Thanks for the kind words. Just a trippy tidbit....did some hot yoga this morning and sweated like a savage. What's insane is that I just got back from a 90 min deep tissue massage, and I SWEAR i'm baked! LOL I could start sensing tingles on the table, but now that i'm at home I know i'm not completely straight. Maybe i'm just really tired. Either way, it's WEIRD having such clear thinking with the fog gone! I LOVE it.

May do an accupuncture session later with a chinese medicine doc...

And interestingly enough and with the risk of TMI, I am noticing some very nice effects from not vaping over the past week if you know what i'm saying. ;)
See, this makes sense to me! I like my sex sober ;) I perform better and find men do too. I have noticed my lover can have "issues" if he smokes too much prior and he is a pretty virile 30yr old ~

I did do a pee test just for fun, but ofcourse I still tested positive lol One time even after like 5 weeks I was still positive.

Wow! 5 weeks is a long time for urine!

Thanks for being my audience @Dawntreader My intention is that this journaling will help others going through the same thing. And whoever is reading this, I can always be contacted by PM!

You're welcome @biohacker ! I enjoy reading you :) You are very helpful to me in understanding what a very real issue high tolerance is, chemical dependency and the process of withdrawal from something i did not know was possible to develop an addiction to. You are very helpful in illustrating how important it is to "use wisely".

LOL! I am a massage therapist, hot yogaist AND i receive needles weekly and i can tell you that post massage, you just released alot of stored shit into the blood stream! Enjoy the high! LOL! The other 2 therapies will do the same just not to the same scale. I would say throw some beet juice and some tumeric into your diet and you will be pretty clean in no time!

Wow, really? It got to the point of my tolerance where my eyes wouldn't get red, at all. Makes it easier to go out and function high LOL

There is a time and place for both. But I prefer baked, because there are no "outside thoughts or distractions" and can focus more, and just way more relaxed. 30yo? You must be teaching your lover some things...hehehehe...snicker. :brow:

Not when you have more THC in your body than blood!

You're tripping me out! Sounds like we have alot in common! I had beets (2 different kinds) in my veggie juice this morning! I like what beets do to my sex life due to the nitric oxide! Zooooooooom! Turmeric is in my cooking nearly daily! Looks like i've got all my bases covered lol Kinda feel funky after that massage, kinda like the toxin release, but mixed in with being tired. Pretty busy day today, and I still have to do my weights routine since I have the energy (somewhat).

Stay tuned for more to come! lol

Again, i would say, if you can get to the very place you describe sober ( no outside thoughts or distractions) that would be the truest compliment to your lover and yourself :) I did try it baked last week and it was great in a different way as you describe but i like high energy in that arena ;)

This is hilarious! no wonder the physical effects of the break have been so pronounced!

Completely agree, but it can be difficult with racing thoughts, stress, anxiety, etc. It's funny though, because it's amazing how great sober sex can be....and you're bang on about the high (pardon the pun!) energy! I'll let you know how this morning goes via PM :brow:

Pretty sure yours is a little greater than mine!

This has inspired me to eat more beetroots.

It's all about blood flow! Too much vaping does not help me in this area.

So just a quick update...DAY #10 today! Slept from about 9pm to 1:30am....not bad, woke up with a wet t-shirt again, but feeling pretty good....tried to nap on the sofa, impossible..wide awake, so just listened to a podcast and then turned on the red lights (as to not disrupt melatonin), and have f.lux on the computer on low brightness. It's kinda trippy being up through the night when everyone else is sleeping, then again I wake up when many just go to sleep :D

Going for another sweat session at hot yoga!

EDIT: Way too exhausted....today isn't a good day... need to recover from yesterday... maybe a walk, if that. Decided to not touch weed until these sweats subside.

POW!! Slept 8:45-2:15 followed by a 30 min nap and feel like a million dollars!!!! I didn't even sweat a drop and feel SO refreshed! The night sweats weren't related to withdrawal after all, but it was actually my diet - which is why i've been having night sweats for the past several months. I did a carb backload last night by inhaling a medium pizza and a couple of beers, and that did the trick! I was burning fat through thermogenesis at night, and probably converting proteins in muscle to glucose through gluconeogenesis.

I can't believe how AWESOME I feel!!! So nice to be able to sleep without sweating for the first time in many, many months. I've been grain and gluten free for a long time, and although extremely lean and ripped now, i'm changing my priorities to focus more on muscle growth, and that means more carbs.

