There are some early posts if u read this thread that directly compared the haze to the ascent. I don't feel the need to stir the bud in the screens or the cans. My abv is always vaped thorough and evenly. Also the haze is amazing at vaping concentrates alone. There is very little left behind.

Does the Haze vape bud as well as the Ascent? I can get very impressive clouds from the Ascent when I want to. Sorry for all the comparison questions, I just really need this info if I intend to purchase another portable vape when I already have one that seems to work well for me but lacks the ability to do oil/wax well. I also really like the cans with the lids on them and the dual bowls. Anyway thanks for all the info. I have read through this whole thread plus all the other reviews that I've found on the web but sometimes I still need more detailed answers.

No worries @Norcalsun . $250 is a big investment especially when you have other expensive vapes.

I think the Haze vaping bud is every bit as good as the Ascent (if not better). Then again if you are a temp. stepper on the Ascent you could end up missing that. If you intend to keep both devices you will have a great combo.

@Vape Dr. and @virtualpurple are owners of both so I would be interested in their take on it. Actually VP lost his tragically cuz his dog mistook it for his toy (still so sorry about that) but maybe he can go off memory.

Stirring makes my session last way longer in my opinion. The baking is uniform but when I stir (especially when I mix dry herb with wax), it makes it last longer.

I appreciate your sympathy for our fallen comrade! People have been very kind to pay respects. And @Vape Dr. has proven to be a real class act and has been on the lookout with me to find a deal for me to replace my Ascent, can't thank him enough.

It is interesting trying to compare the two units. I love the Ascent, and it was also my first experience with vaping so it holds a special place in my heart. But I also very much enjoyed the Haze. There are times when I want to step around in temps, and the Ascent is great for that.

If memory serves I was able to get a bit more cloud off my Ascent at similar temps. However, I don't know if that was due to a vapor-air ratio. The vapor may have been bigger clouds with the Ascent, but I don't think it medicates better at similar temps...I find the two equal in that regard.

My girlfriend prefers the Ascent to the Haze. However, I think that is due to her being more comfortable with the ascent with loading and unloading herb. I find the ascent easier to load up with a mini-measuring spoon. However, I love the Haze cans and don't find them particularly troubling, I just probably need a different tool than the small measuring spoon I've been using.

She also feels that the Haze gets too hot and she doesn't care for the design as much. I agree that it gets hotter, but I love the design, especially that I can position it pretty much however I like. I feel that the Ascent looks cool but I don't enjoy that it doesn't stand on its own, especially for loading. Thankfully we have geniuses like @Ratchett around. I actually kinda wish somebody made some sorta clip that could be attached to the grill to make it end flat instead of rounded out.

One other thing I prefer with the Ascent is that it does not seem to have its power diminish as the battery drains. My Haze unit does noticeably so.

If I were only going to have one unit going forward between the two it would be a tough call. I wish the Haze had the temp set up like Davinci does, but Haze has the Ascent licked in variability.

All that being said, I'm looking forward to using both units.

I realize it has a lot to do with how you pack it but overall would you consider it a tight or looser draw.I consider the Ascent, when packed firm, to have a light, easy draw until the 4 holes in the internal straw start to clog up. Also how easy is it to clean out the cans after using oil/wax in them? Do you soak or swab with Iso to clean the cans? Is the airway really simple to clean? Can you reach every part that comes in contact with vapor? Because that's where it will need to be throughly cleaned throughout its use. Thanks again, don't mean to be a pest just need this info. One more question: Is the warranty transferable?

I use the same cleaning regimen as Nick but I soak my cans every time. I am herb only and could probably get away with a wipe down and reuse but I have so many cans now that I just scrape the ABV out and dump them in iso.

I keep my iso in a small Tupperware container about the size of a pudding cup. A holds a few ounces of iso and all my cans. Just shake and all the stuff you didn't scrape out comes right off in the bath.

Like Nick, when I run out of preloaded cans it's time to clean, grind and reload!

Edit: Oh I almost forgot.....I soak the silicone lids in coconut milk. You can probably just give them a quick wipe with a q-tip and some iso but I find it easier to just dump them in their own bath.

Thank you!!! I tried soaking them in some citrus based organic vape cleaner n they blew up to triple the size lol I put them in ISO after to shrink them back. If I leave them in the ISO the size is a little off. Does the coconut milk clean them? How long do u soak them? Nd I'm assuming they stay the same size right? Lol

Don't thank me. This was an idea given to me from @Vape Dr.

I usually put them in the container dry after I dump the abv. When I get to grinding and cleaning my cans I fill up the container with coconut milk. I would love to leave them in the milk all the time like I do with my cans in iso but the milk is perishable so I just soak them for about 10-15 minutes while I am grinding up my herb. I give the container a rigorous shake, dump the milk and dry them off. They come out looking brand new!

My Ascent and Haze works both very well. Haze does wax and oil like a charm and dual chamber. Also removable battery which is really important to me. Cleaning is much easier with Haze for sure. I never mess with ton of temp settings so that is a mute for me. If I have to give up one of my vapes, that would be Ascent at this point. I am too hooked to Haze nowadays

I never had experience with Persei but with Haze, you cannot go wrong. Everything that are needed are already on the unit or included.

I was dead set on the Persei but the more I look at it the more I am leaning Haze. I mean the first vape that can handle anything. That is a big selling point just on that alone. Not to mention the extras are not to expensive, like cans, screens and the like. Another thing I noticed is that it seemed to be so simple to clean and not much to clean on the unit itself, another great benefit, it leave a guy more time to load and play with cans/mixtures. I am just hoping that Haze or some 3rd party company starts to make some water/glass attachments to enhance the in-home experience when one is not on the go. Has anyone heard a rumor of anyone making things like this for the Haze? Thanks all and happy vaping.

While you aren't wrong, I would recommend the canned coconut milk that is found in the Asian food section of your average supermarket. It has a significantly higher saturated fat content than the coconut milk in the dairy section and thusly will absorb more of the THC from the resin left behind on the caps. That is of course assuming you do consume the milk after the soaking!

I learned this on a tip and just asked my wife to bring some home and that's what she brought. Good to know though. I was just trying to use something that would clean them effectively without harming them. Thanks!

If your just looking to vape just oils, the Persei and globe with the nibbler G or the Hercules with the nibbler X is where its at. I Love My oil, and I love W9 Tech.

However if you looking for a dual purpose vaporizer that comes in a very close second to the any W9 Tech oil vaporizer, the haze is absolutely awesome!
I can truly say that the haze is very, very close to the persei with the pure taste of oils, and it is a little more conservative IMPO.
The only downfall is you have to hold the Haze horizontal when you vape oils, and maintain the stem. Remember these oils are sticky.

I am getting ready to try oil with a cotton pad that I soaked in re-claim and see how that works.
I understand Haze is also working on new cans which is awesome because their current cans work fantastic!
I have been so happy with the way my haze works so far.

I lay my Hercules on its side. it heats up quicker IMO. If the coils are saturated, no need to keep it straight up.

By the way I am excited about the new can design you mentioned on the Haze. Is there any other news you have on the unit, upgrades,tweaks or the like?
