Discontinued Haze Dual V3

O.k. I have finally put the Haze to work, more so it worked me. This is with dry herbs. I had packed all 6 cans ahead of time and got down to business. 4 cans in I was blasted into a vape induced power nap and woke up feeling great. This is not a total review but just my initial experience. Taste and delivery: excellent, efficiency: super, ease of use: instinctual, session length: good, battery life: o.k. (I used up 2 batteries within about 6 hours of pretty substantial use and about 15 or so cans total) cleaning/maintenance: simple.

My initial battery door/latch observation had me noticing that the door was easily bumped and fell open on its own accord for the most part. Once the battery was installed this did seam to help add a bit more resistance to keep the door from popping open. The battery door did pop open a couple of times when I did tap against my Haze to gain access the the mouthpiece. I figured a simple slide/latch on the end of the door at some point would add to keeping the door closed under shock or pressure. I have yet to see how the door will hold up while in my pocket with the battery in the Haze. I plan on testing this out here soon.

I am happy I decided to go with the Haze.

@ichibaneye - does it really take 4 cans to get high, even for someone with a high tolerance? If I couldn't get high from one can I don't think I want to purchase this unit.

As far as what "high" is that is a matter of ones desired level and perspective. So that leaves the world of "high" wide open. I was reading someplace that Mango K and this new hybrid called Williams Wonder-bread are AAA quality. I had a friend over and by the second can was by all means more than pleased by this point. My buddy had to leave and I was in pain and already head over heals, so I had reason to continue. Two more cans later it was nap time and the pain I had earlier on was a distant memory. A far as the Haze is concerned don't knock it or not want to "purchase" it, as it would not be the units fault for not delivering you to your desired destination. That would all be dependent on the quality of what is loaded in to your device no matter who the manufacturer may be.

One does the trick for me. A lot depends on how much you load and the quality of the herb. You get out what you put in.

I totally agree. I have started to look into and play with grind consistency. From what I have noticed so far this makes big differences in vapor quality and content. Now add in how hard or soft a person packs the can and how dry or damp the herbs are you get a wide range of options. While taking into consideration all of what I have said so far and also really playing with my draw timing and fluctuating my inhale/intake speeds I can get pretty substantial visible vapor on my first draw every time. The Haze performs great as far as I am concerned.

So I take it you were working with pretty poor material if it took 4 cans , correct? Do you consume a lot of BHO, making your tolerance very high? I'm just curious why someone has to go through 4 cans to get where they want to be. I realize highs are subjective but wow. Is this a case of low quality, high tolerance, or is this the norm for this device? Reloading material is a big deal to me, if I can't get high off one can I don't want this unit. Just looking for answers, nothing else.

One can was all I ever needed at a time, but with a new device you ended up doing more to play with it you know? I definitely vape more in my indica than I need to sometimes, but that's bc its such a fun experience. And the Haze is pretty fun too!

I actually was with someone who had wax so i got try that in the Haze as well (first time with wax really, looked like some dark homemade stuff, wrapped in wax paper). Really nice heavy hits, even at level 3. Bumping up to 4 and it kept hitting and hitting for a good while, among four people, nicely toasted. And then the coolest part, the wax disappears as you inhale it all!

I understand a concern about many moving/separate parts in a portable, but the Haze is carefully designed and thought out. And you won't get anywhere near this customer support and versatility with something like a FlowerMate! Forshame on WizardPuff, but they're only hurting themselves at this point really...

I am not going to be to specific here but when it comes to quality of my herbs, my home brew/beer, car, food and my body. I only get the best and cleanest when it comes to these things and what I enjoy. I don't cut corners. this is one reason I got the Haze for a portable. I think that you may have overlooked some of the more subtle points in my previous post.

Also as I previously stated loading the Haze is simple. It takes less time to load a handful of cans (if you have pre-ground) then it does to pack a bowl, roll up something and almost no time at all if you have already preloaded your cans. I'd say less than 8 seconds to change out 2 cans and have the Haze preheating. Do you not have about 8 seconds to spare? So reloading is not a "big deal". You need to stop focusing on how many cans I used my fist session, I was excited and went into party time mode so to speak, I celebrated the arrival of my Haze as I felt necessary at the time.

I feel great after just one can> I am not you, so I cannot assume you would get "high" after one can. That being said for the third time or so now, I was feeling super headed onto the second can.

Side note on tolerance: I will add that I have awaken while under anesthesia and come out of unconsciousness in every surgery that has ever been performed on me. It also takes 2 x-rays two capture the whole length of my lungs because they are so long. So that may give you and idea on how my body deals with things, it's a fine tuned, high metabolizing beast. This should be more than enough information to help you come to some deductions about everything and good luck in your endeavors.

What one person considers to be "the best and the cleanest" is not necessarily the same to someone else. But then again you sound like a super human.

P.S. Everybody thinks they get the best and cleanest.
I can't help it that statement made me LMAO.

@ichibaneye it is always nice to see all angles and points of view from new Haze owners and thank you for sharing your excitement, detailed pictures and the story behind your first experience with Haze. The point of this forum and thread is for people to share their experience and knowledge so other members or readers who are considering this product can make informed decisions since this may or may not be the right product for them. For that, I again thank you for bringing fresh blood to this thread since you are one of the newest Haze owners as far as I know. Most of us love this product and we all share our opinions. They are all valuable.

@Norcalsun, I think what you are looking for is a comparison between Haze and other portables. Otherwise, it is really difficult to guess how many cans, bowls, loads or screens can get someone medicated or not. I think you can refer to previous pages where VapeDr. and Scott gave specific measurements of what a can holds. You can compare that amount to whichever portable you own and it can give you an idea. We all own different portables and if you let us know which brand you are familiar with, somebody on this thread can give you a direct comparison.