Going to hit up the hot yoga class! Thanks again to all for listening, and i'll still update....huge shoutout to @Dawntreader for all the PM's and helping me get throught this - God bless your soul girl!

Just checking in inbetween jobs today and good to read such positive update! Would not have guessed you were low on carbs with the sweats but it is certainly something i will look at in my own diet as well because i eat very little carbs, simple or complex and have alot of difficultly maintaining homeostatis with my body temp. And it could just be my hormones! LOL!

Glad i could be an ear for you @biohacker :)

Just curious, but am i the only one who thinks this little "rock on" emoticon :rockon:looks like he is doing something else with the unseen hand? Please tell me i am not the only pervert out here!

I started using cannabis recreationally. I use for both now. I can cut back for a few days. Then go without for a week or so. I go about it slowly. We all have to go about it in whatever way works for us.

I'm unable to take anti inflammatories for arthritis that I have in my low back (disc L4,5) also my feet and hands. I use cannabis to help with the muscle cramping and joint pain, I have nerve pain too. The pain at times radiates into my legs, sometimes it feels I hurt all over.

My tolerance goes up, after a while I need to bring it down, but slowly. I'm enjoying trying out the different strains now that I have a mj cert. My tolerance is a bit high right now.

I implement carb backloading by John Kiefer now....i don't touch any carbs during the day, only at night. No more paleo! Try some "safe starches" at dinner....rice, potatoes, whatever you like. I'm starting to eat a bit "dirtier" and not so worried about gluten as much. With respect to your body temp, could it be some form of detox or withdrawal? This happens to me every single t-break for the first few days to a week...cold chills and I freeze. Totally common....however all chicks are always cold! lol Could be hypotension too.

As you know, you aren't the only pervert here, but good observation! lol

I can definitely empathize....I have severe herniated discs (C6, C7) with spinal cord impingement with resulting permanent nerve damage that inervates my right side of my body....most my upper body, so right pec, upper back/shoulder, and tricep muscle....it's fucked...I went from being right side dominant to left side. It was a shitty road, and the pain can suck, especially lopsided strength, but nerve apparently can regenerate at a rate of 2mm/year, so I keep hoping I can get more power and muscle back. Fortunately all the lost sensation/tingles down my arm have gone away.

I assume your sciatica is affected? This I don't wish on my worst enemy.

Dont think so Bio because it has been going on for several years since i tweaked my dietary choices

Nothing can touch the pain when the sciatic nerve flairs up. Thats when I go in for a steroid epidural shot to the base of the spine. I have spinal stenosis too. I have damage to my Kidneys from years of anti inflammatories.

That's what the docs tell you to take. They should be giving out cannabis instead. My HMO doc doesn't give out certifications for cannabis. I had to go to a naturapath to get my cert. I had never seen her before. In 20 min I had my mmj certification.

It's easy for your tolerance to creep up.

Thyroid and adrenal issues are becoming seriously common these days. Stress is huge - always activating the sympathetic nervous system. You sound nearly identical to a good friend of mine, she's 39 and metabolically crippled. Her endocrine system is in rough shape.

Oh fuck yeah. Sciatica is the only thing that women have admitted to me hurts more than child birth. I actually got sympathy from women when I whined about how much it hurt. It was amazing.

It really, really sucks because it can take weeks to resolve too (which it did for me). No drug could touch the pain.

Prior to the corpectomey and fusion of my C5-C7 I was in a lot of pain too. Would've been nice to have a card back then (there was no MMJ in those days)

Hear you on the tolerence thing too. An endless supply makes this real easy to do. I generally take at least two days off before I go at it a little heavier over the weekend.

Sciatica really sucks. I had a few epidurals then finally couldn't walk at all and got an l-2 micro-discectomy, which I totally recommend over the epidurals all they do is keep you on the drugs. I'm on drugs anyways, but for an inoperable degenerative cervical condition not my lower back/sciatica thank you very much!

Yep, i herniated L5-S1 and waited over a year til i started to have difficulty walking before i went to a neurosurgeon. I was eating advil like candy. I had the epidural and it did nothing. I had 2 micro discectomies due to a re herniation same level but both times pain relief was instant. I am so grateful for the experience though because it gave me greater appreciation for those living with chronic pain that drugs or surgery cannot alleve~

Oh no, this is not me at all! I just run cold with a normal body temp of 96 and always carry a little jacket but i am perfectly healthy!

