Discontinued Haze Dual V3

Has anyone had experience with using cotton and concentrates I. The haZe 2.5? Using it horizontal only and the messy cans is really my only gripe about it. Seems to work great with herb. The price could be lower but the quality coupled with what looks like stellar customer service definitely makes it worth it. Hand written Christmas cards ?!
Yeah I like this company already:)

Welcome to FC and to the Haze thread!

Yes your gripes on the Haze are well documented here and I have to agree. If I know the Haze team they are working away at fixes for these as we discuss.

Regarding your warranty, don't worry. VUSA is an authorized seller so you are covered.

I also understand your perspective on the $350 for a portable vape. However consider that the extra $100 covers UNLIMITED upgrades which means you keep getting a brand new unit, you keep up with the latest and greatest features and most importantly (IMO), your old Haze goes to a great cause! The Pay-It-Forward program gets vaporizers into the hands of folks that really need them and you get the satisfaction of knowing you are helping someone. Hopefully that puts a smile on your face!

I haven't had any big issues so I haven't had to pleasure of dealing with their team much. But from what I hear it seems like they are legit and want to make people happy. So that is why I posted my "complaints" which really aren't that bad but I felt like they should be brought up. Mainly though I feel like the upgrade system should maybe be cheaper considering how much money it will end up being in the end to buy this vape.

Also what's the best water tool kit or system for the Haze? And where do you guys buy your cans? Can you get them cheaper than 11 bucks for 2 or is that the standard everywhere?

Thanks again.

Also @slow-draw-mcgraw that sounds interesting, I would love to hear more about this. I know that the disposable co2 pens use a similar method where the cotton is drenched in the oil and then heated by a coil below the cotton ball. Either that or the pens I was using always blew up all over the cotton ball inside, cause I took them apart to investigate how they worked.

I understand and agree it's expensive but when you consider the technology that when into this, the exclusive features only the Haze offers and what the competition brings at that price point, I think it's appropriately priced.

As for the extra $100 for the unlimited upgrade, I think it's cool as shit that Haze even offers this! I don't know of any of the competition doing this in unlimited terms. Inhalator is/was charging $100 for a ONE TIME upgrade on the 05 to the 05S. Most companies don't even offer an upgrade program. Instead they come up with some new stuff, they are glad to charge you full price for a second unit.

I got all my cans from vaporizerusa.net. @mrweed had/has a coupon code for 20% off that worked for accessories but not the unit.

I believe @Ed's TnT is the only watertool gear available for the Haze. I have a wooden mouthpiece and WonG and love it. There are pictures on his thread.

You could also rig something up pretty easy with some silicone tubing if you wish.

@ryfle I haven't tried it myself, but I heard from a person that has a HAZE said they used cotton. You may want to research a bit more in other threads.

In search of the best terps and smoothest vapor
After a 2 week forced break from vaping due to illness, I am still getting to know my Haze.

So far, I love it with concentrates. Pretty tasty hits and seems to be very efficient. Definitely fit the space I was looking for in a portable concentrate vape. Thanks @Vape Dr. for your insight and comparison to the Persei/Hercules; that perspective helped me a lot.

I have not yet quite got where I want to be with the flowers yet. I'm sure I'll get there; just need to experiment with some of the techniques reported as successful. I've been winging it to date with mixed success. Back to the lab...:science:

Thank you to the great folks on this thread for turning me on to the Haze.

Hi there, I understand this is where I can ask some questions about my new Haze so I'm just gonna let loose: Has anyone compared the two available batteries? I'm not sure if I need more battery juice than the standard 2 batteries provide.
Also, would love to buy a travel kit that would hold a battery, tweezer tool and maybe 4 cans that would be pocket sized. The best thing about the Haze is that this quality of Vaporizing can be completely portable for camping, festivals, etc. A travel kit would make the Haze more user-friendly if you're away all day. Also, different colors of silicone can lids would allow easy preloading of different materials before I leave.
Overall, I love this thing.

Welcome to the thread. The new XL batteries are totally worth it if you like to take the unit out. They do last way longer than the standard batteries (dont get me wrong, the standard batteries provide way above average juice compared to other similar size units). In terms of the travel kit, I know that Haze is working on one but you can also see some alternatives on this thread, earlier pages. You will see pictures as well.

Hope this helps

I, too, found that my cans get messier when I use wax or shatter, and that my friends forget to hold the Haze horizontally after a few hits. To combat this, I place a bed of packed herb on the bottom of the can, then add the concentrate, cover it with more herb, then lightly tamp down so the lid fits. I find this keeps the cans cleaner, and if anybody forgets to hold it right, the herb absorbs it.

