I'm still blown away at how tasty this vape is. Received some strawberry cough, sweet flavour. I can definitely taste the cherry in there and there is a hint of something else, it is like cough syrup but I'm not sure if I'm just confusing this with the cherry.
With the MV1 I'm starting to be able to pick out these hints/tones/flavonoids/terpenes. I can't name them yet but I'm starting to recognise them. Like with some stardawg the other day. It's sort of got a peppery feel. (for me- in my opinion 10 months of none combustion vaping - own 8 vapes. Mighty, plenty, digit, extreme q, Davinci IQ, Boundless Tera, X max Starry and now 2 MV1's. Owned cheap vapes before but fully quit smoking now).
I'm sure there will be other vapes with similar or better flavour - my friend who still smokes but I let him try my gadgets says every time I get a new one we say the same thing - you can actually taste the bud. We generally mix tobacco with joints which was my main reason for quitting but the by product is that I enjoy the experience a lot more than I did when smoking. I was never really a bong guy in the sense of owning a bong but we would always find ways to make our own. I always had fonder times of bong events and the volcano to glass dispenser in my profile is a sort of ode to one of those times - 8 people sat around a homemade 'shisha' made from 2 large water drinks dispenser bottles joined by a metal bar from a set of weights.
I now own a couple of bubblers and I feel like I'm a little OCD when it comes to having spares - screens, cleaning, poking, o rings. I can count 5 grinders on my desktop right now and I'm sure I have another couple stored somewhere - some free with S&B products, I even got a free grinder when I bought a grinder once and to top it off I got a grinder card. I bought a Kannastor GR8TR which I love for fine grind with other vapes but I bust out the older grinders that I kept just incase to experiment with different grinds for using with the ghost. I do feel like the finer grinds still work quite well with the MV1 but I don't think it's THAT picky with how you grind your herb.
I still get hotspots but they're less significant. I can also taste when this happens and this reminds me of when I bought the Mighty - I had a rebranded kandypens miva that wouldn't really produce much vapour until it was set over 420°F then it would just seem to go on forever or until I couldn't take much more. With the Mighty I noticed that I could tell when the vapour was tailing off. With the MV1 it feels like I know I'm going to get between 6 and 10 hits MAX but this makes a little more sense if I think that I 'sip' most other vapes but with the MV1 I'm more hitting it like a Mighty or the Tera through a bubbler/bong and when you (I) do that it reduces the amount of hits I get significantly. MV1 makes me cough but it does feel like very cool tasty vapour.
The other thing I'm enjoying experimenting with is different methods of usage. I'm microdosing - described a few of my posts back. I'll temp step or just run this at a certain temperature. Sometimes I don't feel like temp stepping (starting at level 1 and working up) gets me where I want to be so I'll put a fresh load in and aim high.
You all know that this is all about preference. What works for you might not work for me. Lets see what 2019 brings. I've got about an hour left of 2018 and I'm going to use that to relax, play some guitar and have a new year vape.
