I would not disagree with you on that.They shouldve beta tested more before releasing it, thats their mistake
GV's blunder was, foremost, changing the software in their already finished, beta-tested prototype by unlocking the heating temps during mfg &, then, releasing it without beta-testing.
I'm sorry, but I cannot agree with this. They definitely have issues well beyond the unlock and in particular the need for internal calibration loop to compensate for variance in manufactured heater performance that falls well outside their expected tolerances called for by their systems engineering.
Also, I personally do not believe that the significant non-linearity of performance with even minor battery depletion was caused by the 'unlock'.
Sorry, I like those guys a lot, have a bit of a personal relationship with Patrick, but I need to call a spade a spade and say that given the level and type of issues they are having to solve, if they ran a beta test it was very poorly designed and the real issues were only flushed out once the current beta began.....which was after it was open for sale.
There is not a snowball's chance in hell that all of this came from unlocking two of the six temp settings, IMO.