On the other hand, nobody can guarantee that what medicates one will get the other one high the same way. So many variables but it will give you perspective I believe.

Hope we all can help.

Sorry, I thought I stated earlier that I do own an Ascent. Ascents bowl holds about .25- .3g, depending on how dry and how tight you pack it. If I'm not mistaken I heard that the Haze cans hold about the same, maybe a touch less? Also I'm not worried about the time it takes to load the bowl, it's just the act of loading it, not very stealth. That's one reason, also if I can't get high consuming one can (.25g) then it's not very utilitarian for me and not to mention wasteful. That's the reason for my questions- I hear someone say that it took them 4 cans to get medicated/high, but now I understand that the person stating that is a super human that has the best and cleanest of everything in life so he's not a good source for me because I'm pretty normal. Thanks for the replies but could a few people that are down to earth and a little more normal maybe let me know how much it takes them to catch a good buzz? Thanks a lot.

P.S. Problems with waking up during surgeries have nothing to do with your tolerance to cannabis and over sized lungs would only enhance your ability to absorb THC and the other goodies in cannabis. So essentially you would need less to get high/medicated then "normal" people.

@trevorzamani Thank you for your kind words sir. It just goes to show you sometime no matter what a person does to try and help, not everyone will always be satisfied. Example someone asks about tolerance & quality and you give them the information they ask for, mentioned specific strains and then they try to insult you for trying to help them out. Seems a bit contrite but I will not worry about it.

After more than 23 years of being involved with strains from sprout to lung I would be a zombie if I did not know a thing or three about quality and even more so have an idea of it when is involved from start to finish for most of my time. Having been a verified and tested supplier in the past for some of the collectives in southern California, this may validate that what I was working with and my knowledge is more than acceptable concerning quality. I do not know it all, no man does and I never claimed to. I am always learning more and more everyday because I want to. I also take into consideration other peoples input and apply it accordingly.

I am no pro in the vaporizer Industry. I am just passionate about everything I enjoy and do in my life. I am an individual. I am here to help and share my personal experiences and insight with my fellow brothers and sisters. Yes I do believe I am the newest Haze owner here and proud of it! I am not however new to vaporizers and even more so have been around much longer and involved in the lifestyle that surrounds this wonderful forum. I am excited about this little gem and will continue to post my experiences and thoughts about it. I am not here to judge anyone or attack them and I understand my background might intimidate or unsettle others. However not all personalities work well together and I am fine with this. Cheers all.

Sorry i might have missed that you have an Ascent. Single can of Haze is comparable to the Ascent load and since Haze has dual chambers, you potentially have double the amount. I do not have Ascent but several Ascent users mentioned that the Haze performance is similar to Ascent so i am pretty sure that one session with Haze will be more than enough to medicate you (assuming that you are satisfied with Ascent performance). I believe Scott , Bruce or VapeDr. may do a better assessment of this.

We have determined that it doesn't take 4 cans to get medicated, and that @ichibaneye uses top shelf meds. Can we please move on? I don't see where the personal commentary is needed to discuss the Haze.

OT posts will likely be removed, so please keep the thread on topic.

Thanks.

Edit: This post is not directed at anyone in particular, but everyone in general.

This is one thing I checked out right after using both cans back to back. The Gasket that holds the stainless steel oven tops in place on the lid barely even gets warm if that. Do not, I repeat, do not touch the tops held in place by the gasket, they get extremely hot.

Hi everyone - looking forward to buying one this week. Here's a dumb question, and apologies if this has been asked and answered. These threads can be tough to search.

Are you supposed to clean the used cans between sessions and if so, how? I can only find cleaning info for the mouthpiece and the unit itself, but not the cans. I've never used concentrates before but it seems like any melted wax or whatever would need to be cleaned out before reloading, right? Do the cans ever need to be replaced, or are additional cans mostly for convenience sake?

Thanks - this puppy looks awesome.

EDIT: Same question for the oil wicks - are they one-use only or are you supposed to clean them after each use? Thanks!

Welcome to FC @Stummies Well in my experience, I get multiple uses out of the cans if I use herb only. If I mix with concentrates or just use it alone I clean after each use. To clean the cans I usually have them soak in ISO then simply wipe with a q-tip. The lids I usually just wipe quick, others use coconut milk if I'm not mistaken. The wicks I don't use so idk. Hopefully this helps and you enjoy ur future haze.

Thanks for the thorough replies. Very helpful. One more question - are there authorized dealers for the Haze or do you recommend buying from Haze directly? Obviously their customer service team is on the ball, but I found an online vape store selling the Haze for $180, which seems too good to be true. (I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to an outside retailer here.)

Definitely want to make sure I get the full warranty and the most recent version, though -- I see they have already upgraded parts and made some improvements on the first model -- so the extra $70 to know I'm getting the real deal might be worth it.

Either way, glad this is getting good reviews. I've had a Solo for a long time and enjoy it but looking for a new toy and curious about trying concentrates. Thanks again for the detail responses!

I would be careful. If a deal seems too good to be true, it usually is. I would buy directly from Haze since we all know that the customer service is great. If you still want to seek that deal, i would at least check with Haze to verify that it is one of their sellers. There are so many scammers out there.

Hey everyone - just wanted to follow up on my earlier post about the deal I saw on the Haze. I emailed their sales team with the link and received an immediate response that this online seller is not an authorized dealer, and there has been concern with unauthorized sellers peddling test models or older versions. Haze provided a list of dealers, and all of them are selling the unit for the same $249 or so you see everywhere - so beware, if you see one listed at way below that, it is probably, as I suspected, too good to be true.
