I clean my mouthpiece and the air path once every few sessions and I do not experience this sticky mouthpiece issue. Cleaning kit is part of any vaporizer and if you are travelling, you just need to make sure that you have those things (alcohol, brush etc). My Pax also gets sticky the same way unless i keep it clean after several sessions. Now when it comes to wax, it is sticky as it is. No escape from that. When I do wax, I clean it with alcohol after my session. The thing is, cleaning takes less than 3 seconds in total. Any other Haze owner can comment on the time required to clean the bottom of the mouthpiece and the air path. Again, if one day somebody comes up with a maintenance free vaporizer, I will be the first to buy it to give it a shot.

The point is not how great you personally are with maintenance, but how the general public uses and expects these devices to function.

Magic flight was virtually maintenance free, even with heavy wax usage.

I actually felt the MF was not as portable as the Haze, because of needing to disassemble it to carry, without breaking the stem. If you drop the stem on a MF, that is your fault.

But on the Haze, if after 1 session, the stem gets stuck and the device is unusable, or you have to shake it really hard to come out, it seems to lose some portability, or needing to go back to an entire kit to keep it functioning.

altogether , when transporting ?
Have some kind of clip/elastic band or slotted pouch on the
outside of the Haze . Or a case to carry batts and stems/stuff .

Narrow down the vapor path at the bottom end , so
you can only insert the stem 1/3 or 1/2 the way down .
Therefore allowing you to get a good grip to dis-engage
your mp . Or maybe add an edge/lip in the pathway , to
stop the mp from going down further .

You will still need to clean the pathway , just not as often
b/c of sticking .

If a vape " Functions " well , I can work around small
DIY fixes on the early versions . I'm quite familiar with
carrying my stems separate from my portable ...

I always have it outside my unit I've already been through one glass mp and cracked my wood stem

What about having a jagged edge on the bottom of the mouthpiece where it sticks? That would give it much less surface area to get stuck. Something like this maybe- ^^^. What do you think Haze?

What about a hinged mouthpiece witha silicone print at the point it contacts the air path to create a seal. Then for travel it could clip to the side of the unit or maybe inside the door that covers where the carts go. I don't own one of these yet, but plan to. And this seems like a possibly feasible way to solve the issue

If I'm not mistaken I would assume they are going to have a fix that could still hold the mp internally.

Thank you all for the suggestions. They are all valid and worth sharing with our engineering team and matter fact, I just compiled them and submitted it. One of the suggestions were already applied (elevated mtpc stand). It improved the time that is necessary to clean the mtpc but not to the point that we desire. Our goal is to get users to still store the glass mtpc inside the air path without the need for cleaning.

Currently, with stainless steel mtpc, users can go on many sessions without cleaning the mtpc. With the glass one, it requires more frequent cleaning due to the light weight of the mtpc. Our team is working on an improvement that will extend this to the same time frame as the stainless steel mtpc. We will announce this as soon as it is ready but it may take some time.

Thank you again for all your help and support. We will keep listening to your ideas, feedback and apply them into the new versions of Haze as quick as possible.

My Haze gets to put in some miles also and will meet many new family members and lips for the first time. I can't wait to introduce my new addition to the rest of it's family.

@Haze Vaporizers I have drawn out an idea for the MP issue while enjoying my Haze (Although I am fine with how it has always worked) How about something along the lines a lift initiated hinge type system. When the top switch/cover is moved to the side to turn the unit on it in turn is connected to an arm that when swiveled and attached to a piece at the bottom of the draw path slightly lifts the MP. Great in theory but the only problem I could see happening later is this mechanical piece will eventually be over come with residuals perhaps. Just floating ideas is all.

I also wanted to add that another great advantage to cleaning your device regularly is you really get to experience the full spectrum of your different strains or material you use in the Haze. It's like a why would you put racing gas in a Ford Pinto kinda of thinking in my mind ya dig?! Gobble gobble and cheers to all my family here on FC.

Hello FC Folks,

We are proud to announce that the new Haze V2.5 is being released on Monday. The importance of the V2.5 is that it comes with all new temperature settings. We have received many feedback from FC users in terms of providing more usable temperature options and we have applied your feedback into our new V2.5.

The new V2.5 has the following settings:

Setting 1: at 365 F
Setting 2: at 380 F
Setting 3: at 390 F
Setting 4: at 415 F

Please note that these are average temperatures. As you all know, our patent pending Heat Exchange System regulates temperatures based on the consistency of the herb or wax in the chamber for optimum experience. So measured temperatures may vary depending on your usage.

We also had some questions from sellers and from buyers about conduction vs convection at these settings. As you know we provide two types of screens in the package towards these two concepts. The conduction screen users will experience thicker vapor density and more visible vapor at all 4 settings. The convection screen users will experience less visible but more gentle vapor on the throat.

Another new introduction with V2.5 is the new all Stealth Black color of the Haze. We have received very limited quantity of this new color and it is already gone. It will not be available until towards the end of December. We will be posting more pictures on the website and on this forum thread for you guys. All other colors of the new V2.5 is available.

As I always said, your feedback and constructive criticism is extremely valuable to us. So please keep them coming. We will keep working hard on further innovations.

Damn, I literally just bought one of these days before the upgrade was announced
Is their any other differences anywhere aside from the new temperature settings/look?

Although for the few days I've had my Haze I have enjoyed it and am happy with the purchase a few issues have creeped up.. I think due to me living in an extremely cold climate (was -40c last night) and being a very heavy user of concentrate! After one session I had very minor leakage just outside of the bowls just enough to stick against the Stainless Steel Heating Bowl Seal cover. Well when I opened up the door the Stainless Steel Heating Bowl Seal remained stuck on the bowls covering them with the door opened wide. It seems to be connected with rubber nubs/slots instead of screws and stuff so thats why the stickyness pried it off =/ Its too hard to get back on heh I just kinda position it so it covers them when I close it now, kinda annoying!

The other issue I had was once the battery seemed to die super quick and it was struggling to heat up to the 4th temp when I was using it outside for a while (in super cold winter ofc). I need to do more testing on the battery strength in extreme cold though cause I'm not certain as to where the charge was exactly on that battery when I set out that day... it just seemed to struggle/die quickly. This might just be a reality with portables in the extreme cold that I had not thought about.

I should say that outside of the minor issues I've experienced with it I am glad I purchased it, the technology is wonderful. I saw a favourite band last night in a smallish venue and had both cans packed with lots of premium Co2 concentrate and just had myself a really nice time ;D Thank you Haze!

I bought my Haze directly through their website, I don't suppose there is an exchange program for early adopters to get a new version is there?? -_- This thing cost me a lot when it was all said and done with customs fees / shipping / accessories :x

Hello Higgs! Welcome to the club!

The only difference is the color and the temps. I really like the new unit but I also really liked the old unit so I don't think you could go wrong.

Regarding your concentrates question....I never have any but users on this forum have noted that you must keep the device horizontal while in use or you risk it leaking out of the can. This is just how the current cans are designed. I think Haze is working on another can design but not sure if it adresses that issue.

Also don't store your concentrates in the second bowl. The heat put off from bowl "A" while in use is not enough to vape herb in bowl "B" but it is enough to melt concentrate.

I usually swap batteries after two sessions and max at three. I am also not using the highest temp setting since I don't have wax. That would certainly drain them quicker.

I also don't think the cold is having an adverse impact to your battery life. I think it helps it if anything. I know folks who keep their batteries in the fridge to preserve their capacity.

As others have mentioned, just reach out to Haze. They are a class act and and have been quick to address their customers concerns!