Sorry, I was exhausted last night, it was a busy day and you know how sleep deprived I am, that didn't come out right. I was just relating to a girl I work with that's always cold, I didn't mean to imply that you had health issues. This was occuring in the ammonia thread and I know how it feels when people try to inject fear into you even though you know you are perfectly healthy.

Prior to the corpectomey and fusion of my C5-C7 I was in a lot of pain too. Would've been nice to have a card back then (there was no MMJ in those days)

Wow really, you got them fused? How is that? I'm assuming your range of motion is now compromised? I have degenerative disc disease and am praying it doesn't get worse. My herniations are the result of wear and tear as well as several accidents, and a physically difficult lifestyle (military, sports, my present career)..lots of injuries, as well as an abusive diet/lifestyle all throughout my 20's. I hope I can minimize further damage based on my MRI's, because I really don't want to go through this again. I literally lost ALL my muscle on my right pec, right tricep, and upper back/shoulder. I couldn't even do a single pushup or pull up, even though I could pump them out like crazy before. I'm back to where i'm happy again, but part of me will obviously never be the same. But I am paranoid about what the future will hold, because it will mean my career is over. Looking forward to an early retirement...Freedom 45!

So back on topic.... just a quick update.... again slept about 5 hours, 9-2... feel not as good as yesterday but decent...very very mild sweat (damp shirt) so it's not only diet, but still some withdrawal....still not dreaming yet, but i'm sure that will come this week.

Something to note....had 2 beers with my dinner last night (mmmmm, heineken), and I definitely feel it even after 1/2 of my first...it's not an alcohol buzz feeling, but more like the weed tingles! I still get these from time to time....and I even have them right now, after injesting some saturated fat (beef fat)...like i'm really buzzing! lol I suppose that since THC is alcohol and fat soluable, this causes release of the metabolites? I don't know, but it's crazy!

Almost 2 weeks in! And after this week of work i'm on holidays for 2 weeks, so I REALLY have to watch my indulgence.

@biohacker Why are you on a Ketogenic diet ? Is it treatment ? or a lifestyle choice ? I'm on a very High fat, very High calorie with moderate carbs/protein diet for health reasons (a 'modified' ketogenic diet I'm told).

I Know It's not really a healthy way for healthy people to eat. Most dietitians I've seen would say it's not optimal nutritionally if not necessary to control seizures/drain Bramage.

Hey dude, lifestyle/health reasons.... most (if not all) dieticians are completely useless IMHO. I have a feeling that i'm quite the specimen for experimentation for t-break/withdrawal after 6 months over hardcore morrning to night vaping (including killer concentrates). As you can see from the Ammonia thread LOL.

I completely disgree with your thoughts that ketogenic isn't a healthy way for healthy people to eat. However, i'm not really that ketogenic (actually I believe we pretty much all are during the night), more like ultra low carb all day, and now I pound the carbs at night as per John Kiefer's carb backloading, and/or carb nite depending on my activity level.

Something new today today though....holy crap, SERIOUS tingles all over...very intense, no carbs today save for veggies/salad...must be the release of metabolites due to the fat burning process. I actually HATE this feeling....very light headed, most likely due to the lack of sleep over the past couple of weeks. Nothing new, my wife says I slept every other night last round (in May).

So yeah, I guess we're on the same diet! Super high fat! But my goals are hypertrophy now, which is the reason for addition of carbs. Thanks for the message!

I can relate to everything you just said!
I have not taken time to see which type of fat cells the thc prefers to bond to but as i have very little regular fat, i am wondering if it prefers the so called "brown" fat that surrounds our body organs ...this might explain why i feel a certain amount of high even days after i initially ingest when there is some fat in my meal? I also tend to get higher off my edibles than others do because of the foods i ingest with so the fat binding equation really intrigues me.

And on THAT note i am taking my buttery high self out to the county park to walk off the bacon i ate it with, inspired by the manly munchies thread ( http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-manliest-of-foods.16216/#post-687584) in which bacon has received top billing!

I completely disgree with your thoughts that ketogenic isn't a healthy way for healthy people to eat.

I think they say that because most people don't get enough exercise, so consuming my high fat 8000-11000 calorie daily diet for a sedentary but "healthy"person wouldn't be very healthy for long.
