prepared, it still tastes awful. If one more person tries to convince me that their recipe will change my view on them, I am going to... well, leave the room, vape a little and try it one last time. (Seriously, what is up with all my friends/family and Brussel Sprouts?)
