Just had another email from HR they say they testing two types of firmware before they decide which one works best ... I am curious to see if the new update will change the taste signature as the heater stay at set temp more ? Does it also mean there will be more conduction? Sorry I high and thinking
Ooooh, I like the thought process here.
My guess, yes, it may affect taste for those of us that take larger/longer draws....but not from conduction.
I don't think there's much natural conduction being added now, as-is. A more consistent temp will increase it, but only fractionally if at all. We're all ready sitting at that temp before and in between draws, it's as heat soaked as it will get towards the end of a session.
Taste however, should be affected. If I start a draw at 430f, and it finishes at 360F, what temp was the average temp in that draw? If we use the mean of 395F, an algorithm that held the temp closer to set temp may see a 25F degree increase. Usually enough to change the taste in a convection vape.
So, now you'll be able to turn your temp down to preserve the flavor if that's your goal. Those of us looking for fast sessions can leave it set higher and compromise the taste.
It will no longer take me two sessions to finish a bowl, it will be the larger bowl version of the F2 I thought I was buying!
All hypothetical until they choose the algorithm, but great to kick around.