I've been using my Haze for about 3 months now and love the thing. However it does have a couple flaws. First being the cans and using shatter/wax; it's pretty messy. You have to hold the vape horizontal or else it tends to leak a little bit around the ovens. Explaining this to friends is kind of lame because naturally they want to hold it vertically and look normal (and almost always end up holding it wrong and spilling precious oils all over the oven area). I find I have to do deep ISO cleaning on the ovens constantly because they get so much residue in them. Any suggestions on how to avoid this? I definitely put the rubber top on snug.

Overall this thing gets great clouds, has decent battery life, looks awesome, and was a great purchase. But it was a bit expensive I feel like at 250. I think a price of 150 or 175 is more appropriate. I like the idea of the trade-up program, but at 100 dollars that means suddenly I've paid 350+ for a portable vaporizer. That seems a bit ludicrous.

Also, on my unit, the glass mouthpiece BARELY fit without any usage at all. It was an absolute struggle to get it in, and taking it out was scary as well (So I took it out for good). The steel mouthpiece is smaller thankfully but both mouthpieces after a couple uses would stick so much I couldn't flip them out anymore. Not sure how many others had this issue, but even after a heavy ISO cleaning it only lasts the first 2-3 bowls before the mouth piece is stuck again. If I let it warm up a lot it will allow the flip, but it would be better if this wasn't necessary because sometimes I'm stoned and have the thing warmed up really hot with a loaded can of wax and flipping the Haze at this point can cause quite a mess.

Anyway, my main questions are: If I bought my Haze from www.vaporizerusa.net is my 10 year warranty and the trade-up program still valid? Where is the best (cheapest) place to buy extra cans? And lastly, what water tools are available for use with the Haze? I'm not trying to spend a lot of money but I really want a water tool!

Thanks a lot guys!

For buying cans I just use hazes website.
http://www.hazevaporizers.com/buynow.html
There 10.99 for two cans. Not really sure were else to get them at since these are exclusive to haze.
As for the water tool found this on ebay
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=161522682613&alt=web
Not the cheapest price point but it saves you a few bucks.
Heres a Tip for the mouth piece, I know it kinda makes it just another thing you gotta bring along with you, but I find that if I just carry a pair of tweezers on me when the mouth piece gets stuck I just tweeze it out enough to grab it then pull it out the rest of the way with my hand. Works every time.

I'd like to announce that I've created the Best of the Haze Vaporizer thread. I've been reading the whole thread so I made the selections. Opinions vary, so don't assume I got them all. I encourage everyone to nominate any post that you feel is helpful. Read How the "Best Of" threads work for details. I'd really like to see volunteers—yes, multiple—to review the whole thread. I bet you'd be surprised what you learn.

pakalolo-stalkers will have noticed that I added the Haze to my signature recently. I've had mine for just over two weeks, but my policy is to use a device for a while before posting. I also wanted to finish reading the whole thread. My quick assessment: great versatile device that stands out with concentrates.

There are a lot of good reviews in the Best of the Haze thread. I don't want to repeat them, so I'll just add my own opinions. Before I do, you should know that I don't like units that heat the load constantly, which the Haze does. Despite that, I'm impressed by the Haze. Anyone who prefers sessions should consider the Haze carefully.

I tried the convection screen first, and to be honest I thought it was average. The screen does introduce some convection, but I think it heats up so there's a lot of conduction as well. The flavour at the first setting (182°C/360°F) was good but not exceptional. Higher settings brought on that cooked flavour that puts me off constant cookers. If this were the only option for the Haze, I'd rank it about the same as the Pax—but it's not.

The Haze comes into its own because you can also use a conduction screen, and the things everyone talks about, the cans. I tried the cans next using some herbs. Aside from taking longer to heat up, I didn't notice a lot of difference from the convection screens. Remember this is just my opinion, however, and I only tried this once. Those with more experience with this combination might get better results.

I didn't keep trying cans of herb because the next thing I tried was some old school Afghani black. Since the Haze handles concentrates, I wanted to give it the toughest challenge I could. Not many devices can handle this stuff well, but the Haze was superb. I thought I'd need to go to the fourth setting (212°C/415°F) but I found that it did the job nicely at the third (199°C/390°F). I also tested with BHO and ISO reclaim. The Haze handled both of them with ease, the major difference from buds being the longer warm-up times. Once up to heat, the vapour just keeps coming. There are a couple of downsides though: concentrates mean more frequent cleaning, and long sessions plus higher temperatures mean more frequent charging. This is where you appreciate having two batteries that you can swap.

