I have now owned my Fury 2 for a full year, so thought it was a good time to give an updated review.
Very apropos on the cusp of the Fierce launch (will hopefully have in my hands Monday or Tuesday)
Here is how I have been using (and abusing) my F2 for the past 52 weeks.
I estimate that I use my F2 between 5-20 times a week. Usually on the higher end of that number. (I rotate my vapes quite a bit!)
Battery:
- I almost always wait until it dies before charging.
- When I charge, it is usually overnight. (I don’t monitor when charging - I unplug when I remember.
- I rarely use it more than 2 back-to-back sessions when still hot. I usually wait for it to cool down a bit before plugging it in to charge, but not always.
One year later: I get 7-8 full 4 minute sessions per charge.
Maintenance:
- I have done a “deep cleaning” on the mouthpiece 3 times in the year I've had it. It never really needed it, but was refreshing to see through the sparkling clean glass.
- when using the mouthpiece, I brush off the screen after most sessions. Sometimes I wait until the next time I use before brushing, but it is very necessary, as it can get clogged without a regular quick brush.
- I wipe the MP screen with ISO about once a month.
- I have cleaned the glass stems a couple of times, but really not necessary for anything but aesthetics. The avb falls right out of the stems without need anything more than a tap.
- I brush out the oven after most loads. Sometimes I just blow out the particles and leave it at that.
- when the oven is still warm, I have occasionally used an ISO dipped Q-tip to clean the oven screen. There is a little discoloration on one edge, otherwise, it is shiny and clean.
One year later: maintenance is minimal and one of the easiest I own.
Cons:
the only two negatives I have with the F2, I have has since day one.
- the flavor is good. Not great. Not terrible. Just good.
- the noise thru the air holes bugs me. It is louder than I’d like.
- sorry, just remembered another negative. Even with the cover, it can smell a bit in small spaces if you have a used bowl. For me this is only an occasional nuisance, for others it may be more important.
Bottom line:
- This is the most efficient session vape I own. You can vape as little as you want, or fill up the oven, use at once or come back later. It doesn’t cook herb as quickly as other session vapes. It is as efficient today as the day I first got it.
- This is the easiest vape to share with others - no technique required. Small, intuitive, easy for newbies and smokers. Heats up fast (enough), always get good hits, always feel the effects.
- If I had to choose only ONE vape as my desert island vape (assuming the desert island had power to charge it) it makes me queasy (how could I possibly choose one over my other babies?) but if you held a gun to my head.... I would pick the Fury 2.
A year in and I still HiGHLY recommend this vape to anyone who want an easy-to-use, easy-to-maintain, easy-to-share vape at an easy-to-pay price.