The last setup I tried was the conduction screen. Although I'd read about it, I still wasn't prepared for the difference this makes with buds. The vapour seemed noticeably thicker to me than with the convection screen or the can. Of course it got thicker with each higher setting, although I wouldn't recommend that fourth setting with herbs: too harsh and not tasty. I prefer thin low temperature vapour, so the first setting gave me quite enough for my taste. I think most cloud seekers would be happy.

The hand-held portable market is really tough for manufacturers right now. Haze has produced a highly competitive model that would probably do well just as it is, but as we at FC know, Haze not only listens to input, they make changes based on it. When you include the upgrade program (which greatly helps Pay-it-forward, shameless plug) and the customer service on display in this thread, it's hard to see how you could go wrong buying a Haze.

Great review Pak! Now please transfer it over to the "best of" thread as well! There is some unique insight here not mentioned by other users so I think it's worthy.

I guess I'm one of those stalkers because I did notice your signature and was wondering what you thought. I was going to send you a PM to see but now I don't have to.

I also have to laugh about your shameless plug. I never miss an opportunity either. In fact check out my signature block now.

I really believe that more folks on FC would be willing to participate if they knew about this program. There is a lot of love here so I'm just trying to get the word out anyway I can. Much appreciation to you and the rest of the moderators for putting this together. Of course @Vitolo is the man for being a leader in helping folks long before there was an official program. He is a special guy and FC is blessed to have him. I hope folks can appreciate the upgrade program that much more knowing that their old Haze unit will be used to help someone in need.

Dear Haze Owners,

We are pleased to announce that we have officially started the new upgrade program for the Haze Vaporizer. The program allows a low cost upgrade option to all Haze owners. The program also partnered with FC Forum Community with their Pay-It-Forward program.
I am here to weigh in on the first Haze RMA units I have received.
As I study, prior to testing a Haze unit, I am impressed by the though put into the product... right down to the box, that slides open so easily... more than most vapes on the market.
The components all are well thought out, and the materials are good.
It will soon be time to take 4 journeys
Flowers with conduction
Flowers with convection
Wax in the Oil can
VG MMJ Tincture with pads
I will report back with the results of my journey!

Vitolo, go ahead and stick some herb in the can too. It works and keeps everything and clean. I also see this as an advantage for patients who may have difficulty "preparing" for their medication. They could have someone else help prepack the cans and then the patient needs to just drop them in the chamber and turn the unit on.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts!

had a couple question for you guys, i've been noticing on my V2.5 when I turn it on and swivel the latch to reveal the hollow circle its smooth and has a small click witch makes that side start heating up. Then when I swivel it over to the soild circle I noticed the click is a lot more prominent and you can feel the click in your hand a little bit.
So basically a different sounding click for each bowl, and ones a little stronger than the other.
I also notice when I'm switching between bowls that if I go from one bowl's on position to the other bowl's on position that it will indicate that the new bowl I just switched to is up to temp when its really not. I have to swivel the switch to the closed position again and then open it agian for it to start blinking and indicate the new bowl is heating.
I'm just curious if this is somthing normal with all units or if this sounds like something that could be just with mine.
It's not really that big of a deal, it still performs great Im just curious.

Hey how is it going everyone? New here, I tried to buy a Mflb and was out in Colorado found a store with them on the website went in saw it brought home an imposter that would not work, JUNK ordered the haze shortly after. I have only read through 20 or so pages so far. And am convinced I bought a good product, arriving this week I think. I ordered through vapeorizerusa got the free car charger and grinder. I signed up for a Xmas giveaway on it but lost to win a coupon for 15% off. So 211 something!!! With free shipping this I felt like a winner. I plan to use one side for flowers and the other for nicotine, I really like that I can carry one piece. Also I say a gold one and a white would be cool.

I have the v2.0 and mine does the same thing when I switch bowls, the lights don't blink. Until I do it again. Imo it's not a big deal n it hasn't botgered my enough to complain about it. Prob just a little bug.

Donald what voltage do you guys use over there? 110?220? 240? I think the charger is compatible with 220V since there are Haze sellers in U.K. and I never see a specific converter necessary. You may just need a plug adapter and thats all but I would ask the manufacturer just to confirm.

I'm pretty sure it's 230-240v. I've been trying to find pictures of the back of the charger to have a look but have had no such luck, hopefully that is all I need, it would make things a lot easier haha
